Plumbing & Cooling Nerds is the evolution of the plumbing and air conditioning firm established by John Verhoff after his move to Southwest Florida in 2007. At first, he concentrated on new construction projects. But after enduring the 2008-2009 recession, he understood that contractor jobs didn’t allow him the control he desired. In 2012, Verhoff redirected his efforts to home services, first collaborating with a friend on a company with locations in Florida and two other states. After buying out his friend’s stake in the Florida division in 2016, he needed a fresh name and identity. That’s when Plumbing & Cooling Nerds came to life. Plumbing & Cooling Nerds is dedicated to delivering “smarter home solutions” infused with “nerd-like enthusiasm”.

My passion for home services began in high school, and I am devoted to delivering the highest quality service to my clients. When I launched Plumbing Nerds in 2007, I identified a demand for a more customer-focused plumbing approach.
