Plumbing & Cooling Nerds is the third evolution of the plumbing and air conditioning company that was founded by John Verhoff after relocating to Southwest Florida in 2007. He initially worked on new construction projects. However, after navigating the 2008-2009 recession, he recognized that working with contractors limited his control over business operations. In 2012, Verhoff redirected his efforts towards home services, initially collaborating with a friend on a business with branches in Florida and two other states. In 2016, he acquired his friend's share of the Florida segment of the business, he needed a new name and identity. That’s when Plumbing & Cooling Nerds came to life. At Plumbing & Cooling Nerds, we take pride in providing “smarter home solutions” that are “delivered with nerd-like enthusiasm”.

Hello, I’m John Verhoff, the founder and ""Head Nerd"" at Plumbing & Cooling Nerds. I've been passionate about home services since high school, and I am devoted to offering top-tier service to my customers. In 2007, I launched Plumbing Nerds, I saw a need for a more customer-centric approach to plumbing. We aim to ""redefine how skilled trades are perceived"".
