Long ahead of the sustainability movement, this local has promoted effective practices. This includes water-saving plumbing fixtures, energy-saving methods of air conditioning, or affordable hydronic heating, Local 149 avoids the one-size-fits-all approaches. Our members are educated to comprehend the best piping systems that best fit different needs and conditions. Once they complete our five-year apprenticeship program, the apprentices acquire the hands-on skills and theoretical knowledge necessary to best serve our profession.
I have held the position of Business Manager and Financial Secretary and Treasurer since the year 2008.
