Took my a little while to get to this so.... APOLOGIES!

Brand new house (NEW TO ME!) and a brand new problem!!! Master Bath tub spout goes BOOM!!! At 10:30pm!!! What mounted to roughly 75 Gal/Min began shooting out of the wall and into the bathroom floor! Water, water EVERYWHERE!!! Once the fire department arrived and mopped up all the mess I was still left with NO WATER (not JUST for me, but for the ENTIRE row of townhouses!!!) and the HUGE potential for another massive leak!

Who to call??? Well, I honestly called EVERY PLUMBING COMPANY WITHING the greater Portland Area! What ever Google ""suggested: was who I had called! Most of the companies would simply refer me elsewhere, while others would offer to ""schedule an appointment next week.""

Now, I'm not going to say that when I called Paul's Plumbing that they just JUMPED at the chance like vultures circling over their next meal. I had to talk to the receptionist first and pretty much plead my case with a huge amount of humor, as this really was pretty funny in a Tom Hanks/The Money Pit kind of way... After I gave the young lady the story and my contact info, I continued to call other shops. Where this story get s good (for me, at least) is that in the middle of a phone call to yet another plumbing company, Paul calls me back. PAUL! Not the receptionist or one of the plumbers on his payroll, but PAUL!

We spoke for a few more minutes as he too (probably) just wanted to get a feel for what was going on and whether or not he would be able to service my property. Paul made NO PROMISES but assured me that he ""would try to help."" So far, this was the best news I had heard since the 911 operator informed me that PDX FIRE was on the way!

I tell you, WITHIN MINUTES I had a van at my door, engine still running and the driver's side door not even shut and the plumber was already asking questions and giving instructions... LESS THAN TWENTY MINUTES LATER he was peeling out and off to whatever job he already had lined up!

Yes, who ever was ""scheduled"" for that morning got delayed by a few minutes, but judging by the efficiency with which this guy worked (I think his name was Jeff... S. Carolina was all I remembered!), I'm guessing that they didn't even notice!

Anyway, really wanted to follow up on this as I will DEFINITELY be recommending these guys to ANYONE I can, as well as calling them back to install that water shut-off valve that I CLEARLY need!!!

Paul did a great job following up after I emailed him and we agreed on a date and time to do the work. Unfortunately that was the best experience of dealing with his company. We agreed on starting at 8 but he called at 8:30 to say they bumped us off the schedule for Kens Artisan Bakery that was a more important customer than us. He said they would be there by 10ish. He called again at 11 to say they couldn't be there until 12. His guy showed up at 12:30 and although we agreed on $109 an hour, we got charged $380 for 2 and 1/2 hours. And his guy went home early because he was tired from the previous job. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

Paul is timely, courteous, nice and experienced! He fixed our drain above and beyond what we needed. We had already had a quote from another plumber and Paul did it for near $200. less! I am writing this review to also help me remember in the future what plumbing company we were pleased with, so I can access the info again for future use! A+++

Paul's plumbing is a solid choice. They made sure the job was done right, and they got it done in a timely manner. When it came to a certain part that would've worked but was not as good a quality as something else, Jeff sought out the better part that would prevent future problems. Very satisfied. Reasonable price.

Paul's Plumbing showed up on time, fixed a clogged drain, left my home clean, and charged less money than the other guy was going to charge just to look at it.

I highly recommend Paul's Plumbing to folks that want a workmanlike job at a great price. They have earned and will receive my loyalty for future work!

Paul was great and made effort in getting to my issue prompt. However, i was not satisfied with my plumber.
The technician found the problem in my leak quickly (10 min) yet it took 2 hours to complete what appeared to be a simple fix. I'm indicating simple due to the fact that the plumber came in and out of my house 10 times for parts and pieces. An efficient and experienced plumber would know what he needed when realizing the issue, then get what he needed and complete the job. He then proceeded to take 3 trips to gather the tools from my house , when it should have been completed when job was done. My front door opened 10+ times with a lot of back and forth.
Too bad my normal plumber was booked out on jobs and couldn't help me in a leak that i thought needed addressed right away, in which maybe could have waited for better service. I would really know your referral before scheduling an appointment.

Highly recommend! Jeff was early, professional and HONEST! And I left messages with at least 12 other plumbers over the weekend and they were the first and 1 of the few that returned my call. I have their number saved on my phone now.

Paul is an excellent help and quickly resolved our problems with our garbage disposal in less than a few minutes. He's friendly and genuine, a pleasure to work with. We're glad to have found his help:)

I would look for a different plumber. This plumber marked up the toilets he installed several hundred dollars without disclosing this prior to the work. When we requested the invoice from the store, the plumber stated that we could not see this. After obtaining the invoice ourselves, directly from the store, we saw that the plumber had marked up the toilets several hundred dollars over his purchase price. Had we known this significant markup was their practice, we likely would have purchased and picked up the toilets ourselves. The real issue here is that none of this was disclosed prior to to the work being done. The response from the company was"" you should expect this"" rather than ""we should have told you."" Buyer beware.
