Plumbing & Cooling Nerds represents the latest chapter in the plumbing and HVAC industry that was founded by John Verhoff after relocating to Southwest Florida in 2007. Initially, he focused on new construction. But after making it through the 2008-2009 recession, he understood that contractor work restricted his business autonomy. In 2012, he pivoted to focus exclusively on home service, first partnering with a friend on a company that had locations in Florida and two other states. When he bought out his friend on the Florida portion of the business in 2016, he required a new name and brand image. And that's when Plumbing & Cooling Nerds was born. Plumbing & Cooling Nerds is dedicated to delivering “smarter home solutions” that are “offered with a passion for excellence”.

Hi, I'm John Verhoff, the founder and ""Head Nerd"" of Plumbing & Cooling Nerds. I've been passionate about home services since high school, and I strive to deliver the best service possible to my clients. In 2007, I launched Plumbing Nerds, I saw a need for a more customer-centric approach to plumbing. Our mission is to ""transform perceptions of skilled trades"". This means delivering tech-savvy and modern solutions to everyday plumbing needs.
