Horrible experience do your research before you use them. Homedepot set up a visit with parker & Son for an install price for a water heater

Joseph shows up to my home. I open the door, he introduces himself. He asked me if I wanted him to wear a mask. When I was told they would show up in a mask and shoe coverings guess not. I told him no since he was already at the door, To come in and give me a price.

After 10 minutes or so looking at my water heater and asking questions. The prices begin and of course he started with the most expensive. When I was interested in the most expensive and questioning why things got added for example ( a thermal expansion tank) I was told its mandatory. I found out later on from another plumbing company it was not.

When Joe realizes he was not going to up sell me, I made it clear that I will be returning to homedepot to make my purchase. He started to bad mouth homedepot. How he hears about the poor customer service they provide along with false information. Also that the pricing that he is giving me, that information doesn't go to the store. After several minutes of back and forth arguing. I asked him to leave my home and I will work with homedepot thank you. As joe walks out he said good luck with your problem and laughed.

Do your homework when it comes to Parker and Son they are crooks, they are not following CDC guidelines or safe practices, customer service is horrible. Like joe told me GOOD LUCK IF YOU USE THEM.

Called for a small leak repair. In the process they ran their camera in the sewer line and then said there was a hole in the line. Quote to repair was $12,700.
I decided to get other quotes. Got two estimates. One ran his camera into the line (for free) and said, he couldn't find a hole. Both said, ""if it ain't broke, don't fix"". But they both gave me quotes to replace the line: one $3,800 and the other $4,000.
Parker and Sons - honesty and price gouging are not good business practices. I won't ever call Parker and Sons again.

I used Parker and Sons to install two reverse osmosis systems as well as a water refinement system. With my water refinement system they recommended that I replace my hot water heater, which at the time was working perfectly. Now here we are 27 months after installation and my water heater breaks. They come out and are quoting me $700 to replace a 27 month old hot water heater, that they recommended me replace my already working hot water heater with. They also told me when I purchased a $6000 water refinement system that they would come out and move at no cost whenever we move, well that was not the case and they charged me $800 to move my system 3 miles to my new house which already had an r/o system installed. I will never do business with them again.

I needed a gas line run to a new barbecue island I was having installed. Called several plumbers. Some got back to me, some didn't.

The gentleman that came to my home from Parker and Sons to give me an estimate, was pleasant, cordial, businesslike and efficient. He provided an estimate while he was still at my home and I told him I'd get back to him. We ultimately used Parker and Sons and the same person (Steve) did the work, came to meet the inspector as the job had to have a city permit and backfilled the excavation after city approval was obtained. He did all the work start to finish. Steve always called or texted regarding appointments for which he was always on time, was always well mannered and respectful. I'm a new resident of Scottsdale, but will always call Parker and Sons for any plumbing matters I may have. Importantly, their price was competitive as well and lower than some of the others.

By comparison, the person from another company that came to give me an estimate was rude, critical of several items about the bbq island which had nothing to do with plumbing and wanted to charge me over $150 for the estimate. I of course refused to pay. He left. I wont be calling them back any time soon.

Parker and Sons is the way to go!!!!

Just like the commercials, they had a repair man out to my home in no time!! I had actually called the contractor who initially installed our AC unit Chaz Roberts who told me that their first emergency repair appointment was in ten days!!! Are you kidding me?? I will use Parker and Sons for all future repairs! And remember, there won't be no Melvins on the job!

I'm going to leave a negative review and I can tell you right now, judging from past negative reviews for these jokers, you're going to see a canned response from them replying to me that says something like:

Hello Scott! We can't find a record for you because of one of the following reasons:

a) you are using an alias on Yelp
b) your spouse booked the call
c) you did not book a call with us
d) something got lost in the matrix

So, I'll tell all of your right now that my spouse booked the call and she is the one who set up the estimate for this business. Not me. I am not using an alias on Yelp. This is my real name. I am a Yelp Elite member and this is my real profile. Yes, my wife booked the estimate. No, I did not book the call. My wife did. Nothing got ""lost in the matrix"". Any viable business that needs to use the word ""matrix"" as an excuse as to why they're receiving a negative review, well, common sense should prevail to you as the consumer.

We asked them to give us an estimate on a water heater replacement and an estimate for a water softener. Let's start with the water softener nerd first, shall we? This dude comes out to our house last Friday and we're expecting him like any normal business to give us some literature, see that our house is barely 1,300 sq. feet and write us a quick estimate. Nope. The dude tells us WHY we need a water softener (we're in Arizona, genuis. We called you because we KNOW we need a water softener). He goes into the history of the water quality here in Arizona, discusses the water process in the city of Phoenix and basically proceeds to write a book for my wife and I. 90-minutes later, we finally had to interrupt this dude and tell him we did not expect a slideshow and Powerpoint presentation on the molecular structure of the water quality in Phoenix. Tell us the dollar figure and GTFO. He spouted off some bullshit answer of $8,200 and after basically laughing in his ass, we escorted him out our front door. Horrible waste of our time and his.

Called (3) other viable businesses here in Arizona. Got three QUICK estimates for water softener systems and are having one installed next week which is basically 70% cheaper than these losers.

Next, they were supposed to be here two weeks ago to do an estimate for our water heater replacement. We got the typical bullshit time estimate between 10a - 2p. 20-minutes to 2 o'clock the dude calls and says he's not coming. LOLOLOL. We re-schedule for last week. He finally waddles up the driveway and looks at our water heater and says the whole thing is ""out of code"". He says in order to replace it, he would need to install a bunch of other bullshit like pour a new foundation and install a new roof and add on another bedroom to our home in order to get this water heater replaced. He quoted us $3,000. LOLOLOLOL.

First of all, we just bought this house three years ago and since we had one of the top, most prominent home inspectors in the Valley do our home inspection, I would think he would have mentioned the fact that ""our entire water heater system is out of code.""

So just for shits and giggles, I called our home inspector back to our house since he lives near by and got two other water heater estimates from other viable businesses here in the Valley. I told the home inspector that Parker & Sons said the whole water heater system is out of code. He quite literally laughed out loud and said that he's heard nothing but horrible things about their shady business practices and has no idea what they're talking about. He assured me no part of our water heater system is ""out of code"". I thanked him for his time and assumed that was the case.

Next, we had two other local business come out and give us estimates to have our water heater replaced. We got a Rheem PRO with a 9-year warranty installed yesterday by a local business for $985. LOLOLOL. It was installed the same way and I have a contract and written receipt indicating nothing is ""out of code"".

If you want to get ripped off and love having your time wasted, by all means - call Parker & Sons. It sounds like they're the right business for the job! So glad we didn't use them. Our peace of mind and bank account is so much happier!

This has been the WORST experience of my life. My air had been broken since 5/6/21 and it is currently degrees in my home. I called them on 5/6/21 at 1pm. I was assured someone would be out as soon as possible. 8pm rolled around and I have to call again to get someone dispatched. Finally Leo gets here and DOESNT even bother to come in my home and says ""I can't help you I need a ladder"" I said, can you check the condensation drain pump it's inside my condo you don't need a ladder. He said ""it's not that."" I said you guys fixed that pump not even 8 months ago. Can you check it. Leo said, ""I know you're wrong. That's not it."" I just shut the door on him since he was useless. So the manager calls me around 8am on 5/7/21 and apologizes asks me to give them one more chance for a 20% discount and ""real good technicians who will make you a priority."" I was given the time frame of 2-6pm. So I left work to come wait. By 6:30 pm I called them again and was told ""we don't have 2 techs that can be out tonight but we can see you tomorrow."" I explained the whole story and he said ""nothing I can do but I'll give you 10% off."" And then told me that I could have a new time for tomorrow 5/8/21. I have work and I can't be here and he said ""get someone else to come or don't go in to work."" I just hung up. I will NEVER use this company again. They're not worth anything.

Thieves! The technician looked at the unit and told me I needed a new condenser motor without checking any wiring or fuses. Cost was going to be $1500 (absurdly high for a condenser motor). Got a second opinion and all I needed was a new fuse. Don't trust them.

They are friendly and all that, but incompetent and overcharge. My ac was not cooling and their couldn't locate the leak, saying they need a test that costs $600. When I called another company for a second opinion they said the cables of the unit were eaten by rodents. How can Parker and Sons not be able to detect such an obvious problem?
I called the company and they refunded me for the visit. However, I still have a hard time trusting them now.
