For those of us who have become familiar with the nightmare of plumming problems, it should be very understandable why I have decided to give this company a second 5 star review. Once again, the roots have invaded my sewer line and the courteous, professional and excellent service that Clint offers up to save us is second to NONE! Thanks again Clint... You are just the best!!! 10 stars if I could give em!

Very courteous and professional.

All of a sudden my kitchen sink on the trash compactor size was plugged. Called Payless and got Clint right away on his cell phone - he offered to walk me through how to check to see if I could declog it myself over the phone which I thought was very nice seeing he was on the roof on another job at the time. Long and short of it he did eventually end up coming out and it turned out that a tumbler had fallen into the sink drain and was causing the stoppage. The tumbler was transparent so it wasn't obvious at all from just looking into the drain it appeared as if there was nothing causing the blockage at the entrance. After about a minute or so Clint stuck his hand in - something I was reluctant to do - pulled out the glass and voila!

But here's the best part - I asked him how much I owed him for coming out and he said no charge! Heartily can recommend Payless and Clint and will certainly be using him when I have a real plumbing issue next time.

Installed new clean out in sewer line next to house under driveway in preparation for leak compliance test. Conducted test, brought in EMUD to witness test and arranged for Stege (local sanitary district) to inspect clean out before closing up. The cut into the concrete was done neatly as was the filling, placement of the cover and mortaring flush with the driveway. Clint was very responsive and knew exactly what was needed - more so than two other contractors who were contacted. This was a job very well done and I highly recommend him

These guys are the BEST!! I can't recommend them enough. Their prices are great. They are on time, and sometimes available on the spot. They bend over backwards to get the job done. Quality work. They are super cool. I've had them do a couple of jobs, and they are the ONLY plumbers I will use from now on. You can totally trust these guys. They know what they're doing, and it is quality work. If I could give them 10,000 stars I would.

Had a small leak in plumbing above water heater, next day it became much worse. Needed a plumber quickly, a friend recommended Clint, made a call and Clint was able to come to the rescue after he finished a job he was on. It was well after regular work hours but he came, drove from Richmond to ElCerrito for a part, fixed the leak and charged a very reasonable minimal fee. He was very helpful, gave us some good information and was a pleasure to deal with. He will now be our go to plumber for our rental, my moms house and my house, and will be the one to recommend to my friends when needed. Thank you Clint you really helped when we needed you.

Excellent Service and a Life Saver! Clint helped me out of a big time jam this evening!
I got home pretty late from work to find that our Bathtub faucet had gone from drip-mode (which started 2 days ago) to a full out stream of water. (Of course this happens now as we're in a serious drought throughout the state).
No matter how much I tried to turn off the water and put pressure the handle, it would stop for a bit and then just keep on pouring. Even though it was already 8:30pm I tried calling a plumbing company down the block... answering machine. Tried another, and got a hold of a nice guy but he wasn't about to make the house call this late.
Then, I gave Payless a call. This should have been my first move, but truly 3rd time is a charm.
Despite being after normal hours, Clint answered the call. He was about to head home for the nite from another job but was able to diagnose the problem over the phone [single-handle shower/bath faucet, Delta brand ... our ""cartridge"" had worn out.] I didn't know what this was, but I've since learned that this is the critical part that sits in the wall behind the handle.

He came by the house and fixed our problem like a pro. Water was no longer gushing out of the faucet and we had water running to the rest of the house.
So, I walk away from this experience very grateful for Clint's help, very thankful for his availability, and all the knowledge he shared in the process. He chose to really help me out of the jam when I needed it.

I HIGHLY recommend Clint and the Payless Plumbing team for any issues you might have. They understand that helping customers and providing excellent service is the best business model one can have. 5 Stars well earned!

These guys are great! I first spoke with Clint when I called, he was able to fit me in the next day. His brother, Wayne, came out to fix our toilet seal.. he was also very helpful. He explained the issue we had and explained all of our options. They charged me the exact amount they quoted me on and were reliable and efficient. I would highly recommend Payless Plumbing to anyone with a small or big job!

Clint is a great businessman! He makes his clients feel like friends, not just numbers. He did an install for me in August of '14... There was a slight issue with the hardware this month in Jan '15.. Clint came by and fixed the issue! What a great guy and great service! Thanks Clint! He is definitely the best in the bay area!

In the past four months I have had contact with three different plumbers regarding my Eichler slow drain. I won't name them right now, suffice it to say that I have put them on my DO NOT ever call again. I have asked for many references, got a few names and stumbled on Payless and Cliff. He came to my home, I showed him what I thought was the problem. He fixed that. Then he proceeded to continue getting to the ""root"" of the problem. He used his camera to find a problem we didn't know existed in a place I never expected. Cliff is a very intelligent man and extremely conscientious about doing the job Right the first time. Courteous and clean he finished the job leaving behind a very satisfied customer who will recommend him with complete confidence. Reasonable pricing too. If you have a plumbing problem, call Cliff and get it solved the first time.
