Is this place under different management? I originally used this company because of an excellent rating..... But now I'm getting horrible customer service, and no response whatsoever for an emergency problem. I came back to Yelp, and now I see so many recent one-star reviews..... This is alarming.
Tyler L.UPDATE: So Patrick Riley did come through and the A/C is up and running just fine. They found some wires touching metal on the outside A/C unit that was done from their previous tech. But they corrected it and gave us the refund from the previous service like they promised. So in the end, they did come through and we truly appreciate it.
We have had Patrick Riley come out 3 times for the same issue. There was a short somewhere in the A/C system that would make it so the A/C wouldn't turn on. Last time they were here about two weeks ago, they charged me over $400 to ""Fix"" the short they said they found. Well it worked for about 2 weeks and wouldn't you know it, once again the A/C won't turn on. I mean this will be the 4th time they have come out to fix the same thing! So including each time they have been here to attempt to fix it, I have been charged over $700 for something they can't seem to fix! UNACCEPTABLE! Waiting for a call back from them to figure out when they can come out. How much will it take for them to fix it correctly!?
I had a repairman at my house today to check our units. They are both older units and we were aware that there were a few problems. We were not aware of everything that was pointed out to us. We were not sure if we wanted to just fix our units for now or replace our units completely, it's a big decision. The pressure sale was on to do something today. When we decided not to act today and think about it there was irritation in My repairmans demeanor. On top of that I'm not sure how it happened but my vents have been blowing out insulation all over my house since he was here, I've never had that happen before with any other company that has been to my house. I'm very disappointed. When we decide to do something with our units it won't be with Patrick Riley.
Will B.Do yourself a favor and shop around. Patrick Riley is incredibly over priced. They gave me a quote on what needed to be done. They were $700 higher than what is reasonable and customary. I asked why they were so high priced and their answer was because ""we stand behind our work."" There are several other reputable AC companies out there. Due your due diligence and dont use this high priced company
Be S.Beware of the Sale-person name FRANK WHO WE DEALED with. He was rude and aggressive, did not represent a good working relationship. He was not reliable, promises without keeping it or follow through. If you get him, turn him away, then call back to get someone else, this guy name FREDDY is not bad, seems better. But no FRANK, bad taste in my mouth. He also can give you a very unreasonable quote and if you discuss pricing that when he got all uptight, your hard earned $ got to to discuss fair price, PATRICK RILEY, our first time hiring company. Will think twice the next time around.
Hainy S.My AC Unit was improperly installed which caused my roof decking to sag inside my roof. I had called Patrick Riley Company to inform them of the problem and to see if they could come and fix it which they did. I would have given them a 5 star except for the fact that the roofer they assigned to fix the area of my roof that was affected by the AC unit, did a horrible job and the amount of work and hours that was done was not worth the money that was paid. My only suggestion would be to assign professionals who can go out and does work that reflect the kind of company Mr. Riley has and not someone who does a horrible job. Other than my bad experience with the roofer, I can honestly say that Mr. Patrick Riley and his crew care about their customers.
Mike S.I contacted Patrick Riley on Friday afternoon and they showed up on Saturday morning as scheduled. Cody Kyle was the technician that they sent and we couldn't be happier. He was neat, clean and did a fantastic job. Will definitely be using them for any future work
David W.I had a repair job of a half inch copper line that needed to be braised and the line evacuated. They said they couldn't do it.
M F.Patrick Riley offered a free AC inspection if the unit was 10 years or older. Given the age of the home it seemed that would work.
Ryan, was late and also failed to call ahead as requested. Apparently, the company sent an East valley tech instead of a local tech.
Ryan determined that the AC was not covered by their offer but did not inform me. He waited until after connecting a tester which allowed lot of freon to escape. He tried to connect twice releasing freon each time, then switched to a different connector which released a third cloud of freon when he disconnected.
Ryan was a friendly guy so it took me a few minutes to realize the import of what I had witnessed.
It appeared to me that by removing my freon he was creating a situation where a service call was then inevitable.
I contacted the dispatch number and explained the situation to Candy. She suggested discussing the matter with a supervisor but Patrick was not available.
So far no return call from anyone.
I do not recommend doing business with Patrick Riley.
Service was fast but we feel they were dishonest and unfair in the pricing. Our AC unit was not cooling all the way. They (CJ) changed 4 parts and spent 45 minutes at our place. We searched online the cost of each replaced part and found them to be about $40 each. They charged us a total of $1408 for parts and labor. This is price-gouging! It is unethical and wrong.
