Plumbing & Cooling Nerds is the third evolution of the plumbing and air conditioning company that Founder and CEO John Verhoff started after moving to Southwest Florida in 2007. At first, he specialized in new construction projects. But after making it through the 2008-2009 recession, he recognized that working with contractors limited his control over business operations. In 2012, Verhoff shifted focus to strictly home service, initially collaborating with a friend on a business with branches in Florida and two other states. In 2016, he acquired his friend's share of the Florida segment of the business, he required a new name and brand image. And that's when Plumbing & Cooling Nerds was born. Plumbing & Cooling Nerds prides itself on offering “smarter home solutions” that are “offered with a passion for excellence”.

Hello, I’m John Verhoff, the founder and ""Head Nerd"" at Plumbing & Cooling Nerds. I've been passionate about home services since high school, and I strive to deliver the best service possible to my clients. In 2007, I launched Plumbing Nerds, I recognized the demand for a more customer-focused plumbing service. We aim to ""redefine how skilled trades are perceived"". This means delivering tech-savvy and modern solutions to everyday plumbing needs.
