Plumbing Distributors, Inc was established on June 1, 1973, by Gladston Mealor and his son, Sidney, at 166 Buford Drive in Lawrenceville. The company began with a team of four, including Glad and Sid, providing counter sales and delivery services.

PDI secured its status as a distributor for American Standard on February 13, 1976. This partnership significantly enhanced PDI's reputation. This line helped us demonstrate our strength in the plumbing industry. This success led to securing additional major plumbing brands, including A.O. Smith water heaters and Aqua Glass bath fixtures.

As PDI expanded, the necessity for a larger facility became clear. We wanted to stay connected to our roots in Lawrenceville. We obtained a property in a developing industrial park off Collins Hill Road, which offered convenient access to Georgia Highway 316. Between 1984 and 2006, our Corporate Headquarters were located at 20 Collins Hill Road, but we had to move again to support our expansion.
