I went through my Warranty company to get exterior plumbing problem fixed. It has been 29 days and I still have no water to my home. I have called PipeDoctor 247 and HWA every day to get a status update and ensure that the tech turned in his paperwork to get the case moving and was responding to the warranty company's questions. At this point the warranty company denied my claim because they can't come to an agreement with PipeDoctor on the best way to fix the issue so that it is covered under the warranty. NOBODY at HWA or PipeDoctor took initiative with this claim and cared anything about my concerns. Nobody was my advocate. The tech that came to my home and everyone answering the phones at PipeDoctor were "put out" by any questions I had about the issue. They were all doing me a favor by interacting with me as if I should just be happy they answer the phones or come by to assess the situation at all. I just needed to sit and wait on the process and they would be calling me once they were ready. I NEVER got a call from either company, unless it was initiated by me. I will be taking legal action against my Warranty company and would definitely not recommend PipeDoctor 247 to anyone. btw.. 247 stands for 24 hours a day 7 days a week but they only answer the phone (sometimes) between 8-4 on mon-fri and out of 4 voice messages and 3 text messages I sent, I received responses twice...and only because those were the two nastiest messages I left them.

Avoid them
I had such a bad experience with them , they came as a contractor from my warranty company to change water heater. They are so unprofessional and rude.
First they gave appointment for monday and then moved to wed and then friday from 1 to 5 but never came or got a courtsey call that they will be late.
I called and they said he is stuck at another job and will come when he is done.
Then called and gave me another appointment for next week tues and asked me to venmo the money without even doing the job. I said first complete the work and then we will check and pay. They said if i dont venmo i have to py cash as soon as technician arrives as i had no choice coa we were going through warranty compnay , we had to let then come and when technician came, he was so rude to talk and i asked him about permit for the water heater , he said i dont know, they have no idea what they are doing, they are so rude and unprofessional, if i could give them negative rating, i would and would ask everyone to avoid them if you can.
Work with contractor who care and are professional.

If I could select a negative star review I would. This was my warranty company's selected provider for a water heater malfunctioning call. Pipe Doctors required $75.00 CASH (they sent that in all caps) for the service fee call when they arrive or they will not start the service. When the technician, who told me lots of stories about Detroit and needs there, arrived in Austin, TX, he determined that the water heater needed to be replaced. They told me to contact my warranty company about timeline, knowing full well that they do not supply water heaters for warranty work! They only supply water heaters for cash and non-warranty work! Just awful!

Only wish there was a way to leave a -1 rating! Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Arrogant, obnoxious and rude. Yes, that appears to be their entire customer service rep job qualification requirements and they all pass that test! I asked to speak to a supervisor with First American Home Warranty (the warranty company contracting this awful plumbing outfit) and finally got to one (I think). When she could not resolve the problem with their contractor (PipeDoctor247) I asked to speak to her boss. She said she doesn't have one. OMG!! I must have been speaking to the CEO/President/Owner of First American Home Warranty! I had no idea!! My apologies!

All I can say is this. If your home warranty company tries to assign your work order to PipeDoctor247...RUN AWAY!! Better yet, seek a better home warranty company. I have...after 15 yrs. of putting up with their crap.

Had to use this company through my home warranty, however they were unable to even do their job! They told me my hot water heater needed a part and that they "couldn't find it" so they would put in a request for a whole new unit. After 3 business days that never happened and our warranty switched us to another plumber, who had multiples of the original part sitting in their warehouse ready to go!
PipeDoctor LIED to me 3 times! Told me the part was ordered (it wasn't), told me they sent the order for the new unit to the warranty company (they didn't) and told me they were waiting for the warranty company to approve it (when the warranty company was waiting for them to even send the order). If your warranty company dispatches them immediately ask for a new company!

Same as some others, I had an issue that needed almost immediate attention. We had a water heater that was leaking in the attic and called our home warranty company. They called this company because it was a Saturday and they were listed as Pipe Doctor 24/7. This is even how they answer the phone. Turns out they're only open from about 8:00am to 4:00pm Monday through Friday so the 24/7 part is a complete joke and just a way to get more business. My bank is open more than this company so if you need something urgent, don't call them. Once they sent the information to our warranty company I found out they wanted to charge us $225 to lay some stuff down on my carpet so they don't ruin my carpet. I mean, I have a tarp that cost me $8 at Ross. $225? Anyhow, if I could give them lower than one star I absolutely would. I ended up going with Gavit Plumbing. They were 100% professional, didn't gouge me and treated my issue with more of a sense of urgency.

These guys work off home warranties scamming both the customer and the warranty company themselves. Their business model is simple:
1) Get called out to a job, take the $75 deductible (cash only!).
2) Fabricated a work load to be done, the larger the better.

1) gets them 75$ for 10 minutes work, regardless. And if 2) comes in, they've a huge pay-out. If 2) decline, no biggy, they just drove to someone's house and took the cash.

There are no winners here, aside from them, but hopefully only until the warranty companies become wise to it. The warranty company loses out anytime 2) happens, and the consumer loses out if it is just 1); a sincere repair request is declined because it was so marked up that it no longer appears as wear and tear to the warranty company.

What an ugly way to make a living. BTW 1) happened to us. A leaking faucet was specified as a full replacement and they also wanted to replace all the below sink piping and shut-off valves. She said "electrolysis". And I'm not joking.

If I could rate this "plumbing" company a -10 I would! They did a terrible job repairing a simple pvc pipe connected to my outdoor spigot. A 3 year old could have fixed it properly, instead this company after two months of me trying to contact them said their repair was by "code". I wonder what "code" they are talking about when they ruined my outdoor pvc connections and left my spigot pointing to the sky! Yes, they did not place the water spigot horizontally (proper direction), instead they left it pointing to the sky! Stay away from this company unless you want to waste $500 for something completely unacceptable! The technician said he did not have the right parts - why did he even start in the first place! He should have waiting until he had the "right" parts. Unbelievable!

Heading to small claims for sure!

I could not upload pics but man, completely unacceptable!

Did not fix issue and really BAD SERVICE EXPERIENCE (Did not fix issue); despite of charging cash trip fees before looking at the issue; neither fixed the issue and send a wrong diagnosis to the Warranty company so they can change additional $400-500 (on top of the $75 cash paid to them) directly to me for fixing small shut-off valves (these shut-off valves for toilet flush do not cost much).

Person who came to our house was SO rude! Acted like he had better things to do than his job. Was short with my husband and me and he kept ignoring our questions so we had to ask him multiple times.

Will not be using this company EVER again. Adjust your attitude guys!
