Pat O'Neil rather quickly figured out a very complicated leak prob we'd had for over 20 years. We had consulted many experienced plumbers who did not figure it out. Pat's work is so good that it's sometimes hard to get a quick appointment, and we were determined to finally get this prob solved now that we had a proper diagnosis. I couldn't believe it when Pat gave me the phone number of an experienced, smart handyman who could do the work sooner. He took the expert's diagnosis and ran with it. He charged more than most handymen but less than a plumber. Anyway, I really appreciate Pat's expertise, intelligence, honesty, helpfulness, and friendly demeanor, a community treasure! Yes, as good as it gets!

We had an issue with low water pressure in the shower, coupled with a hot water issue. Pat returned my call in a day and we scheduled a time for her to come by in Berkeley. She was prompt, friendly and brought her tools, fixing the issue in 1.5 hours.

The previous plumber who came to look at the problem gave an estimate for thousands of dollars of pipe replacement work, and I really appreciate Pat's patient approach to troubleshooting the problem for much much less. She even taught us a thing or two about how basic water and plumbing works in a house.

Super grateful that we found Pat on Nextdoor and wanted to confirm our satisfaction with her work as a plumbing contractor in Berkeley!

Not only did Pat recommend the best faucet for my sink, she was on time, installed it, cleaned up and we had a few laughs to boot.
And get this! She sent a hand-written note (remember those) thanking me for my business.

One word of caution-Pat doesn't have a smart phone so messages are on her Yelp site.

She's a no-nonsense get it done gal with a terrific sense of humor!

Good reviews / Terrible reviews. Disparity galore on this one. Beware massive differentiation in reviews: I've found it's a great signifier of general inconsistency in service / product.

My experience was simple. I sent an email seeking support on a plumbing question. I got back ""very booked"".

O.K....That's good for business, except not good if you want people to remember you next time support is needed and you aren't so booked.

I left an initial message for Pat and she returned my call within an hour, and scheduled us for a free estimate the next day. She gave us an estimate on the amount of time it would take to do the job, and came in very close to that number. She's busy, but it wasn't too difficult to get on her calendar. Plumbers aren't cheap, but when it comes to gas and water lines that's not an area I'd want to cut corners in. Pat was pleasant to work with and so far our new gas bbq and faucets are working great. Would use her again for any plumbing issues in the future.

I agree with those who say, if your phone calls aren't returned, it doesn't matter how good she is. Rude? Arrogant? Some other reason? I don't know but a simple returned phone call isn't that hard. Pat, if you don't want to do the job, just say so. But don't leave people hanging.

I had Pat work on a sump pump replacement. I had one of the other well rated plumbers give me a quote and Pat's was a much better price. Unfortunately, my pump required a special order which took longer than originally expected. But Pat went out of her way to put a temporary fix in place then came back and put in the correct one when the pump came in. She didn't charge me extra, and she was very pleasant to work with. She did good quality work at a good price. I would definitely use her again.

I've never had a plumber send me a thank you card after a job was done. Not only was Pat O'Neil an absolute delight, she stood by her work by coming back to our home after we noticed a leak in our kitchen. She came into our home with good energy and the calmness of a true professional. If ever we need future plumbing work, we will be sure to call Pat first.

Pat O'Neill is an excellent plumber! Not only is she extremely knowledgeable, fast and clean, but because she is a very nice woman, I felt very safe about her working in my home with my wife and child alone with her. (I was running late and could not be there when she started.)

Pat came to my home prepared with all the most durable supplies needed to efficiently rebuild the rotten and leaking P-trap under our kitchen sink. She diligently replaced all parts that looked frail. (Sadly, the trap should have been replaced a few months ago by other plumbers who had put it back together while replacing our disposal unit.) When she finished with the trap, she was able to replace some gaskets in the faucet, which subsequently fixed the whistling sound it had been making for the past year or so. Yippee! Then she wiped everything down with some heavy duty wipes, and our sink was cleaner than it was before she showed up. Super cool. Thank you Pat!

When I opened the door to my home Pat greeted me with a warm and friendly face. She was courteous to my son and my aunt who happened to be at home at the time.
I felt very comfortable with her right away.

I led her to the kitchen where the plumbing problems were and she immediately got to work. She assessed the situation quickly, determined what she needed to do to get it fixed, and worked diligently to get it done.

Pat was knowledgeable, courteous, and efficient. She even noticed another issue that would have soon turned into a leak and fixed that as well. Her price was reasonable too.

My family has found our new plumber. She is the one we'll call if we ever have plumbing issues in the future!
