Very professional encounter with Rueben, will definitely use him again for any plumbing issues. He was very responsive in our communications and willing to go above and beyond in explaining what needed to be done.
He showed me exactly where and what the problem was, even helped me come up with the most cost effective way to go about fixing the problem. He is personable and trustworthy, I highly recommend!

The gentle was friendly and took care of our leaking shower. Replaced the part for 100$ including labor. They do get busy with home warranties so book in advance

Ruben was assigned to my service claim through First American Warranty... he was not helpful... my toilet tank mechanism needed to be replaced because it was not filling up the tank with water. I had 3 toilets with this problem... he tells if the tanks fills up with water today he would not fix it because it's not covered. I said what?!! I know it is covered under my plan ... but I sensed he didn't want to resolve my problem...
He fixed a loose faucet (1) and I dismissed him.
I wanted to add additional comments on the invoice... and he tells the comments I would be writing on the invoice wouldn't be read by anyone... as if it didn't matter.
What a jerk. I called FAHW and complained about the service. I verified that my problem with my toilets is covered... He tells me it's not that he won't do the work; but it's not covered under my plan. It would cost me $225 per toilet!!!
Don't do business with this company. Poor service.

Extremely rude. Refused to move out of my neighbors parking spot and argued with me about the leak in my garage. Then told me I was disrespectful. Mind boggling...

This review is based off a home warranty standpoint. I too fell into the same pool as the other reviews and laughed at how similar my experience was. First off, communication lacked as you'll be the one reaching out to discuss availability. Upon arrival for initial inspection and estimate, he was professional and allowed a earlier time to meet. Within the first few minutes of inspecting the kitchen sink and garage sink that was backing up, he did not locate a cleanout. We then shined a light into the crawlspace and was able to locate the piping that is connected from garage sink to kitchen. He then saw a cleanout/ plug intermediate of the piping and advised me to tie into it and bring it towards the exterior of the house.
I asked, why couldn't we just go through the P-Trap which is easily accessible through the garage and he laughed and said, its simple. I can only clear a stoppage through a cleanout. After that denial of work, I asked about the other concern regarding my toilet possibly leaking due to pre-existing rust spots. He quickly declined the work and said, sounds like it's not leaking. Uhm, the pipe wouldn't rust if there wasn't any water. So, within 10 minutes, he denied all work as being outside of contract and advised me to extend my cleanout line to exterior of house.
After discussions with my Home Warranty, it's clear this contractor isnt in line with the Home Warranties guarantees. I learned this contactor did not provide satisfactory service. He did not check the perimeter for an existing ground level cleanout. He also made me believe that I had to perform work to my existing piping just so then I can make his job easier. If this contractor is listed for stoppages and under your home warranty, request a different contractor. He will waste your time and be of little help. Fortunately, the work has been reassigned to a different contractor who will do the work needed.

We had an issue with our toilet and contacted our home warranty service to have someone come and take a look at it. Platinum Plumbing was assigned and as I was talking to Ruben and described my problem, he asked me to do a couple things to see if that would fix the issue. Miraculously the first thing he suggested over the phone fixed the issue, and he saved me $75 in the fee that it would have cost me me for him to come out. Thanks again Ruben!

A dishonest operation.
As part of a home warranty service, the plumber came by my home to estimate the cost to snake my clogged washer drain.
He was on-site for less than 5 minutes and told me he couldn't do it because he need to install clean-out before he can do it. But he couldn't quote me a price to get it done until he called the warranty company to confirm.
I was skeptical and ordered an independent plumber to come by same-day for quote. The other plumber was able to snake my drain with no clean-out installed and told me the first plumber was either incompetent or a crook.

Ruben is a fantastic person and an excellent plumber. We had purchased our home last January. It was definitely a ""fixer upper"" which needed plumbing redone badly. Built in '53 and the pipes acted like it. I received quotes from numerous companies, but Ruben was the only one that followed through when he said he would and had reasonable prices. He removed our old water heater, installed an exterior tankless heater AND redid all the sewage pipes under the house in one day! He spent 13-14 hours at my place without a gripe!! I would highly recommend him to anyone, and will definitely use him again to run the main line to the street.
He's clean, honest, on time and doesn't sugar coat the issues you have. He knows his craft and it shows. Thank you Ruben!!!
Don't be fooled by the home warranty reviews, you can't blame a person for the way a warranty company runs their business. It's not like the warranty company is in any hurry to help you out... remember, it's THEIR money they're dishing out. They aren't in any hurry to let it go.

Thank you Ruben for doing an excellent job with regard to your replacement and installation of my water heater, your professionalism, timeliness, and the quality of your work. Like other reviewers I too have a home warranty company. However, my review, responding comments, and interactions with Ruben are based upon both my interactions with him as an individual customer and the usage my home warranty policy. This to say the only difficulties I've experienced were those created by my home warranty company and what I believe to be a misrepresentation of its coverage or application of that coverage which can result in customers' misunderstandings and denials of claims over which Ruben has no control.

Worst customer service. First of all, our situation was marked as an emergency on a Thursday and the home warranty told us that we should get a call from this company to schedule something right away. I took a day off from work thinking they would come around by Friday. They didn't call to schedule until Friday at 6pm and they said the earliest they can come was the following Monday. I said I took a day off because this was an emergency and thought they would reach out right away. I asked to schedule to the following Friday instead.
I scheduled for the following Friday specifying that none of us can come to the house until 1pm. Was told that the window was 12pm-2pm. Yes I confirmed the window, but also specified that we can't get to the house until 1pm. Friday arrives and my wife was able to get to the house at 12:25pm by chance. She waits until 1:15pm and I call the service only to be told that they were there at 12pm and waited 20 minutes (but my neighbor's camera shows them leaving at 12:16pm). So I asked them why didn't at least call to let us know. Most people will let you know that they are on their way or near the place or are at the location. He rudely answers, ""why would we?"". This was where I lost it, but after reading the reviews, it looks like the rudeness is nothing new.
I won't be surprised if we get charged for the travel time. Gets paid for being rude and for doing nothing. Must be nice.
