Probably one of the most unprofessional people I have ever encountered! After I called on two separate occasions and left a message both times, I finally received a call back a few days later. He seemed to be bothered by me when I was asked him questions just to get a feel of his work ability I decided to use him based on previous yelp reviews. He arrived approximately 20 minutes late with no call or apology once he did arrive. I thought ""wow, he clearly doesn't value people's time"", I showed him to the bathroom where the leak was located and as he was walking to the restroom he made an off handed comment about my husband not being able to fix the leak which I thought was rude. He seemed to find the leak relatively quickly and fixed it within an hour but he tried charging me for a 2 hour work period which I did not appreciate. He may want to think about how he treats customers and realize what he says and does as a professional matters. I would not recommend his services

Look no further for a competent, efficient, hard-working professional plumber. Steve isolated and repaired a serious gas leak in my home in two hours by meticulously checking all gas appliances, pressure-testing the main line, making a trip to the attic, finding a corroded pipe with a hole in it, and then making a quick trip to a plumbing store for materials to run a whole new line down my wall, and also replacing the connection where the dryer and water heater attach. Mind you my family (including four-month-old baby) had spent four days without heat, hot water, or a stove in the middle of winter because the first company I called when PGE shut off the gas when they detected a leak couldn't find the problem, and told me to call a gas-leak detection company, none of whom ever called me back. I will never ever let another plumbing company set foot in my house again other than Pires Plumbing.

Ended up having to do a partial bathroom remodel because of leaky pipes behind my shower wall. I was dreading it, but a friend recommend starting with Steve. This guy showed up when he said he was going to in order to give me an estimate, even though he was squeezing it in before going to another job. At the estimate appt we discovered how big the job was going to be and he was concerned about getting it done ASAP for me since it's a one bathroom home. Again, he arrived on time on demo day. I am grateful and impressed as it's been my experience that sometimes things get crazy with contractors and scheduling and trying to get it all in. This guy runs his schedule well and is respectful of his clients' tIme. Also, great communication throughout the scheduling and job completion and even a question I had a couple weeks after the job was done. It took less time to do the job than I thought and he didn't leave a big mess behind for me to clean up. Even my dog like him and the new bathtub looks great! Highly recommend!

Highly recommend Pires Plumbing. I called Steve at 8am, sent pics and a video to him. He was at my house by 8:30am to confirm his initial diagnosis of a broken water heater. He provided excellent communication since I was at work while they replaced my water heater. His price was $300 below 2 other local well know plumbers. He had my new water heater installed and old one taken away within hours. Thank you soo much Steve and your awesome team!

Yeah, Steve is excellent, you can't go wrong calling him! Very reliable and reasonable, and great to work with. He installed a new faucet and all new drain pipes for a new sink, all for a very reasonable price. (About 30% of what a large competing company wanted to charge.) Then last night we developed a clog (unrelated) so I called and Steve came by this morning and quickly fixed it, again for a very reasonable price. He's great!

Just worked with Steve and couldn't be happier. I called literally an hour ago and he was in the area so he came by within 15 minutes. My kitchen sink and washer were backed up and it turns out I had to have a pipe snaked (not sure if my terminology is correct). Anyway 45 minutes later problem solved and Steve was a pleasure to work with and very reasonable cost. I will definitely come back and refer my friends/family that need a plumber. Thanks Steve!

Called several plumbers to fix a gas leak. Steve and his associate were the first to come out to look at it. They fixed the leak quickly and were awesome. Jackhammered a pipe out of cement and replaced it and made it look easy. Price was reasonable. I will definitely be calling them next time I need a plumber.

My 92 year old Mother who lives in Sun City Roseville had a problem with a toilet that kept backing up. When my husband and I came for a visit, she told us about the situation. She had another plumber in 3 times to fix the problem. As he didn't resolve the problem, we decided to try Pires Plumbing. Steve Pires called us back very promptly after my husband called him. Steve came within an 1 1/2 hours!! Steve asked a lot of good questions. He explained in detail what he was going to do before he did it and answered our questions. After he was done, he explained what he learned and what my Mother needed to do going forward to prevent a recurrence of the problem. His rates are very reasonable. My Mother, husband and I all had the same sense of Steve: that he's experienced, honest, clear in his communications and great to work with. We highly recommend him.

It started with Steve promptly returning my call and said he was completing a job and would call back shortly to answer questions. He returned the call and put me at ease by answering my questions, sized up the job and gave me two windows of time that he was available to do the work.

He showed up just when he said he would, confirmed the work to be done and quickly got started. Steve was quick, neat and complete. I now have a happy wife with four new shout off valves and two new bedroom fixtures that do not leak. Thank you, Steve.
