DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Home Warranty of America set these folks to come out to fix my water heater. The tech came out and we talked about the need for my control panel to be replaced because the knob was broken. He said that he would get the part on Monday and come replace it.

In spite of me requesting that they bring a control panel with them on Friday, they didn't and we were without hot water all weekend.

I called Monday and they let me know that they submitted it to the HWA for a full water heater replacement and the company denied it, so it was on hold.

Now I'm having to go back to HWA and find a new plumber. Still without hot water. This company is bad business. DO NOT USE THEM!

They were out a little over a week ago. I went through a Home Warranty company. First let me start by saying they are very difficult to get a hold of. Very rarely do they answer their phone.

The first problem occurred when they came out and could not find a clean out for my main sewer line. They said they would have to charge me an additional $275 for pulling a toilet and replacing it. I looked at my warranty and it said I was covered. He said it did not cover it in this scenario. It need to be unplugged so I forked over the $275. The next day my Home Warranty company sent an email for me to review how everything went. I complained about having to pay the additional $275 out of pocket. Well guess what? The Warranty Company contacted me and told me that the toilet removal and replacement were supposed to be included in the repair and that they would send me a check for $275. The guy who came out to do the work said they guarantee it for 30 days and to just call them direct to get it taken care of.

Now today, 10 days later it is backing up again. Apparently the guy doing the work did a half assed job. I called them to have them come back and now all of a sudden the guy who came out said he never told me that about the 30 day warranty. Then Joe had the nerve to tell me they can come back out for $125 to diagnose the problem. Then they would tell me how much more it would be to fix the problem. Why didn't they diagnose it the first time and make sure they did a good job? Probably because they didn't have to.

Now my warranty company won't take care of it either saying they only snake the sewer line 1 time a year.

Whatever you do.... DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING!!!!

Avoid this company at all costs! Why can't we give zero stars on yelp yet? Pipe Doctor 247 was previously listed as Beck Plumbing (which shows permanently closed). Owner Josh Beck and 'manager', so she claimed, Kelly Mayer are two of the most unprofessional and disrespectful contractors I have ever come across. Nothing but rude and obscene comments from the two of them. Kelly was condescending. She called demanding prepayment today. When I said no, she said the appt would be cancelled. She said to pay via PayPal, so I ended up doing it to keep the appt and Josh called us back saying he would not accept PayPal Goods and Services (only PayPal Friends and Family - which offers zero protection to buyers, but does not charge a fee to companies). PayPal Goods and Services charges a fee for buyers protection that is charged to the seller as well as any credit card fees. He said too many people dispute/get refunds via Goods and Services after his jobs are done and he'd be out the money. He said military all over San Antonio were doing this to him. Not my problem? Who prepays for contractor work with no guarantee? He said he'd refund the PayPal payment when he got around to it and hung up on us. Kelly & Josh, you are not friends or family, you are a business. Why would I transfer my money to you without protection?

However, the tech we had come to our house - Travis - was great. He was knowledgeable, thorough, and a Navy veteran! I hope Josh and Kelly treat their employees better than they treat their customers.

We had no choice, our home warranty company assigned Pipe Doctor 247 to us. After today's fiasco with both Kelly and Josh, I called the home warranty company and demanded a new contractor; we're done with Pipe Doctor 247. Don't ever use them. Terrible, shady, unprofessional, and disrespectful. I don't know how they get away with it. It probably won't be too long before they have to change company names again based on these 1 star reviews.

If I can put a minus star i will!!
completely rude and horrible customer service , Duran came to my house to check a sound and he didn't know what he was doing , first said it was something and after we ask a couple questions he change his conclusion then we ask id there was another way to make sure before making holes in the wall and he just left the house saying he didn't have time for this, and Slam my own door.
then we call de company to speak with a manager about what just happen and some guy Josh or john star talking over us with actitud very defensive and just HoRRIBLE customer service.
we just don't know what happened don't understand , but know reading the other reviews i see now. definitely don't use them.

My home warranty company recommended Pipe Doctor 247 but I am disappointed with the company. The plumber jumped to conclusions prematurely and was quick to recommend repairs that he estimated at $1750 to $2200 to fix which another plumber did for under $200. That's right- ten times higher than what it should have cost! He recommended running a new pipe around the house and through some walls but the other plumber was able to clear the blockage and verified the pipes were now in great condition.

When I asked Pipe Doctor 247 why they wouldn't go through the crawl space he said that no one could fit under the house. I knew this was not true because I have had a plumber and my home inspector go under there in the past. He claimed that the pipe could not be cleared, but he did not seem to even try. The other plumber cleared the blockage in no time at all.

This plumber seemed quick to jump to conclusions based on incomplete information and recommended the most expensive option rather than the best option.

Called warranty company to take care of leak in front yard. Two clowns from this company show up and immediately you can tell they're not interested in doing the job because its going to require digging or something. Make up some lame excuse about my toilet running and tell me they're going to come back later. They never listened to anything I had to say. Huge mud bog in front of my house from leaky pipe and these morons "can't" see it. They're either stupid or lazy. Why the hell call yourself a plumber if you're not willing to dig. All they want is toilet and faucet repair and charge a bunch of money for it. Stuff any home owner can do by themselves. I call them back a couple of days later and they tell me to call the warranty company because that's what the warranty company said. BS. Warranty company sending another company to take a look at it. Techs, Blair and Zack in the Austin area. Don't use this company and if the warranty company sets you up with them refuse. Nothing will get done. I would give them a negative review if it was possible . -5 stars. They suck. PipeDoctor247

Too bad there can't be zero or negative stars because giving them 1 is way too generous.

Landmark Home Warranty says they don't go off of reviews posted online before referring a company. I only wish they cared more who they send into their clients homes. The verbal abuse I suffered at the hands of PipeDoctor24-7's owner today was not only unjust, but was unwarranted as well.

11/29/19 Landmark sent PipeDoctor24-7 into my home. Diagnosis - hot water heater needed to be replaced. 12/2/19 we receive an email from Landmark approving a replacement as well as labor and second man labor. But..."there are some items required for the replacement that are not included in the warranty coverage, which you will need to pay directly to the contractor. Those items and their costs are listed below." I am putting in parentheses what those items actually cost if I was to purchase them at Home Depot or Lowe's. I am by no means a novice, I am a female do-it-yourselfer who actually enjoys shopping at Home Depot and Lowe's more than any department store; so the pricing jumped out at me immediately.

Out-of-pocket costs:
drain pan - $110 ($20, but I already have one in place)
t & p - $90 ($5.96 to $10)
water line - $149 (2 for $20 but I found a kit including gas line for $35)
venting - $90 (venting is already in place and in great condition)
gas line - $90 (less than $20)
vacuum breaker - $65 ($14)
expansion tank - $195 ($30)
Their price quote $789 (actual cost at Home Depot $94)

This is over a 700% mark up on parts, some completely unnecessary, but they won't approve installation unless I agree to all, at their cost.
After several email exchanges and no help from Landmark, and after leaving messages with no returns from PipeDoctor, I finally get hold of Joe today, 12/6/19 who eventually transfers me to Natalie. I offer to purchase the items myself in order to proceed forward, Natalie states that it is their "policy" to only use parts they purchase...because we all know that there is a huge difference in the above plumbing parts. Actually, I think she used the term "authentic plumbing parts". (Apparently Natalie thinks I would search for sub par parts to put into my home because we would all love to be awaken with a flood of water gushing from our attic because of those pirated parts). I even offer to show receipts from a plumbing supply house, but that gets denied as well and she offers to have a manager call me.

Approximately half hour later I receive a call from the owner himself, Josh Beck. The man is the rudest person I have ever spoken to. He tells me that Landmark sets the price, I correct him that Landmark said he does, and this goes back and forth. What he doesn't know is that both Joe and Natalie have already told me that Josh sets the parts price. He then screams to me that it really isn't that big of a mark up and that he has overhead such as insurance, vehicles, payroll, inventory. I even offer to compromise on the mark up, or to purchase of my own parts. I have to admit the conversation became very unprofessional and downright ugly. It ended when he hung up the phone on me, but not before he told me if I left any bad reviews of his company that he would sue me for defamation. What respectable business does this? Not only is he rude, and his yelling didn't work on me, now he resorts to bullying and threatening as well.

Landmark has been notified that I do not want any representative of this company in my home for fear of harm to myself, my family, or my property. Yes it got that ugly. Joe, I am not defaming you, I am merely writing a review of my true experience with you and your company. If there is any negativity, it falls on your behavior and your attempt to commit a fraudulent scheme.

My advice to people who are considering using PipeDoctor...educate yourself on pricing. Go line by line, item by item and research. To charge a customer parts for installation more than the unit itself is ridiculous and should be the first red flag. After reading other reviews of this company online I consider myself lucky that this is as far as my contact has been. I feel sorry for those whose homes suffered damage due to their negligence. As for Landmark Home Warranty...the jury is still out.

Scummy. Used them only because of Home Warranty of America. I paid for an upgraded service that will replace with a tankless water heater. When I told the tech he got bothered and told me tankless heaters were a problem and you had to change the electricity supply. No problem, I said. He then sent a report in that said my heater, in a room attached by the roof and with a common attic (all the electricity for the house goes through this space), was in a guest house and not covered. Just because this "plumber" doesn't know how to put in a tankless heater. Now, 7 weeks later, I'm still fighting with the home warranty company. There's no way this wasn't intentional because I had the upgraded coverage for a tankless heater and he couldn't easily throw in another tank. I called him to have it changed to THE TRUTH, but no response. Don't use them. But then again, look at the reviews and you can see what's going on.

We have a hot water heater problem. It is a electric model.

They were dispatched by "Home Warranty of America". The person showed up, saw that the circuit breaker was tripped. Reset the circuit breaker and left. Didn't wait long enough to see if they problem was fixed. Tried to blame it on sediment and wanted up sell to a flashing maintenance service.

We tried to call them back to fix it. Never returned our call. The warranty company was unhelpful as well.

Stay clear of both.

Wow! I had to go to this company because of my insurance. A really old lady came and told me that since my toilets were flushing, there wasn't a "mechanical failure ". So apparently to PipeDoctor, the water coming out from underneath the toilet was normal? Don't use them at all!
