Had to shut off the water to the house and that's hard with everyone WFH and kids remote learning!
He provided us two options and went to work.
Both options secured a long term solution vs patch work. All was done in an hour and we had our water back!

I had an issue with a couple of faucets making noise when they are on. Over e-mail, without even stopping by to see what the issue is or ask for any details he asked for $195 just to stop by. When I replied inquiring for details, he ghosted. I just called him on the phone, he was abrupt and when he realized it was the same job I emailed him about he told me that he does not want to do the job.

Ivan is the best. My water heater started leaking Friday night, so I called Ivan the next morning. Thankfully he was available, and at 9AM Saturday morning he was at my house. Two hours later he installed a new water heater, and best of all his workmanship was stupendous. Ivan gets my very highest recommendations.

When it rains, it pours. Luckily for me, I found Patterson Plumbing last week to fix my outdoor leak. This week, my 16 year old water heater died and had a slow leak. Ivan responded promptly to my query through their website and was onsite within the hour. He was very patient as we discussed the various options in detail since I was considering a switch to a tankless water heater. Ivan answered all of my questions after checking out my current setup and situation without any semblance of pushing me in any one direction. After discussion and taking some time to think about it, I decided to stick with a tank water heater and he completed the job the same day in less than 3 hours. As much as I like Ivan's work, I hope plumbing issues don't come in threes and I don't have to see him again for a long time. :) But if I do ever have another plumbing issue, I'll be calling on him again for sure.

Today's service was unfortunate. Pleasantly scheduled an appointment for between 11:30 - 12:00. Ivan called ~ 45:00 minutes early to let me know he was planning to show up early. He probably showed up 20:00 minutes early and left. I missed the call and his early arrival. I called him at 11:30 to see what was going on, There was no answer (I left a message). I called several times more throughout the day, no answers. I left messages asking to be called back, no return calls.

Don't know, he may be a good plumber, but he probably jumped on what he thought was a better deal when I missed his early arrival. I find this to be disappointing. I was hoping to reschedule. I guess I need to find another plumber.

Ivan was great from the moment I reached out. I can't speak more highly of his professionalism, honesty, safety (he wore a mask), and punctuality! What a great find, I'll definitely be calling him with any other plumbing needs in the future!

The Backstory:
I needed some kitchen sink plumbing repairs before a new dishwasher could be installed. He talked me through the process over the phone and was able to come to the house later that day to make the repairs. I was so impressed over the phone, that I cancelled another plumbing company that I had already scheduled to do the work!

His work was exactly like he explained on the phone and the repairs were made quickly and with a nice walk-through afterwards to show me his work. During the process, he also pointed out that our house's water shut off valve was old, wouldn't close entirely, and was on the verge of breaking. He let me know how to coordinate with Los Altos City Water (since the street meter needed to be closed before he could change it out) and was able to come back the next morning (the soonest the city could shut off the water) to make the replacement. Again, super grateful for finding him!
