Plumbing & Cooling Nerds is the latest iteration of the plumbing and HVAC company started by John Verhoff when he moved to Southwest Florida in 2007. He began his career working on new builds. Yet, following the 2008-2009 recession, he realized that contractor work restricted his business autonomy. In 2012, Verhoff redirected his efforts to home services, first collaborating with a friend on a company with locations in Florida and two other states. When he acquired his friend's share of the Florida segment in 2016, he sought a new name and brand identity. That’s when Plumbing & Cooling Nerds came to life. Plumbing & Cooling Nerds is dedicated to delivering “smarter home solutions” infused with “nerd-like enthusiasm”.

My passion for home services began in high school, and I am devoted to delivering the highest quality service to my clients. When I founded Plumbing Nerds in 2007, I recognized the necessity for a more customer-oriented plumbing solution. We aim to “change the way the world views skilled trades,” meaning we provide innovative, tech-driven solutions for common plumbing needs.
