My home warranty sent plumber by trade Joe to come out because I had a leak in my kitchen I would definitely never recommend them or at least not Joe who didn't introduce himself was very unprofessional couldn't determine where the leak was at and when I asked questions talked down to me like I was stupid didn't appreciate it in my time of need he accomplished nothing but being rude and a waste of money. Even if the repair was beyond something he can do there was no reason to be so condescending and disrespectful it was really really bad.

This company is not safe to use. We had a valve put on for future range gas line which we paid for and a tub faucet replaced that Fidelaty Warranty paid. I had told them the size of the line but he showed up without any parts. The gas was shut off to the house for install, then turned back on. Within a few minutes of them leaving, I smelled gas in the house so called the company. It took 40 minutes for him to return. They knew I was nervous about gas, having been in a house fire. The valve outside was turned so hard that it took me multiple tries to turn off. The owner of the company told me I was wrong, there was no gas in the house, my heater had an electric pilot light, being really rude.Good he came back because he said he didn't check the new gas line to see if it was leaking because he tools had been stolen. Also, he didn't have a working flashlight. Then he didn't know how to relight furnace pilot light and turned gas off to it. That is another service call for me and I have no heat.
The new faucet doesn't leak. However, the owner was really rude telling me as soon as the faucet was on, I would be charged for time until I could get water back on.This was after I had waited a half hour after he arrived for him to get off the phone and start work. I was upset so my partner called the company and got hung up on. I called with the owner asking me multiple time why I was upset, then interrupting me saying it didn't matter, when I asked him please to listen, I got hung up.

Horrible experience with them. Went through them with my home warranty. Had to cancel an appointment I made due to work and I gave them a big heads up. Then when I rescheduled I was waiting at my house the whole 3 hr period they said they'd be there. I gave them a call near the end of the period and they said ""we were overbooked today so we will have to reschedule"" ....after I wasted my time for the full 3 hrs waiting for them. I proceeded to ask why couldn't I have a courtesy call saying hey we will need to reschedule and the guy literally told me ""hey man you are the one that canceled on us before you shouldn't even talk""...... when I gave them a big heads up on it. I was furious. These guys are so unprofessional and rude I switched to superior plumbing who got the job done within 1 day. When I was waiting over 3 weeks to work with plumber by trade. I'd look elsewhere for your plumbing needs! Slow, unprofessional, and can't get the job done is what you get if you go with this business.

Joe quickly saw the issue with my pilot light and acted as fast as he could within the boundaries of my warranty company. Once he got approval he was here asap to get my hot water going again. All is good!

He was polite, explained everything to me and gave me great advise.

I am not a friend so I posted this out of my own free will. :-)

The only reason Plumber by Trade is in business is because of my home owner warrentee company American Home Shield (AHS). Both companies have very poor service. I had prior service with Plumber by Trade and they would not even clean up after themselves. My 74 year old mother asked them to check another plumbing issue that had to do with why they were called but they wouldn't address it becuase they said it wasn't written on the work order. They were paid a fee by me and AHS and probably claimed they did more than they actually did. The drain actually backed up in the tubs and he would not clear those areas. His customer service representative promises a return call but Nobody calls back. My water heater went out and I called AHS. I got another company but they couldn't come out for the emergency. Of course Plumber by Trade said they could come but didn't show up until the next day. When he saw it was leaking he claimed it would cost for ""modifications"". He did not attempt to stop the leak therefore water came out onto my rug and of course that's not covered. He took three days to even call back to make an appointment to replace the water heater. Calling AHS did not even think it was an emergency not to have running hot water. I had to call another plumber who came and took out the water heater without a fee. AHS would not let me switch plumbers. The only choice they gave me was to cash out. The water heat cost $6 to $700 plus install fees. AHS only would provide $433 plus the $75 I had to pay for them to come out. Plumber by Trade wanted to charge me another $670 for ""modification"" that weren't covered. He wanted to charge me $60 for a $18 pan, $60 for $18 straps and the list goes on. AHS stated the plumber can charge what ever he wants. It's all a rip off. I pay a yearly fee of over $500 plus i have to pay the $75 when ever I have a claim plus they don't cover modifications. So what am I paying for if I pay everything anyway. Home owners I suggest you save up for a major cost becuase these warrentee companies hire the worst companies who you can't trust to do the right thing. They take advange of the consumer who needs them and make it so we have to use there service and they actually cover for them when they don't do the right thing. Do not use AHS or Plumber by Trade you'll be sorry. Most contractors/plumbers in general are not very honest unfortunately they second Plumber wasn't much better and wanted to fix things that weren't broken. They get paid by the hour. I had done most of the work. I bought the water heater, put it in the closet, connected the straps and they still managed to take a long time.

Sent out by my home warranty company I paid service fees ( out twice) and my home warranty company hasn't received fees.
I've now had to pay additional fees to my home warranty company to prevent them from canceling my service!

I called plumber by trade to ask them to come out and give me an estimate on repairing a leak in my front yard. They wanted to charge me $60 just to come out. None of the other three companies I called charged anything for the same service.

I am so very pleased with the service I recieved! The timely manner in which my claim was handled both surprised me and made me very happy. My Home Warranty company sent them to my on a water heater claim and they were quick, efficient and professional. Once my new water heater was installed, they patiently taught me how to light it and adjust the temperature.

I would not hesitate recommend them to all off my friends and family, as I am extremely pleased.

Got this company through my insurance company, told them to take PBT off their list. 2 guys show up lacking any common courtesy at all. fixed a valve said that they could not un clog the toilet because it was solid waste! You don't have a snake I asked? after using a half a roll of toilet paper flushing it down, they said it is working.2 days later my bathroom and hallway is flooded.....they forgot to turn the valve off. I can not believe this guy is in business. He was more than happy to take my money though. Never again.
