After reviewing the yelp reviews, I decided to try Peter Lai plumbing because they were local to us. I was having some back up
problems with the mainline and Andy from Peter Lai plumbing came out promptly the first day I called. Well he checked out the mainline and it appeared to have cleared on it's own. But I noticed there was some leakage around the base of one of our toilets, so we scheduled for him to come back and fix that issue along with doing a visual check with a camera to the mainline.
On his second visit he found that there was backup of water in the mainline. He showed me the problem with the camera viewing and then after clearing the roots, the drainage problem was cleared. He also showed me that there was a crack in our pipe going out from the clean out to the street and that is probably why there was so much roots in that part of the pipe. His suggestion was to periodically rotor blade it to keep it clear as oppose to the more expensive option of replacing the pipe or inner lining the pipe.
I am happy with their service because of their promptness, honesty and also explaining what he was doing and why. I will definitely use them for my future plumbing service

Andy was a great help! Started off with a small leak and had him finish other plumbing tasks including clearing drain lines and replacing multiple faucets. I DEFINITELY would use his services again! Jobs were done clean and he even puts on booties without having to ask. He also accepts Venmo!

Our floors and walls were all soaked near the water heater tank in the garage and my parents didn't know what happened. I called Andy over at Peter Lai Plumbing and I'm glad I did! Had a clogged kitchen sink and no other plumbers were able to come to my house that same day to fix it until I called Peter Lai plumbing. Andy came to our house in less than 10 mins after I called. He was professional, knew exactly what the problem was and how to fix it. I highly recommend them.

Very professional and friendly. Andy was in the area and came to my house in less then 15 mins. My kitchen sink needed a minor repair but he took the time to go to homedop and buy the part that was needed. Charged me $75. I will definitely call them again. Thank you

After contacting Peter Lai Plumbing, I almost instantly received a response back from Andy. Thought they were closed during the weekend but he said he can be at our place in an hour.

Andy fixed a broken pipe under the sink very quickly and also cleaned up the area very nicely.

I then proceeded to tell him about a clogged kitchen sink and he worked on that even though I hadn't informed him about it previously. Turned out to be a much longer job than expected, but he still honored his standard drain unclogging price and made sure everything was working properly.

Their pricing is very competitive, but one thing I appreciated from Andy is his customer service and good workmanship.

I called Peter Lai Plumbing because I had a sewer main block caused by SCE work and needed a camera inspection to prove it wasn't our issue. Andy agreed to come out the same day and was really great. Not only did he perform a camera inspection, he snaked the drain and got a second opinion on where the stoppage was to make sure that SCE would have an accurate mark to dig up the road and to ensure that I wouldn't be liable for any work done. Really great work and customer service, I would definitely recommend.

I had a minor shower drain problem. It drains fine with water but in the presence of shampoo or soap, it would slow down a little. At first Andy couldn't find the problem because when he inserted the snake gun 10 meters in, he couldn't find anything. He said the pipe is new and everything clean. So he inserted 40 meters in this time and was able to find some hair, amount to the size of a grape approximately. So that was the culprit!

I am very happy with Andy's service. He was pretty thorough. Where other plumbers probably would stop at 10 meters in, but Andy put in the extra miles and pumped 4X deeper, at 40 meters in. The service was comparably cheap, only $80, whereas another place quoted me about twice the price. I find Andy to be direct and honest. I will definitely use his service again should future plumbing issues arise. Highly recommended!
