Matt R.My home warranty initially sent a plumber here to clear a drain. He said my lines needed to be hydro jetted(false) at which point they sent pipe doctor 24/7. After about 4 minutes of trying to get his snake through the drain to no avail the technician said there was a blockage and I needed to install a 375-dollar clean out which was not covered by the home warranty. When I asked if this was a guaranteed fix ,they said no. Fortunately the home warranty allowed me to get another plumber that quickly diagnosed a clog further down the line, snaked the drain and it is now perfect. Easy fix. I can only imagine the poor people who fall for these tactics and continually pay exorbitant fees to crooked technicians for unnecessary work. Just imagine what would happen after the clean out didn't work. Replumb the entire house?

The home warranty company sent these guys out Tuesday last week to fix a leaky faucet. I get a message today a week later saying that the retaining nut and cartridge need replacement. No problem there, but it did take them a week to get back to me, during which time we were unable to use the main kitchen sink. Then they quoted $535 to come back and replace it. Outrageous I thought. Will not be using these people again.
For the love of God and everything good in the world, STAY AWAY FROM PIPE DOCTOR 24/7. Worst plumbing company I've experienced by a landslide. Companies like this will not last. I'm surprised they are still in business after looking at all these reviews.
If someone named Blair is your technician, congratulations, you've been gifted with the LAZIEST and LEAST KNOWLEDGEABLE technician to troubleshoot your plumbing issues. He came to my house, looked at two toilets (though his report falsely says he looked at three), said the toilets were fine, and recommended an advanced water leak detection test that cost $450. When I asked what the advanced leak detection test consisted of, I was told nonsense.
I had another plumbing company come out to check out the issue, and they were able to find the issue in less than 10 minutes, and told me the parts would cost $40...
Needless to say, I'm never using Plumbing Doctor 247 again. Shame on all the home warranty companies (especially Landmark) that still have them listed as a contractor despite the plethora of bad reviews they've received.
Ive never had a company that I was using to have work done be so inconsiderat to the needs of the paying customer. First contact i was told a tech would be at my residents between 8am - 5pm REALLY!!? So you expect me to be at your beck and call when im paying you..??? Thats a joke! Schedule your techs better and utilize your techs in away that you should be able to give your customer a 2-3 hour time frame not a 8-9 time frame.. My first dealing with this company sucked!! This is starting our just like last visit which they failed to fix problem..
JOE P.We didn't have an experience with the plumbing. However my girlfriend had an experience with an AWFUL AGRESSIVE DRIVER. He was riding her tail on hwy 35 in San Marcos at 80 mph. He didn't like her speed, so he went into the left lane and passed her. He was towing a trailer with his F-150, and cut in front of her and hit her L/F tire and wheel causing her to move around while driving fast. It scared her, he was trying to run. She chased him down and took video's of him. Cops were called and this prick DID NOT get a ticket from San Marcos PD. Although his company is responsible for the damages.
What I'm trying to say, the company hires RUDE employees that don't care about your safety or you AT ALL.
So call someone ELSE.....
**Home Warranty Scam**
Was sent by my home Warranty company to diagnose a leak in my kitchen cabinets. Long story short, we were told our leak was from the outside and therefore not covered by our Warranty, how convenient. The repair would involve drilling into the side of the house from the outside (through the brick) and the drilling alone would cost $4500. He said he can't tell us what the problem really is, how to fix it, or what it would cost until they drilled through and got in there to look. Apparently he thought I was dumb, I paid him his $75 fee and sent him on his way. I then called a real plumber to take a look and we all had a good laugh about the Pipe Doctor's attempt to F me over . Repair was quick, easy, and nothing but a small hole was cut into the sheet rock. Warranty refused to cover it although it met their criteria because they only accept Repair bids from their contracted plumbers. Such BS... total scam!! Could you imagine if I actually let these incompetent people actually drill a hole into the side of my house??!! LMAO!!
chris v.Called way earlier than the appointment and never showed up. Tried to call their office and cell 5 times. Now we have to book someone new after waiting for 2 days for this appointment. All the other one-star reviews seem on point, stay away.
Bonnie D.Another bad review for this company sent to me by Landmark Home Warranty. They came out to fix a water heater leak and said my unit needs to be replaced.
Well the plumber left my water heater off and I'm not sure what they did but we can't restart the pilot light. He also didn't tell us he had turned the unit off and left it that way. We can't figure out how to restart it.
So now, I've got a newborn and family here who quarantined to spend thanksgiving with us and we've got no hot water for people to shower, run the dishwasher, etc. And due to covid, it's not exactly easy to go run to a neighbor to shower.
Now that I've read these horrible reviews, I'm really nervous about having this company do the water heater replacement as well.
Very disappointed in this company already and hope the rest of my repair is more successful but based on the reviews I'm seeing here, I'm not feeling great.
Will update after the replacement is complete.
