Representing the hardworking Journeymen and Apprentices Plumbing Professionals, Pipefitters and Steamfitters, Welding Specialists, Refrigeration Techs, and HVAC Professionals of the East Central Illinois region.
The members of Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 149 value their union for several reasons.

Well before the sustainability movement, Local 149 was teaching sustainable practices. Whether through water-saving plumbing fixtures, energy-saving methods of air conditioning, or affordable hydronic heating, this organization avoids the generic approaches. Our members are educated to understand the intricacies of piping systems that best fit specific situations and contexts. Once they complete our five-year apprenticeship program, our members acquire the hands-on skills and academic knowledge needed to effectively serve our profession.
I have served as Business Manager and Financial Secretary and Treasurer since 2008.
