In the middle of an extensive renovation our furnace stopped working and we discovered the water heater was leaking. The company sent out a professional crew the same day and everything was wrapped up the next morning. Everyone was very professional and helpful explaining our options. They even fixed the humidifier that was installed incorrectly by another company.
What a crooked company! I had a gas line moved 12"" and they never gave me an estimate like they said they would, they LIED saying the Tech spoke to me on the phone about the price.
They send me an invoice after the work is performed and charge me $525.00 to move the line! What a crooked company.
If you want to be porked use them. but I say STAY AWAY!!!
I contacted this company to fix a toilet and replace my kitchen faucet. When I received a quote of $312 to hook up a faucet, I cancelled that job. I was told it would be a 45 minute job but apparently they don't charge by the hour. It seems absolutely ridiculous to charge that price for a 45 minute job when they were already at the job location. I will never use this company again and could not possibly recommend them to anybody. Call around and get quotes. Find a new plumber.
An G.Paul the plumber charges only $60 for the technician to visit and was able to schedule within 24 hours. The technician arrived on time, listened attentively to my concerns, examined the issue and provided me with a quote and explained that the work could be completed immediately. Although it was enticing to have the work completed same day, The quoted price was over $1000. To replace a few faucets and piping. I wouldn't call them ever again. Gave 2 stars because technician was professional
Got a quote to install a tankless hot water heater in our 1.5 year old home and their quote was through the roof! It made no sense at all. The guy said that we had to install all new gas lines as they weren't big enough at 1.25 and he said we needed 1.5 in to the tune of $1600.00 just for these pipes. Mind you we live in a 55+ development and our home is 1.5 years old. Absolutely ridiculous price for a Rinnai. I think if this place wants to compete with others they need to know about the internet and competition.
Paul the Plumber is somewhat pricey, but you get what you pay for, which in this case is EXCELLENCE.
When you call them during business hours, you get a real person -- usually Pandora -- not a robot or an annoying maze of prompts. PtP realizes how much a [potential] customer appreciates being greeted by a knowledgeable, helpful, and, when necessary, sympathetic human.
The technicians respect you and your property. They show up on time. You'll get a call from a real person when the technicians are on the way. Prior to beginning a job, the technician will give you a pre-invoice detailing what the job will cost -- no surprises, no hidden costs. They put on shoe coverings whenever they enter the house. They clean up after themselves.
Every technician who's come to my house has been knowledgeable and courteous. Bob, the technician who's visited my house the most often, is a throwback to ""the good old days"" -- he takes pride in his work.
The technicians have a tendency during a visit to point out what other issues they see. Are they being helpful or seeking more business? I've found that they will answer honestly if you ask whether it's a soon-to-be-crisis, just normal wear-and-tear that should be monitored, or just a less efficient system than a new one.
Called because I was installing a new tub and demolition revealed some pipe interference that would make it difficult. They said they could not do it. I suggested moving the shower valve a few inches higher than normal, ""good idea that will work."" Spent most of the time standing around and spent 45 minutes ""getting tools"" out of their truck. I got charged over $800 for this plus putting on 2 (wrong) fittings under my sink for the dishwasher. Stay away from this company. Service with a Smile - no wonder.
I made an attempt to replace the shower handle cartridge, with support from a plumber who works at a hardware store. I was able to get all the way to the point where couldn't figure out how to remove the old one, and the plumber was not available, so thought I'd call a professional plumber at that point to finish the job. Figured it couldn't cost too much, since most of the work I had done, and cartridge couldn't cost more than $30. or so. I was shocked at the price I was quoted, $280.00! But because I saw a $50.00 discount online for any service, it turned out less. But still MUCH more expensive than I'd have thought. Unfortunately I had to get it done, since we were unable to turn the water to this faucet off otherwise, so had to turn off whole house water. The plumber was very nice, the customer service was very good. But the price seemed unreasonable. And to add, he gave a price if the valve needed to be replaced would've cost more than $700.00!
I Called and explained what I needed done. After Paying them to look at My 3 Year old Furnace They tried to sell me $2200 in Work I do no need and did not ask for.
Steve M.Scheduled an appointment yesterday for an estimate and possible service. Was told they would show between 10am and 2pm I don't even open til 1 but I made the effort to be there...1:45 rolls around and I get a call saying they won't be there at all. There website also clearly said that they do free estimates and that was wrong as well. Steer clear.
