Lanni S.I did not have a good experience with this company. He was assigned to our house from our home warranty company. Our kitchen sink would not drain and he was assigned to snake it. He came to our house and was here maybe 5 minutes. He literally did absolutely nothing and said he could not pull off the pipe to snake the drain. Then gave the home warranty a different story. He did not want to do the job and knew a way to get around it while still receiving his payment from the warranty company. I would NOT use this service for any plumbing issues you have.

First time ever that I used American Home Shield warranty to call for a plumber. I signed up online and reported that there were TWO issues I wanted checked out. Paid the amount they asked. They assigned Platinum Plumbing. The guy calls me after a week and I tell him about the leak under kitchen sink and a potential leak concern in bathroom.
Plumber comes home, works on kitchen sink for two min, walks out the main door and starts filling paperwork. I ask what happened. Says he is done. He never thinks of explaining what he did until I ask him questions. Then comes the worst part. I tell him to take a look at the bathroom. He immediately complains that I reported only one issue even though my service order listed TWO and I had talked to him two days before on the phone explaining both concerns.
He reluctantly comes to the bathroom and says that what I hear is not a leak. I ask him to peek under the sink just to make sure. He refuses and complains again saying I am giving him a third task. He left immediately after that.
I will never use this plumber ever again. And I have a dim view of American Home Shield after this experience. I am seriously considering canceling my contract. Better to pay a professional who can explain what they are doing and who values customer service.
Ruben was assigned to my service claim of a leaking gate valve to my dishwasher. He took a pic, collected $75.00 and disappeared. The valve still leaks. I have since been advised that a leaking gate valve should be covered. One of the repairman wrapped some tape around it as a temporary fix. Neither First American nor Ruben are anywhere to be found. I wish I could post lower than one star.
Reading the low star reviews is puzzling as these guys were amazing. I assume the low stars are likely due to the poor service of the home warranty company; not the plumber. Home warranty companies can be difficult and stress inducing to work with.
He arrived exactly on time, spent the time necessary to evaluate the issue and preformed the repair perfectly. We call them as the first two plumbers wanted us to install additional pumps or replace our water heater completely - both would have cost hundreds of dollars. These guys saved us a ton of time, money and inconvenience.
Platinum Plumbing was easy to work with, responsive, professional and will be our first call in the future.
Lauren W.Was assigned Platinum Plumbing by our home warranty Fidelity...why they still use this company is beyond me. Bad customer service from the start: first they did not call when they said they would so I had to initiate contact. When we finally connected, Ruben was not the friendliest nor professional. Made an appointment for Sunday between 1-3. Two of us stayed home all day with our phones glued to us to ensure we did not miss them. Apparently he came and knocked but says no one answered but yet asked if we had a dog and a stick in our sliding door because he saw someone walking a dog 15 minutes later. We never heard the doorbell nor got a call. He says he knocked only. When I asked if he had tried calling, he said ""well you had an appointment so why should I call?"" Checking back on my Ring video, he came prior to the appointment window frame...even more reason to call to say he was here instead of just leaving. Bottom line, there was a lot of blaming me, the customer and rudeness, especially in his tone of voice. Definitely Do Not Recommend!!!
Raghavan S.Platinum Plumbing was assigned to fix the low water flow at the bath tub after 2 plumbing companies were not able to fix the issue by the home warranty company. Ruben came and patiently diagnosed the issue and fixed it nicely. He was very friendly and professional. I would strongly recommend Platinum Plumbing to anyone without hesitation. Great guy, jovial yet very professional and top quality service.
Ryan F.You would be hard pressed to find as unprofessional a plumber as Ruben. Fidelity sent this guy over to our place to fix a jammed-shut kitchen sink and bathroom issue. The first thing this guy does after arriving is complain why we'd turn on the water and let the sink fill up with a few inches of standing water if we knew the sink was stuck. What? Isn't that a result of a stuck sink?! Isn't that why you've been called?! Doofus. Then when he goes to snake the sink and realizes it's stuck further down, he says the HOA is supposed to cover past the trap. Really? You know the rules of this particular HOA now too? He isn't correct for this complex, the home owner is responsible down to the common line, not just the trap. Overall, Ruben spent most of his time arguing with my wife and being incredibly rude. Was too cowardly to speak to me over the phone.
When Fidelity said they were sending out this guy, I was already concerned after pulling up his Yelp reviews, but Fidelity assured me he would be good. NOPE! Turns out the Yelp reviews are spot on. The guy is rude, condescending, argues, and overall doesn't know what he is doing (but thinks he does -- the worst type of person). You would be literally out of your mind to let this guy into your home. Afterwards, my wife and her brother said they would not ever let this guy in the home again. This guy really needs to work with a professional on making some important personality adjustments. I can't understand how he maintains a job/business.
Kat T.Do not use this plumber. Came out to check on a leak and said he needed to use a camera to figure out the issue. It was almost immediately approved by our home warranty but I have not been able to get ahold of Rueben for almost two weeks. Terrible customer service. We have an unusable bathroom and he won't even answer his phone! Ridiculous.
Dejauna J.Horrible Service, Horrible human being. Only Cares about money and not service. Disgruntled about home warranty service request. Complained Home warranty companies don't pay him enough to check if his work solved the issue. That I should have called him directly then he would care.
Put in a service request for my dishwasher through our home warranty (Fidelity). PP&S were put on the job. Their guy came out and botched the job and now my dishwasher leaks. I called PP&S to give them a chance to fix the problem they made - they refused, saying that it's been too long, and just told me to call Fidelity again.
Also, Fidelity sucks, as well. They contract with the absolute worst trades-people that probably can't find work any other way.
