This family-owned business was founded by Pete Borman more than 68 years ago
after noticing a need for reliable and experienced plumbing services in the area.
Pete sold the business to Al Price, his son-in-law, and Jerry Klasky, a dedicated employee, in 1972.
Al bought out Jerry's portion of the company in 2007.
Chris, the grandson of Pete and son of Al, now runs the family-owned company with pride.
We are proud to be a third-generation plumbing service.
When Chris is out, Janet manages the office to ensure everything runs well.
Pete the Plumber values your support and is always ready to assist our past, present, and future customers.
Chris joined Pete the Plumber in 1986, starting as a novice plumber.
He worked diligently, earned his plumbing license, and progressed to general manager.
Chris is committed to delivering exceptional service to his clients and exceeding their expectations.
He believes the best compliment for Pete the Plumber is a referral from a friend, colleague, family member, or neighbor.
We have emphasized ""word of mouth"" advertising since 1945 and still regard it as the greatest form of recognition.
Our focus is on integrity, fair pricing, timeliness, and thoroughly explaining our processes to clients.

We had a great experience with Chris regarding a sewage line issue for our new house. He arrived promptly, showed me video of the pipe in real-time, and educated me on what was/was not needed and why. Professional, friendly and trustworthy.
I also learned that he's a third generation plumbing specialist!

So ive had so many bad plumber experiences where i feel like they over charged me and didn't even do the work right that i was so scared to call anyone. But wow, everyone at Pete the plumber was so amazing!! From Janet who answered the phone when i first called to everyone else who followed up with me and Mario the plumber who really did an amazing job! I only called him for one thing and while he was there i asked if he could check out a couple other issues and he was so patient and helpful. He went thru everything and they went above and beyond to help me out. I cant say enough about this company, they were so professional and the plumbers are so skilled and to too it off they were totally cheeper than people i had called in the past.

Great Plumber, Fixed things Right away. Had no problems With anything everyone should use him!

Love working with Pete the Plumber, always shows up to the job on time and breaks down their bills exactly as needed by a management company for our Owner's reports. We will be using Pete for many years.
Top notch service!

This is my first yelp review but I'm motivated to share my unsatisfactory experience with Pete the Plumber. They did not explain pricing over the phone. When I scheduled an appointment on a weekend, they failed to explain the excessive overcharges for weekend service and failed to produce an invoice onsite. I was notified later that a simple clog ended up costing me over $500. To add insult to injury, the clog returned a week later. I called a the company again to return and remedy the problem since it didn't last 7 days. They wanted to charge me another $230 to tell me the drain was fine. I will never use this service again.

This company was recommended by a realtor I work with and am I happy they did. Water was seeping up from our downstairs toilet. When I called and spoke with Janet, she said more than likely there was some stoppage in the line. She made some suggestions on how to mitigate the problem before they were able to come over. She coordinated with my tenants to arrange a time window for the plumbers to come over.
The diagnosis was spot on and they were able to resolve it to my satisfaction. They arrived within the designated time and did the job with excellent results. I will definitely use this company in the future. They were professional, friendly and helped me with what could have been a difficult situation.

Two guys came out and couldn't identify the make of the bidet. They asked me to research it and get back to them when I knew the make. After a few weeks, I got a call saying they would have to pull out the hardware to find out what make it was and they would not be responsible if it wouldn't go back together or if they couldn't get parts. New fixtures would probably be involved. I called another plumber and he took one look, told me it was a Kohler, and preceeded to fix it. He said it was a minor adjustment and didn't even have to take it apart. He was here 20 min. and charged me 60.00. Its been 2 months now and it's working perfectly. Meanwhile I was billed (and paid), Pete the Plumber $99.00 for a service call (for nothing).
Don't use these people.

It was tough to find a new plumber that actually shows up, does the job, returns calls and does a follow up -- but I have found it in Pete the Plumber. The office staff is friendly, works to accommodate and the plumbers are nice and professional. I'm a property manager and it's a relief to find someone who does great work that's also so responsive. For an extra charge, they were willing to come out to the beach as well. I will be using them for now on.

We have aging plumbing in our aging Canyon House. A few years ago, I thought we were going to have to replace plumbing when the line from our kitchen was completely clogged. I called one of those advertised services. While polite, they couldn't do it. By chance, Tashman's Hardware recommended Pete's. I've now used them for about 4 years on an annual basis. Each time, they politely tell me I need to change the plumbing but there is no sales pressure. Stupidly I strayed from them when a blockage ocurred on the weekend. I saw great reviews for a guy who did weekend calls. What an expensive mistake. He didn't get to us until Monday and he was almost double the price. He also turned a slightly leaky u joint into a broken one. I know those things can happen and my husband easily replaced it, but I realized later that the broken u joint meant he didn't check his work on the clog. (He didn't tell me the joint had completely broken. I discovered it after he left. Had I known I would have run a garden hose in the line to check it) After my husband fixed it and I ran the dishwasher, I discovered not only had he not cleared the line, he made it worse. When I texted this guy, he said he'd make another house call for an additional $160.00. I couldn't believe it. I then called Pete the Plumber told them what happened and they sent their guys out that day. For $90.00 they undid the now completely clogged line after a lot of sweat and grit. They then cleaned up afterwards, and knowing I don't like harsh chemicals, left with an advisement to put a half gallon of vinegar monthly to try and keep the line clear.

I have used Pete the Plumber for both small, reset toilet/replace wax ring, and large, A/C drain line replacement, jobs and they are simply the best in the business! Prompt, courteous, knowledgeable, and extremely reasonable prices. I have tried other plumbers in the past; been lied to, upsold, and overcharged...nowadays I only call Pete the Plumber for my plumbing issues.
