This family-owned business was founded by Pete Borman more than 68 years ago
upon seeing the community's need for an honest and skilled plumber.
Pete sold the business to Al Price, his son-in-law, and Jerry Klasky, a dedicated employee, in 1972.
Al bought out Jerry's portion of the company in 2007.
Chris, the grandson of Pete and son of Al, now runs the family-owned company with pride.
This is a third-generation plumbing company.
When Chris is away from the office, Janet ensures everything operates smoothly.
Pete the Plumber values your support and is always ready to assist our past, present, and future customers.
Chris joined Pete the Plumber in 1986, starting as a novice plumber.
Through hard work, he became a licensed plumber and climbed to the role of general manager.
Chris is committed to delivering exceptional service to his clients and exceeding their expectations.
He believes the best compliment for Pete the Plumber is a referral from a friend, colleague, family member, or neighbor.
We have emphasized ""word of mouth"" advertising since 1945 and still regard it as the greatest form of recognition.
We prioritize honesty, fair pricing, punctuality, and clear communication of procedures to our clients.

STAY AWAY! The plumber came out in a terrible mood and when he couldn't finish the job he left the job site filthy. He didn't even clean the toilet or tub out just left it there so I had to and said he'd come back the next day. The cost of his visit $180 The problem still unsolved.

I called Pete on the recommendation of a friend, but I'm sorry I did. I was quoted $99/hour on the phone. Two guys showed up. One went under the house (I have crawl space) and the other turned on the sinks to figure out where the leak was coming from (a job I could have done). After the work was done, I was told that the price was $135/hour because two guys were required for the job. But the second guy hardly did anything. I called the owner who admitted that his people do not always give the correct information re price but there is nothing he can do about it (he is the owner, yes he can!). He was not friendly at all. Turns out, they did not completely fix the leak and I had to call another plumber. Note: the reason I knew that they did not fix the leak is because I had a termite inspection the day after Pete the Plumber came by and he informed me that there is a visible leak under the house. Pete's plumbers should have seen that and did not. I had to pay another plumber more money to come out and fix that problem. Very unsatisfied with the work and customer service.

I called plumbers before for my house and it had been a nightmare of people banking on the client inexperience of plumbing issues and overcharging, instead of trying to fix the issue at hand as fast and best as possible.
My experience with Pete the Plumber has been a completely different story. A positive one. They came quickly, fixed the problem and charged reasonably - compared to my previous experiences. I was able to talk to the guys and together agree on the best course of action until we got the problem fixed. My neighbor also uses them and keeps calling them back when needed. Janet and the other people on the phone have always been courteous.
I highly recommend Pete the Plumber.

I'd called this company for service on a hot water heater that I was having problems with. The technician came to my door, told me they didn't do work on condos and left. Never even looked at my heater. It's now two years later and they've been harassing me to pay for the service. There was no service, the technician never came through my door, and they expect to be paid. Do not even call these people.

NEVER USE THESE GUYS!!! We called them over for warrenty work on our hot water heater...not only did they want to refuse our warrenty they wanted us to pay for the work and they managed to break a water line for my house and are now refusing to cover the damages...I REPEAT DO NO USE!!!! if you call them for warrenty work they will half ass the work and then have an excuse to get out asap. Even the Owner of the company admitted to only wanting to do work for pay, and not cover his own warrenty. NEVER CALL or DO BUSINESS WITH!.

After dealing with another company that couldn't figure out why we were having water pressure problems, it was a joy to have the problem diagnosed quickly and fixed effectively for a reasonable price. My guy arrived on time, explained everything in really clear language, and was very kind. I won't take my plumbing business anywhere else again.

If you are thinking about calling Pete the Plumber.....You should think twice.
The service I received by this company was horrible to say the least. The work that they completed at my building cost me hundreds of dollars and was a complete waste of time, as I had to have a different company come out the next day and take care of the issue. To make matters worse, when I called to lodge a complaint, the staff completely disregarded my concerns and stood by their plumber. The staff has no idea what the word customer service means and are completely arrogant on the phone. I think they need a lesson in basic customer service skills. Save time, money, and peace of mind call a different plumber!

The owner's attitude is deplorable. There was damage to my apartment, he wouldn't cover the cost of repairs and refused to finish the job, after reporting the damage.
.

These guys are great! Super fast, curtious and punctual. Beto was my plumber and I will call again when I need more stuff done. Thank you!

I have used Pete the Plumber for years but the last review was a nightmare. They had sent quality people in the past, but this time it seemed to be someone I could have hired from the parking lot of Home Depot. He did not fix anything, left things as they were, said he pulled ""chicken bones"" from the garbage disposal (impossible), lett the toilet with water running around the sides & said ""that''s the way they all are"", he was sent back as the garbage disposal still didn't work and said I needed a new one! From Wed to Sat, I needed a new one? What did he acutally do to it 3 days before? Nothing! The explanation from Chris Price the ""manager"" is rife with what I consider outright lies and distortions. He twisted things to try to put them in his favor. I feel that I am a victim of customer exploitation & abuse and I would never call these people again. It is my feeling that they are con artists, rip off experts & refuse to take responsiblity, as long as they get your money, they don't seem to care about customer service or satisfaction. For what I feel are a few dishonest bucks, they lost a life long customer. They are part of the disrespectful state of affairs the shabby services industry is in today and customers should fight back. I am thoroughly disgusted by this place.
