Plumbing Distributors, Inc was established on June 1, 1973, by Gladston Mealor and his son, Sidney, at 166 Buford Drive in Lawrenceville. The small business started with four employees, including Glad and Sid, focusing on counter sales and delivery.

On February 13, 1976, we became a distributor for American Standard. This was a major milestone for PDI. The American Standard line allowed us to establish ourselves as a competitive player in the plumbing market. This success led to securing additional major plumbing brands like A.O. Smith water heaters and later Aqua Glass bath fixtures.

As PDI expanded, it became clear that a larger facility was necessary. Our goal was to keep our presence near our original location in Lawrenceville. A piece of land was secured in an industrial park off Collins Hill Road, ensuring easy access to Georgia Highway 316. Between 1984 and 2006, our Corporate Headquarters were located at 20 Collins Hill Road, but we had to relocate again to support our expansion.
