They flooded our house with sewage by running a hydrojet from a roof access too close to a standing laundry pipe and the workers denied responsibility.

The supervisor stayed out in the front yard chain-smoking cigarettes. He never came inside to inspect the damage.

The workers had an attitude about the condition of our kitchen, implying it was messy to begin with. Our plumbing had backed up on a holiday. We couldn't clean any dishes or put things away in our small kitchen. We had to leave things on the floor. Of course it was messy.

Note that the plumbing backed up AFTER the same company had come out and snaked the line a week or so before.

The owner refused to talk to us on the phone or to offer a time to come out that was convenient for us. He also told his representative not to tell us who he was bringing with him, implying he would bring out people who would contradict our story.

When we explained we would need to know who was coming before we would let them around our family, especially if they might try to intimidate us, and that we had dogs we would need to arrange to get out of the way, the representative said the owner refused to come out after all, and that we could file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, which we did.

The company has since ignored the BBB.

We cannot recommend this company based on our experience.

To the owner or manager: respond to the BBB, resolve this, work with us to take this review down. We're willing to listen to your explanation but, until we do, all we know is that we had to clean up sewage inside our house, we had to find a location for our animals while your workers were here and then while we cleaned up, and we lost appliances, time and don't know if there's been further damage we can't see.

I got referred to this company by a friend. I went on Yelp, read some of the reviews and got worried. But as I was having some drainage issues and believed I needed hydro-jetting, I didn't want to put it off any longer AND they were able to come by the same afternoon I called. Though they ended up arriving about an hour late - I was patient because it was a same day call that other companies I called couldn't do.

Carlos was the lead tech and he was clear in what they were going to do. Their camera broke in the process but they promised to come back in a few days, once it was repaired/replaced and to double check the line. And they put that in writing.

Based on my experience, I would recommend them.


UPDATE: I am STILL waiting on them to double check the line with the camera and leave a DVD of the line. I called them a few times. They were supposed to come out and do it. But I'm still waiting. Their follow through obviously is not the best. And I hate to think they aren't telling the truth after 'putting it in writing' but here we are...months later.

That's why the now get three stars.

The team at Pioneer Plumbing are top notch. We had just fired another plumber who left a job unfinished. Pioneer came out, did a free evaluation (including underground camera work, which no one does for free), and then finished the other plumber's work and did the bigger repair at a price that was well below the original estimate I got from the first plumber. The team are exceptional - from the supervisor Carlos who first came over to Albert and Calvin who worked long and hard all day to do the perma-liner work. Also the guys who came with the liner were great as well. Not only was the sewer work done great, but the clean up they did around the property was stellar. They worked for an hour filling in dirt, hosing the sidewalks and doing the work that many customers have to do when the ""work"" is reportedly complete. Thank you Pioneer. You have new customers.

I had rusting pipes that was causing our water to have a brownish color in it and was leaving residue on our dishes. We drink our water through a purifier so there was no way we were going to be drinking that anymore. I shopped around different companies before doing any re-piping and Pioneer gave me the best price. The worker's name was Carlos and he was extremely friendly and professional. He installed the new pipes and now they're working perfectly!

I needed a plumber to come take a look at my sink in my rental home in Studio City. My tenants had noticed the water going down slow. It was on a Sunday and after being rejected by 3 plumbing companies I thought there was no way I was going to get someone out here. As I searched online for plumbers near my area I came across Pioneer Plumbing. So I took a chance and called them. The gentleman who answered the phone was very helpful. He informed me of their process and rates and I was sold! He said he would send out a plumber to my rental right away. Within an hour Luis was at my door to investigate the problem and sure enough it was clogged. Luis explained everything to my tenants and I and fixed the clogged drain right away with excellent service! The whole time Luis was completely professional, extremely friendly and made me feel like it really was no big deal. I will definitely recommend Pioneer to my friends and family. I will not go through any other plumbing company again!!!

Our garbage disposal wasn't working, and both sides of the kitchen sink were clogged.This happened an hour before our guests were going to arrive for a party. I called the office and they told me they would rush a plumber to my location and he made it there within 30 minutes of my call! And most importantly fixed the issue before our guests got there. His name is Luis and he was very professional and even put booties on before entering our house. He was clean and did not leave a mess. This will be my go to plumber from now on!

I recently had to call a plumber to unplug my toilet because my 2 year old thought it was fun to stuff trash & see it get flushed away! I called Pioneer & they sent this really cool Plumber name Carlos. He was very professional & on time! They were able to unplug my toilet within 20 mins.

i HAVE HAD A VERY BAD AND UNRELIABLE SERVICE WITH Pioneer PLUMMING. IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO BE IN A DESPIRATE SITUATION WITH YOUR BACKED UP BATHROOM AND DO NOT WANT TO SPEND ALL DAY WAITING FOR HELP, i WOULD NOT USE PIONEER PLUMMING. On Oct 2 14 Pioneer Plumming did drained cleanning of the main pipe in my house and has given me 3 month warranty. On Oct 19 Sunday my pipes clogged again. I have called answering service at 11 AM, and has been calling every hour for the rest of the day. Answering service team kept promissing that plummer on call will call me right away. NOBODY called and followed up with me ALL DAY. when I called on Monday Oct 20, Dan the owner said I would have to wait untill Thursday to do pipe cleanning as the plummer who can do warranty cleanning will back at work only on Thursday (ie in 4 days...). I am sharing my VERY NEGATIVE EXPERIENCE WITH Pioneer Plumming on Yelp so other people are aware how unreliable and bad service was in my situation.

I can't attest to the quality of work because I fired them before we started. Two appointment no shows with no calls to inform us of anything. Terrible customer service!

We had a backup in one of our kitchen sinks, we weren't sure what the cause was, since we don't put very much down the disposal, we found out during the clean out process my husband had been putting eggshells down the disposal, which also affected the 2nd sink in the island, A snake was initially used to clear the problem in the 1st sink, to no avail, the second approach was to use the clean outs under the 2nd sink. Aha, this worked, although the job was relatively easy, it was a lengthy one.

Victor was very polite & clean, he explained everything, he was doing as he did it. If Victor worked for another company I would use him again, but not Pioneer.

There was some confusion regarding the price, when Victor first arrived one price was stated and then he said if he could use the 'outside' clean out it would be a different price & it was. If using the under sink clean out is easy I don't feel there should be an increase in price, it's not like he had to snake the whole line. These are not Victors' rules they are Pioneers.

Within days of our job being we received a phone call from Pioneer to write a review and we said we would, however, since we didn't get to it right away, 'Pioneer' kept calling us day after day, this is a complete turn off - we felt like we were being hounded
