I think this is my third review of Paul. We started using his services a few years ago, and have been using and recommending him ever since. This time he replaced our aging 50 gallon water tank with a new hi-efficiency model. He also repositioned the gas line leading to our fireplace. In both cases the prior installation had been done very poorly. Now it is beautiful.

Here's a typical Paul story. The day before he was scheduled to do the install of our new water tank, our daughter called in a panic as she had water all over her basement and didn't know who to call. I texted Paul and he immediately got back to me. He was just finishing up a job but said he'd stop by to at least check it out. In the time I expected him to be calling me back to ask for the address again (which he never does because he always gets it right), he called me to let me know he'd finished. He figured out that the water in the discharge hose outside had frozen and blocked the water which caused the motor to burn out. He replaced the sump, fixed the pipe and repositioned some other piping which had been misaligned. He didn't charge for the extras. That made us even happier customers.

Reasons to use Paul:
1. Quality work - the guy is a real pro. He knows what he's doing. Works quickly and efficiently. Doesn't hang around to tell you long stories. He's always got another job waiting.
2. Quick responses. Most everything is by text at first, and that's good. He's always been great about getting back to us asap. He may not be able to come that minute, but he will give you an honest and concise response.
3. Fair pricing. He has been here 7 times and not once did I feel that he had overcharged. He is good about explaining what something will cost and giving you alternatives.
4. Nice guy. Friendly. Hard working. Honest. Responsive. We continue to highly recommend Paul the (most excellent) Plumber.

Paul is exactly what I want in a person whom I entrust to come into my home to fix/replace something.

I had called several companies recommended to me - Paul the Plumber was on that list. What set him apart in the beginning was his suggestion, on his website, to send him pictures of the issue at hand. This offers a customer an immediate connection - a real way to be ""seen"", and the problem validated.

He makes communication easy via email/text/call.

Paul is professional, smart, friendly, fair-priced, and efficient. He helped me through the entire process of getting a new water heater and getting rid of the old one. He also answered my questions about fixing/replacing a toilet - never once pushing on me brands out of my price range that I really didn't need. His knowledge of brands/features/stores to search saved me hours of time as I tend to overthink/research such things. I hired Paul to come back to install the toilet!

It's been a few weeks - both items are working GREAT! :D

It was surely a bummer to have had to make large purchases after buying this condo only 2.5 years ago ... and I am sure there will be more opportunities for me to use Paul the Plumber's expertise -- that's the good and bad new all in one lol.

I woke up this morning to water running out of the cupboard under my sink onto the floor. I opened the cupboards to find a leak. I called Paul and through our conversation and a few photos, we were able to figure out we needed a new faucet. He said he could come by tomorrow but ended up calling a couple hours later cause he happened to be in the neighborhood. Not only did he come by with a replacement faucet that works and looks great, but he also found a leaky shutoff valve that he was able to replace on the spot. He also tightened the lines and some pipes that were loose. He saved us so much time and stress today, and we couldn't be more thankful! He was super nice too. I would definitely recommend Paul the plumber!

I had found Paul recommended through the neighborhood app Nextdoor. I had some pipes flagged during a home inspection and so I reached out to him. Paul called me and walked me through how to clean my pipes and what to look for to make sure it wasn't something more serious. The pipes cleaned up great! I can not recommend him enough. He saved me having another person in my house during COVID, along with possibly having someone lie to me and charge me to fix all my pipes. I appreciate his honesty and his ability to walk someone who has zero knowledge of plumbing on how to properly clean their pipes.

Paul was excellent! Called him on Thursday, he picked up on the first try. Was able to provide a quote fairly quickly, and offered some near-term availabilities. We were pretty sensitive about COVID, and Paul was willing to accommodate us by making us his first customers for the day.

As a one-man crew, he was able to get a water heater replaced in ~1 hour, which was incredible. Would definitely use him again for any other plumbing services.

I had a leak under the kitchen sink & the repair was pretty simple & he only charged the service fee.

I wish all contractors operated like he does!

Clearly he does great work from the reviews! Which is why I called him. He asked me to send him a pic of the issue with my address. So I did that and then got a call from another plumbing co saying he forwarded my info to them. Unfortunately I had an awful experience with the plumbing co he sent my into to in the past so I never called them.

I'm not sure why he couldn't help me with my leaky sink because he never responded to me or told me he was going to refer it out to another company but a little heads up would have been nice!

Had a very good experience with Paul today.. he figured out an issue with an external spigot in minutes and instead of it needing to be replaced, Paul was able to fix the problem in under 10 minutes. I also double paid electronically by mistake and he refunded the extra payment immediately. All in all great experience. Would definitely use his service again!
