Rip off! I was verbally informed by Veronica their costs were to keep them afloat. Took two days for someone, Veronica, to return a phone call regarding our charges.

I guess I can't really comment on how good they are because THEY NEVER SHOWED UP! I had a time frame of between 1-5. One of their trucks was actually at my neighbors, so I figured when they were done with that job, they'd get to me. At around 4:00 I called them to get an ETA. I was told a technician in the area was just finishing up and would be at my place soon. I decided to go out to my neighbors to see when they thought they'd be to my home and they were gone! I then got a text at 4:11 saying my technician was in route and would be at my home soon. At 4:55, I called again to get someone before they left for the day and was told he would be here ""soon"". 5:18 -- another call and an hour after I got the text -- but now I'm only getting a phone service -- being told they will get a hold of the technician and someone would be calling me back. Nothing. Another call at 5:31 -- same thing -- and no one calls back. 5:40 -- now REALLY mad -- same thing. I finally get a call around 5:45 from a guy saying he was on his way. When I asked where he was coming from, he said South Bay -- I live in Rancho Bernardo -- and he wouldn't be to my house until 6:30. REALLY??? Why would the office leave for the day without checking to make sure all of their appointments had been taken care of? If you're someone that needs to take the day off from work to wait for a worker, then DO NOT call this company! And no one from the company has called me today to apologize or offer to reschedule and a discount for missing the appointment. Such horrible customer service and I hope that my review will just cause even one person to reconsider using this company.

Our water flow valve into the house began to leak. After calling several plumbers with no response I called Plumbing Plus. The person answering the phone was both professional and effective. A great plumber was sent that afternoon. He assessed the problem and put in a new valve and shut off. He was both personable and capable. We would recommend Plumbing unconditionally for service and timelines.

5 Stars for workmanship, 1 star for price, so average of 3 stars. I have used Plumbing Plus several times, going back more than 10 years to when they were affiliated with Remodel Works. On the last occasion, the angle stop on the water line to my new fridge needed to be replaced though it wasn't leaking so it wasn't an emergency. Over $700 for one angle stop sweated onto the pipe in much less than an hour on a weekday as a non-emergency.

I called the office to complain about the price (which my wife agreed to when she was multi-tasking on teleconferences and I was in the office with customers) and was told that PP doesn't charge by the hour. After a couple of calls with them, I really don't know how they come up with prices for repairs and the explanation I got was opaque (to be polite about it). I was offered a $100 discount (via voice mail) and have not heard anything in 3-4 weeks. I've not had a call back as I had requested when I replied to the voice mail. The workmanship is good but the prices are just hard to accept.

The president sent us an email (from an no-reply) account asking how things were and to contact him if we had any questions or concerns. I'm not sure how I'm supposed to contact him on his no-reply email when phone calls and emails to customer service have gone nowhere.

I'm going to avoid Plumbing Plus in future because the pricing seems excessive.

Gilbert got right to work unplugging my bathroom sink. He did a great job of it and cleaned up thoroughly. He was very pleasant and helpful. Cost was reasonable. I highly recommend plumbers plus.

This company is awesome! Our condo complex has a 100 gallon hot water heater that went out and was leaking all over the utility room. After calling around to a few companies who said they weren't sure if they could do the job, quoted us outrageous prices, or just didn't call us back, Plumbing Plus absolutely saved the day. They had very fair pricing and said they could get it done that day. The plumber who came out, Gilbert, was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. He explained what he was going to do and got the job done! We are extremely happy with the service we received and will be using Plumbing Plus again!

Martin was super friendly! I called about a toilet issue, and they addressed it same day! Were quick as lightning, fair about pricing, courteous and kind. Had a small issue arise over the weekend and they came out to fix it again at no extra cost, and taught me how to keep the problem from reoccurring! Christina at the phone lines was very sweet and responsive as well. Highly recommend

Our water heater went cold. Found Plumbing Plus on Yelp. They, were local, and responded quickly and replaced the old water heater with a new one. Highly Recommend them for quick and efficient service.

Unfortunately, I didn't have great first experience - all due to their cost/quote, not their service.
I had a water heater that was throwing an error code that the burner needed to be replaced so I called Plumbing Plus for the first time based on all the positive reviews.
They are very responsive and the nice lady on the phone was very friendly, courteous and professional.
The technician promptly showed up and called me after he was done (I wasn't there) and said that he restarted the water heater and everything looked fine (no issues with the burner which was good news to me. Maybe the wind blew the pilot out, but that doesn't explain the error code.) Anyway, all great so far!
He was initially going to charge $228 to re-light the water heater which I thought was extremely excessive, given he must have been there all of about 20 minutes and no parts were replaced. This was a standard call on a Tue during normal business hours and they are located about 8 miles away.
He explained there was the $59 dispatch fee (which was explained on the phone) plus a minimum ""Quick Fix"" fee of $166. I told him I thought $228 was excessive and he agreed to remove the $59 dispatch fee. He was very polite and there was no arguing, so I settled at $166, which I still feel is excessive.
However, the bigger issue I was disappointed with is I asked for a quote to replace the burner in case the burner really does need to be replaced should the issue happed again. The quote I received was for $1258 and doesn't include the burner! I about fell on the floor. Surely, this has to be a mistake?
The same brand/size/type water heater at Lowes sells for $750 for a completely new unit (not including installation/permits/disposal, etc). Replacing the burner/controller/thermopile assy is a pretty straight forward procedure and doesn't take that long and the part can be found online for about $250.
Anyway, they seem to be good at responding to Yelp comments, so I hope they provide some more insight and I'll retract/amend my comments if appropriate.
Again, the technician and the gal on the phone were all very courteous and service was prompt, just way too expensive.
