Finding a plumber is tough business, but I wanted to write a note about Pat as she gave exceptional service. Had 2 leaking toilets, Toto corp HQ was no help. Pat came in early on Saturday morning, knew exactly how to diagnose both, gave an effective, and cost effective recommendation, did the job, cleaned up 100%, reasonable rate. She's now my go-to plumber.
M T.I love my plumber!!!!
What a delight to have a water based emergency (or not, maybe just a task) that needs to be taken care of, make one phone call, have that phone call RETURNED(!!!), and be greeted in the next couple of days by Pat O'Neill and a truck full of wrenches.
Seriously, Pat is the best plumber I have dealt with. And let me tell you, I've dealt with a few. Not surly, not overly dramatic, but skilled, competent, and quite likeable.
My first experience with Pat O'Neill plumbing was when I had a leaky toilet valve. I probably could have fixed this myself, but didn't have the confidence so I called Pat. I got a return call, and an appointment for the very next morning, which was great. Pat showed up, took a look at it and fixed it right on the spot without making me feel sheepish about such a small job. And THEN....went on to check around the whole house for other leaks or little plumbing things to fix, fixed my sink, the other toilet, and filled in a chipped tank.
Was all this excellent service expensive? Not at all....
My next experience with Pat O'Neill plumbing - I had a sink and garbage disposal that needed to be hooked up after a refinishing project. Pat showed right up again, did the job, and even went and picked up parts in rush hour traffic just to get the job done that day so I could have a working sink after 5 days of making tea in the bathroom.
Thanks Pat! you are the best plumber in town. Six stars if i could.
Call, call, call you won't be disappointed.
I just had Pat fix 4 plumbing problems in my home. She was neat, fast, efficient, skillful and a pleasure to work with. Pat was very knowledgeable and she had all the numerous parts she needed with her so there was no running back and forth to the hardware store. I will definitely call her again when I have plumbing problems in the future
Michael S.Adding to my original post: I had a leaky faucet and a few on the edge. Rather than spend my weekend attempting to repair, many trips to the hardware store, marring the fixtures, I called Pat.
She was on time, efficient, and no more leaks. The best part was I kept on working at my job! She is great to have around because she gets I am trying to work.
Pat recently put in a new gas line to accomodate the conversion from an electric to gas stove top. She did an amazing job - quality work, full explanations along the way to make sure we understood what she was doing and why; she was very efficient, organized, and accomodated the contractor's schedule. She also put in an emergency earthquake shut off valve, and did some additional plumbing under the sink - all at a very reasonable price. I would highly recommed Pat for any of your plumbing needs. And, we easily passed the plumbing inspection today!
Les T.About 6 months ago I called Pat needing some help. While my handyman skills have minimally improved since we bought our first home, my plumbing skills have regressed. Since I've never had any to begin with, getting worse was pretty easy.
Pat was responsive and returned the call the same day. Polite, courteous and intelligently inquisitive on the phone about our problem. She acquired the necessary info, including a request of me sending a text pic of the leaky shower faucet. She immediately gave me the impression that she was skilled, intelligent and understood the problem.
She came on a Saturday, which was not in her normal schedule. This was terrific and much appreciated. My wife ( and I ) we're thrilled.
Excellent job repairing the shower faucet / 'on' lever. Also presented us with different options for replacement in the future, since the lever was not well made to begin with. Recommended we replace the part ( cheaper option) for now, and consider a more detailed (and expensive) replacement later.
She was also brilliant in fixing a leaky laundry spigot ( the our handyman couldn't fix ) as well as a leaky hose bib in backyard. She paid close attention to detail and made sure that everything was sealed, non dripping, and working properly.
Oh! And she's also friendly with dogs and babies although her skills stand well on their own.
We plan on hiring her again in the future to replace our hot H2O heater. She's wonderful and look forward to hiring her again. Thank you Pat!
I'm sorry to say that we had a dreadful experience with this plumber. Our next door neighbor in our duplex complained about the noise from our kitchen sink, so we called Pat to fix it. My wife suggested to her that the hot-water faucet had a little hitch. Pat didn't think that was responsible for the noise, but she started with that, saying a new washer could help. Two hours later, she reported that she broke the faucet and couldn't put it back together. She gave us two options: get a whole new faucet or hire another plumber. No apology. No sympathy. Nothing.
She left us with little choice, because we had family coming over for Christmas dinner and so we had to have a working faucet in the kitchen. She suggested a certain model and offered to go get it and install it, which she did. The bill was $500 (parts and labor) and the faucet is, frankly, ugly. She then took our old faucet with her, without asking whether we wanted it (we did, to see if someone else could fix it).
So, we called her to fix a simple noise problem and she broke our faucet without apologizing and then charged us for the labor (i.e. her incompetence). $500 wasted.
I see that others have had better luck with this plumber, but from my experience, I would warn you to stay away. She broke our faucet and to top it off, she was rude about it.
Pat did a a fair amount of plumbing on a major remodel for our home replacing all the plumbing for the bathroom, hot water heater - all the way to the sewer lateral. She was a pleasure to work with and did quality work. Her estimate was in line with other plumbers we spoke with, but Pat was much more willing to take the time to explain all the work she was doing, the parts needed, etc. Her time frame was a little longer as she works on her own, but it meant there were no sloppy short cuts and you always knew who was in your home. She even sent a thank you card after the project was done. We wouldn't hesitate to contact her again.
Jennise M.We've had several plumbers in the past, but once I introduced Pat to my husband, we looked no further! She is patient and very professional. She has a way of calming us down while our hearts are pounding fast because of our plumbing problem(s). She comes in and just gets the job done. The best part is - she cleans up after herself. My husband can do many things around the house, but plumbing is not his comfort zone. Living in a house that is over 50 years old, we run into plumbing problems. I think the worst was when my husband and I went into our basement and noticed one of our pipes acting like a shower - not good. We called Pat and she came out and fixed it. She's re-piped most of our plumbing and continues to help us. Her rates are reasonable. I would highly recommend Pat O'Neill for your plumbing problems.
I called Pat to come service our house, and she called back pretty quickly on Monday morning. Unfortunately, she is booked, but she did listen to me describe our plumbing issue and did give me a recommendation. I thought she was very considerate. No wonder she is so busy! If I had other plumbing needs, I will try to get her first, before using someone else. Thank you.
