Update: I'm updating this review to four stars as Ryan, a new project manager, reached out to me to apologize and explain the reason for the delayed response. He also honored the rebate even though it was rejected by Tech Clean CA due to his predecessor's mistakes. We all mess up sometimes, I appreciate Ryan owning up to it and making things right in the end. The work they performed was good and the workers, receptionists, etc. were all pleasant to deal with.

Nice group, but an operationally passive, unproactive business exhibiting lacking of execution and attention to detail.

Now here is the story of my $16K water heater & ""heat pump"" replacement.

1) Water heater was mis-measured and they brought over the wrong size unit causing a 1-2 week delay.

2) HVAC heat pump unit installed after an 8-week wait time (supply availability). The installation team hastily and rudely departed my condo after taking my 15K payment WITHOUT INSTALLING THE THERMOSTAT. So, on DAY 1 the AC didn't work in the middle of August.

3) Two days ago (November 7th 2024), 3 months after the HVAC unit was installed, we turn on the heat and it DOES NOT WORK. The customer technical support rep Aleko (who is proficient & friendly) comes out to check and discovers that the wrong HVAC unit was installed. They installed a unit that does not have heat. They did not install a heat pump, as ordered. The order clearly stated heat pump so the issue started with the supplier ""Howard"". Regardless, someone at Personal Plumming should have checked that a HEAT PUMP was installed, as ordered. Now we have no heat and no resolution.

If you can't avoid this company MAKE SURE YOU HAVE EVERYTHING WORKING BEFORE PAYING A DIME. Aleko is helpful. I can't say anything positive about the others at this point. They'll take your payment and simply not finish the job.

Very frustrated and cold. It's November. I asked for the Owner or GM to call me, but have not heard back.

Updated 11/18/24: (11 days after realizing I didn't have heat)

ALFREDO was helpful, but it doesn't change the experience before. The owner sent him out to finally install the heat strips and my heat is now working.

I will be ""kind"" at upgrade to 2 stars, but I would NOT consider myself a delighted customer.

Excellent service with well trained technician (Alecko Funk) who is clearly committed to providing top quality service. He not only did quality work but kept us informed along the process and educated us to better understand the system. We highly recommend !!!

I was a client of Excel Air which was purchased by Personal Plumbing. My experience after 7 months with Personal Plumbing has not been very positive. In May 2024, I paid for annual HVAC service. Then in Oct 2024 during the 2nd annual visit, the technician billed me for another annual maintenance and failed to tell me that I was paying for the HVAC with Personal Plumbing Plan, which I did not request. I should not have been charged anything since the Oct HVAC visit was already paid for back in May 2024. I am working with them to try to get the total amount charged to my credit card reversed.
Additionally, when the technician arrived to perform the HVAC maintenance, he had no air filter which is advertised to be included in their HVAC plan.
Initial impressions are not positive.

Such a pleasant ending to our plumbing problem. The service provided by Evan was excellent and very quick/ efficient. He also went above and beyond by checking other common issues around the house. Will definitely recommend Personal Plumbing and will use them again in the future.

I am so impressed with this company and in particular Daniel!
Right on time, explained everything that was required and effeciently completed the work. Very polite, gave us tips for future use of our trash compactor and overflow for the dishwasher. He ran checks, including a rinse cycle in the dishwasher. Daniel went above and beyond to clear a clogged pipe.
Never tried to sell additional work that so many of the plumbing companies do. Gave us a quote and no up charges or concealed charges. Very honest and commendable
Will continue to use this company for any future needs.

Our residence pretty much has an annual need to have a drainage cleanout of tree roots within our sewer lines. Over the years we have typically paid between $100 to $350 for a service call depending on the severity of the roots at a given time. Last year we used Vets for You Plumbing and paid around $350. The year before we paid around $200. Vets for You Plumbing has now been acquired by Personal Plumbing Heating & Air Conditioning..... We had them come out to perform our annual routine and were given an estimate of $1,795! The rationale was the technology they used. Although the service representative was very professional and personable, we declined their service and ended up paying for a $95 service call and were still left with tree roots. We have another company that we've used before come today and they normally charge $175 with a 15% senior discount on top of that price, so $155 out the door and roots have been cleared. As you can see, the price difference is greater than a factor of 10. You can make your own assessment....... Really bummed to have lost Vets for You Plumbing and Yogi's Plumbing which have gotten acquired now by this company.

My Water heater, broke and garage was flooded. Contacted Personal Plumbing and they came to my rescue. Replaced my old water heater with a tankless water heater. The guys were very polite and professional, and respectful. My plumbing system was complicated and they worked hard to fix it. Daniel stayed until 9 pm one night! But they got it fixed and were determined to do so!

I have have 100% satisfaction with the work of Personal Plumbing Heating and A/C. I have hired them for both my home and business. And I have had a variety of services performed including replacing plumbing in a sink, replacing a toilet sewer access pipe, installing a gas dryer in a rental, installing a hot water tank in my business and, most recently, performing maintenance on the aging HVAC system in my business. Every job was performed well, on time, and for a reasonable price. Even better, because of the on-going work relationship I have established with them over the years, they now sometimes provide some free and discounted work. I met the owner recently. He is a Veteran (always a plus) and must have some brilliant business sense as this company has bought out at least two competitors over the last year and are expanding. Highly Recommend Personal Plumbing for all your plumbing and HVAC needs.
