I called on Saturday afternoon and they came Monday morning, which was awesome. I was afraid I'd have to wait several days to fix one of my outdoor faucets.

The problem was diagnosed and fixed in about 30 minutes. The rate was affordable and the plumbers didn't make me feel like an idiot, which I really appreciate. Plumbing problems can be ridiculously stressful and I appreciate that they took their time to explain things to me without being condescending or rude. I'll definitely call them again if I have any plumbing problems!

In actuality we would not even give this company one star! Our GE 50 gal natural gas water heater (under warranty) began to leak - Surprise!
We purchased a compatible Rheem replacement and brought it to our home. As bad luck would have it (phone book choice - eenie, meenie, miney, mo) our finger fell on
Petersen Plumbing. The Peterson plumber arrived - but too bad, so sad, didn't have the correct hose on his truck. He was gone for 30 min - 1 hr before coming back.
Time was then ""wasted"" with what appeared to be much measuring, stalling, measuring, looking, contemplating - he seemed to be burning our dollars with
unnecessary, unprofessional time wasting a whole lot of endless calculating and re-calculating...
To us it seemed a straightforward installation but in actuality took what seemed like an extra-long time after which a bill of $486.20 was presented. Oh, don't forget
$25.00 for a tiny sticker which he said if we didn't buy a ""mean, bad man"" would
come and fine us $100.00 for not having it. We opted to install the two necessary earthquake bands and vents ourselves to stay within code. Another surprise happened a few days later when we received an additional bill of $178.71. We called the plumbing office very upset and were told we didn't need to pay it - we wondered why this extra bill if we didn't owe it.! When we choose Peterson Plumbing little did we know we would definitely remember the name - for all the wrong reasons! We would never, ever recommend this plumbing company!

I have used Petersen since 1987; that day they were the third plumbing company to be called and show up, and the only ones with the correct tools to fix a problem.

Move to Thanksgiving eve, 2014. I called them at 3:30 pm on Wed for an emergency. They were here in 1.5 hours, and stayed until almost midnight to get us working. Even the owner, 4th generation, showed up to help and stayed until the end.

I've never had a problem with them being late or not having the tools needed. I can't compare them to other companies because I won't use other companies.

OK these guys are frikking brilliant. I basically had a tankless water heater issue that no-one else in town could repair. We had two major plumbing companies in town out to assess it and were advised that we should just replace the unit (would have cost 800 bucks). Finally we called Petersen's and told them we had an issue with our water heater that no-one else was willing to figure out. They came out and within the hour were able to troubleshoot the problem accurately and saved us upwards of 700 bucks. They even had one of the owners (who is an electrician) come out for free to assess the wiring for us. It was as good as an experience could be given how complex our particular issue was. They have exceptionally talented repair people, and I would highly recommend them for complex issues or if you are having problems pinpointing why your plumbing is not working. They are also very reasonably priced. Could not recommend them any higher and HIGHLY recommend you START with these guys.

Have used Petersen's three times in about as many years. Showed up in the time slot promised and did the work professionally and fast. Prices are fair and the plumbers are friendly. Trucks are equipped to meet the task.

I honestly don't understand the good reviews for this company. I was informed our water heater was not up to code in our new rental and we needed to contract a plumber to come out and put earthquake straps on our water heater as well as cut the venting to make it fit better.
Our landlord had us use Petersens Plumbing based on the Yelp reviews. We had scheduled the appointment and made it fully aware of what services we were needing. They sent out an older lady who took one look at our older water heater model, and in a panic said she didn't know much about these newer models and someone will be back within a few hours to complete the job (she hadn't even started it yet).
More than 5 hours had pasted when we finally called the office around 6:30pm asking when someone was going to come back. She finally came back around 7:30pm with 2 other guys to help her. They ended up emptying my water heater to lower it to take care of the extra vent we had on top (all they had to do was cut it and re-clamp it together). Then she burst through the door saying the water was going everywhere and again she wasn't sure of these new types of water heaters. Again, our water heater is not new.
After about 2 hours they were finally finished. There was a younger gentlemen with her who was pretty nice, and calm.
Needless to say, I should of went with Kevin Cohen Plumbing who was recommended to us in the first place. I now know who to call and who not to call. I would definitely be leery of calling Petersens.

Earlier this year I was living in an old apartment that had CONSTANT plumbing problems, and tended to rely on my building manager for repairs. One Saturday, though, he wasn't around and my kitchen sink wouldn't drain. I decided to nip the problem in the bud (rather than wait until Monday) and called Petersen Plumbing.

The plumber showed up a couple hours later at the scheduled time (give or take 15 minutes, which is not something to complain about). He got right to work and focused intently on the sink. An hour and a half or so after arriving, he had liberated the sink backup. He even ended up discovering a crack in one of the pipes and told me I should get it fixed, and he flipped the switch for the disposal and found that it wasn't functioning (which it hadn't been for a month). He stuck his hand right down into it and dug out the offending materials and just like that, my disposal and sink were back in business.

I can't comment on the fairness of the bill, because this was my first time hiring a plumber, but it wasn't anything that made my eyes bulge out in agony.

In summary: Professional, good-humored plumber; two problems fixed (and another one identified); happy me. Would recommend.

I was worried about finding a decent plumber. I looked around to see who was rated the best. I called them and told them of my predicament and they were very courteous with me. They even tried walking me through the issue before I even had someone come out! I was super impressed. The plumbers arrived at my house quite promptly. Terry, the main plumber and his assistant were very kind and found the problem quickly. Not only did they resolve the issue I called about, but they also fixed my garbage disposal. I would recommend this company to anyone in need of a plumber!

While I believe these folks do a good job, there are a few quirks that really, really show up on my radar. When I take time off from work and I have made an appointment WELL AHEAD OF TIME, I expect the plumber to show up within the hour they tell me. 2 1/2 hours later, here comes the plumber! That was the first phase of the job. The next time it was an hour later that told when the plumber would be there. The other downer was when the assistant came in to do the work, he had mud on his shoes and mud got in both bathrooms and then in the one bath tub when he wasn't even working on the tub. When I asked the owner, Bernard, about the tardiness, he defended his companies actions and saw nothing wrong with it. WOW! As I stated, I think the plumbing job was done well, I just don't like the rock-star attitude and most likely will not use them on future projects (which I have two pending). Price as an FYI was fair, but my time lost is worth something, believe it or not, so I have to factor that in and would have to say it was a little high.
