I was out of town and a friend was here. The shower would not shut off. It was a $10 plastic handle that needed to replace. The charge was $265. I would not trust them for a fair price for work completed.

Job was done. It was way more expensive than I imagined. Thst was ok... my decision to proceed. But this damage? !? I just noticed it. I do not recommend them.

This company doesn't deserve one star! They charged me 1000 for John a supervisor to put in a water softener in that was already over half done.He was curt and didn't even want business he said from the water softener company and had no time for a quote for a recirculating pump. 3 months later I tried to turn on my sprinklers that were attached to the water main where the plumbing for the softener was and there was no water going to it. John said his work is not warranted which per CA law and licensing there should be a 1 year warranty! They would have charged me 100 to turn a valve on that they left closed while they did their work! rude! 5000 in landscaping could have died due to their carelessness! The water softener guy came out to fix it the same day. 5 min. There were 5 valves and I wasn't sure which one to open but even as a women knew that was it or they plumbed it wrong.

My go to plumbers. I called them for a leak on a new tub. They showed up and asked what was going on, he worked with the other guy working on our house to save us money. He fixed the problem in no time at all. Didn't charge us for diagnosing. What I really like is they charge by the job not by the hour. Everyone that I've interacted with has been super friendly.

A toilet in my house had backed up into the bathtub, so I called for a diagnosis. Jorge did a camera inspection and found a blockage in the sewer line in my front yard. The crew excavated the area over the pipe, made the repair, and installed safety shoring on a Monday. There was a large pile of dirt on the lawn area and a portion of the driveway. Public Works did their inspection Tuesday, and the crew returned to finish the job on Wednesday. They did a great job filling the hole and replacing the lawn. It looked like it did before the excavation. Jorge dropped by Thursday and gave me copies of the City of Davis permit and other documents.

I got an estimate from this company to replace my faucet outside that has two sprinkler head that was leaking connected to it which also needed to be replaced. This is also the first time that i have ever needed to write a review. Weve been constructing our home for the past 3 years off and on so i have received lots of bids from different types of work. Ive even received mediocre work and got wrong things installed and never complained but this company OMG!! The guys wrote me a quote for over $700.00 about 350 for replacement of the faucet and 414 for the 2 sprinkler valve. I was so shocked that he didnt even get a chance to write down the propoasal. I asked him why would a 10.00 item from homedepot cost me 414.00 to replaced??? He looked at me with a dumb founded face. Oohh he also stared at the faucet for a good 15-20 minutes before he came up with quote. He also came back 2x after he had left saying he lost his phone, we asked him to call it, he wouldnt... 2nd time he came back he actually called it rushing thru our house as if he had to rush to the next customer he was going to try and rip off. Seriously. ..my personal opinion is that this guy had no knowledge what so ever of what to charge people. And the way he stared at athe faucet made me think WOW there is no way this guys is working on my house. Maybe there they have other employees that are honest but the one that came to my house,,,,SHAME ON YOU!!!

I have NEVER felt this ripped off! I called them out to unclog my shower. The one guy worked and worked on it. After awhile he called a couple of other guys to come out and help. The charged me $96.00 and that was with the $25.00 coupon. They told me after going under the house that I needed my pipes replaced, and that they would have to cut out 10 foot of pipe. The cost would be $1000.00. Yes you read that right one thousand dollars. I also need a root cut out and that would be another $400.00. I told them that I wanted to wait and get a second opinion. Boy o boy i'am i glad I did. When my handyman Floyd came out he went under the house and said that my pipes where fine and that they all looked new. The root that the plumbing doctor was looking at was a dead root and had nothing to do with the plumbing. I will never call them out again.

The Plumbing Doctor company was very responsive and willing to take a look at sewer line without a minimum charge.

Josh was our guy. He did both the gas line repair and the sewer line repair. We greatly enjoyed working with him. He was very responsive to our questions/issues (even responding to text messages over the weekend). He explained the process and was upfront about the different cost options available to us.

The gas line leak/repair was fixed on the first try (we heard stories of it taking multiple times). The sewer line repair was a bit more involved but Josh was able to help us navigate that repair as well. His workmanship appears to be of good quality. He was also very patient with us as we had to take into consideration some unique issues of having an older house.
Overall, I highly recommend calling the Plumbing Doctors and ask for Josh.

GREAT COMPANY! I had a very good experience using the plumbing dr. My water heater went out and was replaced the same day. They gave me a price before the plumber started and stuck to it. I didn't get one price at first and then a higher price afterwards. The plumber was also very courteous and respectful. I will definitely use them again and highly recommend them.

THEY DO NOT PROVIDE INVOICE BREAK DOWNS. BAD BUSINESS. This plumber tried to charge me $650 to replace a toilet - yes seriously. When I asked for a breakdown of why the cost was so high, Ron from customer service, refused. He said they use ""good toilets"" and could not give me a break down. I have never heard of a business not providing a break down for parts and labor for the task. Just insane. Definitely will not be calling his plumbing business again. NOTE: They go by Plumbing MD and Plumbing Doctor.
