I contacted customer service early Saturday morning requesting service for my daughters ac unit which was not working. The lady who answered the phone took my information and I was told that a tech may be able to come out later that day, worse case between 8am & 10am the next day. Obviously not ideal but I did realize they we were in a heat wave and there are others with issues. I hadn't heard anything by 5pm on Saturday afternoon so once again I called to see if it was still a possibility a tech would be out that day. The gentleman looked up my info and informed me that I was on a wait list and if someone cancelled then I would get service. When I inquired about someone coming out on Sunday as previously promised he stated that I would still be on a wait list on Sunday also and it might be Monday until a tech is available. Of course this caught me off guard. I wasted all day waiting for Parker and Sons to come out when the person on the phone should have been honest and told me from the beginning that it wouldn't be until Monday. I could have been trying to contact one of the other service companies instead of scrambling to find someone on a weekend evening. This is not how you treat customers. I called Penguin Air and they came out in less than 5 hours on a Saturday evening and repaired the issue quickly.

As you read this review, I want you to make your own conclusion. I will provide facts only and leave emotion out of it.

We made the appointment through Home Depot for Parker & Sons to come out and inspect our system. Our system was on borrowed time as we are currently in 2023 and the system in our home was the original from 1998. When they say, ""You can't stop a Trane from running,"" they are telling the truth. I was worried about the recent heat wave and figured it was time. We had good luck and experiences using Home Depot for things before, but this service may have soured the relationship.

We were quoted over the phone for an $89.00 inspection fee. The two trucks showed up. Both gentlemen were dressed well and clean. I will not share their names. One gentleman was the more experienced of the two and directed the other man on what to do.

They started in the attic and opened the system. They made note it was probably time to look at redoing the insulation. After upstairs, they headed to the condenser outside and proceeded to open the unit and perform their tasks.

After all was said and done, they returned to tell us of their findings and recommendations. To keep the current system up and running would cost about $2500. Keep in mind this was for ""everything"" that was needed or eventually needed. About $1000 of this total would cover 2 pounds of Freon. (You can always shop around for lower prices.)

That being said, we proceeded to set up a time for a sales rep to come out and price out new systems. They ended up not charging us the inspection fee.

Over the next day or so, we noticed the system was no longer cooling the house to 79. Between the hours of 2pm and 10pm, the house would warm between 85-87 degrees.

The night prior to the sales rep's visit, I called the office and told them to cancel. When they inquired as to why, I told them what happened and lost trust in the company. The customer service rep asked what they could do to make it right. Upset at the time, I said I would send them my electric bill or the bill from the other company that would have to end up fixing it. She took the notes and said she would pass it on to her superiors. Needless to say, that was a week ago and I have to hear from them to make a goodwill attempt.

We ended up finding another company to go with and they are set to install this coming Tuesday.

Again, we knew our single stage system was on borrowed time, but it still worked.

professionalism in every phase of their work. we were so impressed. truly believe we received the best quality and price for our home. we did a lot of research and decided to go with Parker and Sons and can honestly say this time we got it right. not only that, but the crew also started at 7 am and finished at 7 pm same day. replaced an entire system with 5 ton and 3-ton unit and all the fixings. multiple crews working in sync with each other. it was pretty impressive to watch.

I wish yelp had a zero-star review option. Parker and Sons were great when we purchased our AC units 11 years ago. For the past 5 to 6 years, it has been a constant hard sell on unneeded equipment and repairs. Why we kept their maintenance service all this time I have no idea, but this week was the last straw. The tech (aka salesman) said that at a bare minimum we needed thousands in repairs and that we would be better off getting new units. The units were working just fine by the way; we were just late getting our annual summer ""maintenance"" done.

Found a great independent licensed AC guy here on yelp and he did the EXACT same bare minimum repair for 1/4 the quoted cost. I'm mean really???? And absolutely no need for the even more costly repair Parker and Sons wanted to do or new units.

We needed a new AC unit because our 20 year old unit was becoming unreliable. Home Depot was advertising AC units so we had them send someone out to give us a quote. We decided to use their contractor. This unit from Parker and Sons was installed December of 2022 and here we are in August of 2023 and it doesn't work. Not only does it not work and we have a service agreement and it is all under warranty, we can't get anyone from Parker and Sons out to fix the problem. There are no good AC companies in AZ but Parker and Sons is the worst. Shame on Home Depot for using them to install AC units or allowing them to rip off their customers.

This past June my A/C froze up. Called Parker and sons to come look at it/repair it. A service man named Richard showed up and sat in his truck for 45 mins eating his lunch. He finally came in to tell me I needed a part that he never identified and it was going to cost me 3800.00. This Richard wasn't even here for more then 5 mins. He stated without me purchasing this said part there was nothing he could do for me and left. I called DAL A/C they came right over and told me I needed to have it recharged. No part needed. The service guy did his magic and the price was so cheap. Beware of Parker and sons. Go to DAL A/C.

Had an appointment between 9am - 10am. Call them at 10am. Ask for an ETA. Was told them are running behind. The tech will call 30 before arrival. They did not call or show up at all. Went with a reliable company.

I noticed my AC wasn't blowing cool air around 12:30pm today - inside house temp was 85 but thermostat set at 78. I called Parker and Sons, by that time it had reached 90 in the house. The woman said she would consider it an emergency and they got someone right out, the technician arrived by 2:30. He was friendly, quick and straightforward with his communication. My unit is only 3 years old so still under warranty (a capacitor had gone bad) - he had it up and running in under an hour, for just the labor cost of $200! Very grateful to be going to sleep tonight in my house with an inside temp of 76 degrees. Thanks so much!

Parker and Son

I needed a plumber and all I got was ghosted. Made an appointment online, got my automated email confirmation and that was it. I never heard from them again. I called when I was at the end of my appointment time slot to ask if someone was still coming and the operator told me yes, you're on the list. I asked if there any estimated time they would come since it was past my appointment time and they said no telling, no idea, they will contact you when they are on their way.
Four hours past my appointment time had come and gone, and not one word. That is so bad on so many levels. I'm one and done-will not call or recommend this company again-but maybe if I want someone ghosted.
