Reuben was SO helpful and accommodating. After battling for 2 months with another company I finally called Platinum Plumbing and they came out the very next day to replace my garbage disposal. I would definitely use them again!

I would give this company 0 stars if thats possible. I was assigned this company thru my home warranty. They didnt call me for a week since they were assigned. Finally an appointment was set. The technician came in, gave me a diagnostics of the problem.
Said that he will go back and write a report and it will be covered by the warranty but i might not get it in the same finish (bronze) that i have right now.
The guy then went and wrote in the report that the stuff was broken by force and quoted a high number for it to be fixed. The warranty company is now refusing to fix it.
There was absolutely no discussion on how/why etc and all I was told was that it will be fixed. I would have appreciated some honesty upfront.
I see that many people have had similar issues with this company when it was assigned thru home warranty and I guess they just dont care about it or want to deal with it.

This is the most unprofessional company I've ever dealt with! They set up an appointment for 10-12. Show up at 9:30 without calling ahead to see if we were available and then leaves! Wife calls him and he acts like it's her fault!
I call leave a message and ask for a call back, I get nothing! The water is just running costing me a fortune! Finally calls my wife at 8pm on Monday night to say he's available on Tuesday! Business hours are from 9-5!
Ruben gets to the house and has no remorse about not calling to tell us he was coming early on Friday. I voice my displeasure the fact that my water bill is going up. Ruben basically says that's not his problem! Terrible customer service and refused to take responsibility for his actions. Don't patronize this company!

Just had a good experience. Our water heater burst and our insurance company sent them out. They were on time when they said they would be here and were efficient. Customer service was good, he took the time to explain the work he needed to do. Even took some money off for donating a unwrapped toy. I Will use there service again if needed.

4 weeks without hot water with 3 kids including a baby is miserable. Ruben is the most reliable and conscientious plumber I've ever met. Had a water heater/home warranty/manufacturer warranty nightmare that lasted 6 weeks before finally coming to resolution yesterday thanks to Ruben. We had a total of 4 plumbing companies involved over the course of the 6 weeks and everyone of them except for Ruben were unresponsive, unreliable and generally unprofessional and inept when it came to plumbing, problem solving, customer service, communication and courtesy. Ruben called repeatedly to get scheduled, gave me the time to explain the situation and arrived with an attitude that he would get it done and stick around to ensure that his work was proper. Last night he called to check if everything was still good and again this morning just to make sure. He's now on speed dial and will be the only plumber I consider for any future work. Thank you Ruben!

I was assigned to Platinum Plumbing by the home warranty company, we had an issue with water heater.

The contractor did come in the scheduled window but I had a hard time communicating with him, his tone was rude and dismissive throughout. As a mother of 2 young kids, I always keep the water temperature at or below 120F to avoid accidental burning. All the water heaters have a warning about this but looks like this plumber had never read that. When I mentioned to him that the doctors suggest that the temperature should not be more than 120F (thinking that mentioning a Doctor might add credibility and help him listen to me) - he rudely asked if I wanted to listen to the doctor or the plumber. When I explained to him that temperature's above 120F can cause burning, he said that if my kids burn their hand then I am not doing my job as a mom! It is because I am doing my job as a mom that I do not want a temperature higher than 120F!!
When I decided to call my husband to tell him what was going on, the contractor immediately said that he will not talk to him because that will put him behind in schedule and I am disrespecting his time. I wasn't even planning to make him talk to my husband but was rather going to talk myself.

Zero customer service, the contractor just wants to give his opinion and have you agree with him and leave. Throughout the visit his attitude was that I don't know what I am talking about and I am too stupid to have a discussion about the issue. Never use this service.

Made confirmed appointment on July 1 for July 19 to assure availability under home warranty contract to provide adequate lead time given scheduled out of town travel from Bay Area. On July 18 they call me while traveling to cancel the long standing appointment without apology or accommodation. Luckily American Home warranty found another provider. Platinum it ain't! Totally incompetent outfit. Avoid and get another plumbing contractor.

We had scheduled a visit from Platinum Plumbing for Thursday btwn 12-2. They called us to reschedule asking if we could have the visit Friday at the same time. Thursday around 10am Rubin from Platinum Plumbing shows up for less than 10 minutes. I had a hard time communicating with him, his tone was rude and dismissive throughout.

AHS let us know prior to his visit that we could take an estimate from the plumber and potentially get a cash out if we didn't want to go with their services. Rubin refused to give me an estimate, saying that if he went down there and could repair it, he would, and that his company doesn't give estimates. It's clear he thinks he reports only to AHS and not to us, the customers.

He diagnosed one issue in our kitchen and then went to the second issue we had with our shower. He refused to diagnose the shower problem, blaming the fact that he didn't have a suit to go into our crawlspace on us for not warning the company about the need for it, multiple times. (Really? I have to warn a plumber to have the proper plumbing equipment AND wardrobe?) He said that the problem I told him we were having didn't make sense. I tried to get my husband on the phone so that he could better explain, since we were not understanding each other. He refused to speak to him, saying he doesn't do 3-way communication and that my husband would have 15 questions which would put him behind in his schedule. Never mind that he wasn't scheduled today.

I am appalled that a vendor thinks he doesn't have to answer a customer's questions. His very presence in my house was due to my grace in welcoming him when he was not scheduled, and in not kicking him out despite his rude tone, attitude and behavior. The fact that he thinks he has our business is laughable. As a customer I am not beholden to a shoddy service provider despite a home warranty. People: you have choices and you don't have to choose this terrible company.

Btw when I asked Rubin how to spell his name, he didn't respond so I guessed/spelled it out for him. He agreed to the spelling of Rubin but from reading these other reviews and the fact that he pretended to be someone else to another customer it's clear to me that I don't have the right spelling. Seems a little crazy to me but I guess the dishonesty runs deep.

(I wrote this the day of the visit, but am posting it two weeks later. Still angry.)
