Kim was the office worker who helped me setup my appointment and was very nice to me. Chris was my technician from Payless plumbing. He was so polite and explained everything so clearly to me. I had a water leak under my patio, which meant concrete had to be removed before the repair could take place. He was very careful to remove as little as possible so that there was minimal damage. He was fast and efficient about the repair. He even cleaned up after himself, which was so thoughtful. I was given what I considered a fair estimate and the work was done promptly. I highly recommend Payless Plumbing!

I almost never write reviews. I probably only write a review if I had a bad or horrible experience. Well after reading some of the reviews on here and after just having them come out the other day, I decided to post. Ive used Payless for years and have always had good service and really good people come out, sometimes at a moments notice like the other day. Chris and Bryant were the last two to come out and I highly recommend them. They will continue to be my first call and I will continue to refer them to friends and family.

Called them for an estimate to re-pipe the house. Was told they charged $45.00 for an estimate which would be applied to any work done. I agreed and someone came out and went through the house. He took my email address and I was told the guy who writes up the estimates would get back to me. This was on a Tuesday morning. I had not heard anything by Thursday and so I called to inquire. The woman on the line told me he had the information and she would have him get back to me that day. Never heard back. Called back on Friday and she looked it up and said he was out in the field but he had the information. She said she would contact him and get right back to me. I never heard back. I was charged $45.00 and I still have not gotten an estimate. In the meantime I had other companies come and give me estimates. Not one of them charged for it and they got back to me right away with their estimates. Payless was very unprofressional. I will be disputing any charge that shows on my credit card.

I have no idea why this review is listing me as being in San Francisco. I am in Bakersfield.

Always on time, within the hours they quote and they call when they are on the way. I had two toilets that needed the valves and water lines replaced. In and out in about 35 min. They charge $85/hr and the whole bill including parts was $139. I have used them on several occasions now and they have never let me down. You WILL have to provide a credit card prior to their arrival. If you are unwilling or unable to provide a credit card they will not take the job.

FNHW sent the guy out on Monday. He did a half ass rushed job in the kitchen. What pisses me off is that he used the sponge we use for washing dishes under the kitchen sink and left it in the bucket with dirty water that had had been dripping in there. Furthermore, his work was extremely nasty, and messy; he left grease stains everywhere that are hard to get out. They've been called out again because of his half ass job. Don't call on these people. You'll regret it.

This ""plumber"" was contracted by FNHW to go to my home last Monday to diagnose a water heater that was not working. The person they sent stated that the temperature sensor was not working and that they would bypass the sensor for the time being and order a new sensor to install. The sensor was bypassed but the water heater remained inoperable. When I called Payless back to inquire as to when I could expect the new/ordered sensor to be installed I was told my order ticket had been closed out already as ""only needed pilot light to be lit"" and there was no other work that they were going to do. In my opinion this company should be avoided at all costs due to poor/substandard work, indifference towards customer's concerns and lying. Note: they got one star because 0 stars is not given as a choice.

Absolute trash.

I was given a window of 4 hours for their company to stop by. I expressed that I'd be working during this time and I asked if I can receive a call 30 minutes prior to their arrival so that I have time to leave work. They show up (with no call), I cannot immediately leave work and then they charge me their $45 consultation fee because their representative came out.

Not a good way to do business. Absolute trash.

Payless Plumbing does not disappoint! Payless adjusted their schedule to accommodate our need to fix two leaks in our kitchen. Payless technician, Bryant, showed up on time within the window of time allotted. Bryant was professional, competent and fixed our leaks timely. Our condo association uses Payless for all our association needs and because of their excellent service we use them for our plumbing repairs.

I finally found a plumber I trust. Payless Plumbing has been out to my residence for three separate problems and each one was fixed in a timely manner by a knowledgeable professional. The service professional had his mask on too adhering to CoVid regulations which was nice. He always had me check his work and answered any questions I had in a way I clearly understood. Their pricing is reasonable too and I don't feel like they take advantage. When speaking to the office they are kind and personable. Also appreciate the plumber calls when they are on their way and always shows up on time. Thank you!
