Recommended Customer Reviews
I had a great experience with Pacific Coast Home Services (PCHS). The technician, Roy Albasri was very courteous and knowledgeable. He diligently diagnosed the issues and recommended a course of action. However, since I had appliance insurance I went with them instead of PCHS. I would without hesitation use them in the future and would definitely ask for Roy Albasri as the technician to do the job.
They quoted 1370.00 to clean out my drain. I instead went with a different company that charged me $245 for the same service. Tired of getting ripped off. Pure BS.
Called Pacific Coast Home Services for my Nest Thermostat Installation, as my heater/AC was a complex system and I couldn't make it work myself. I called Pacific Coast and gave me an appt the same day. Prior to the appt they even texted me the technician picture..this assured me additional security.
Two experts by name Luis Martinez and Roy came to my place very same day within the appt window and did an excellent install, that I was very impressed. They went thru' the basic issue, wiring problem and explained me in full details that I was able to easily understand.
They installed the 1st Nest after some minor wire reconnect. All looked ok, but when they tested they found out that our AC wasn't working - they went to AC in our backyard and found out that the wires cut. They took care of without any hesitation and made it work. Installation charge was very very reasonable.
I was very impressed with their excellent service & cost, I immediately asked them to install my 2nd Nest also which had the same issue. 2nd install was easier....
At the end of work, they did recommend cleaning & servicing my AC/Heater once a year and requested me to sign up for yearly membership but they weren't putting any pressure on me and no obligation. In fact, membership sounded reasonable and I had asked to send me the details over email.
Over all this is best Heater/AC service I had so far and won't mind contacting them again for my other services.
Kudos to Luis Martinez, Roy and Pacific Coast Home Services !!!!
My recommendation is not to use this company for any services at your home. Actually they should lose their license to operate in California.
The main issue is not the quality of the service or the technicians. I recently had an experience that felt like pure robbery. I contacted pacific to repair my garbage disposal unit. They came to the house ahead of schedule and the technician was very knowledgeable. My issue is he gave me a quote of $721 just to inspect the unit. I know nothing about this but I told him I thought it was insane. I was working with a packed agenda so I told him, go fix it (mistake #1) he went ahead and after trying to fix it to tell me this unit must be replaced and a new one would be almost 1500 dollars on top of what was already paid....Again not having a clue about how much this costs told him go ahead and clearly said I was discussed with the price. Replacement of the unit took the technician less than one hour and he left. Later that day I research the price of the unit it that was installed and it was $150!. I called Pacific to complaint, spoke with Ana and Juan, who even told me he thought I was double billed.
Two days later Carlos who apparently is the manager called me and said the best option is they would give me a protection plan (700 dollar value) in exchange of my credit. I told him I wanted cash and the best he could do was a $250 refund which he promised but I have not yet received. I am planning to file a complaint with the the authorities because no one should pay 2k to replace a garbage disposal unit !!
I had a 16 year old water heater that needed replacing. Robert Barajas was the tech that came to remove my old one and install the new one. He was very professional and answered all the questions I had. He made a very complicated job look easy. I'm very satisfied with his work.
I called for a backed up sewer line. It was really easy to get someone scheduled. Juan was sent out to my house, he was very knowledgeable and professional. He gave me a few options. I went with the one that I felt that suited my needs. The same day service was amazing. I will be using them in the future for my electrical needs as well and possible remodel of my kitchen. I highly recommend this company.
Joe C.This company came out and told me my leaking toilet was due to not having a wax gasket. They then charged me about $500 saying that it would fix the problem. I was not offered insurance nor was I told it wasn't insured. When the toilet leaked again I figured the problem hadn't been resolved so I called them again. They wanted to come back out and charge me another $500 to redo the gasket. I told them absolutely not as I think they should stand by their work and if there's still a problem after they said it would be fixed they should rectify the situation. They comped the follow-up and this time provided a die test to see if my toilet had a crack in it. They told me that it would actually an issue with my flange. They quoted me $3500, minus $500 for the first job, to fix the whole thing. I got a second quote from a different local plumbing company with a price of $500 to fix that exact same thing. This company is a place that will take advantage of people who do not understand plumbing issues. I recommend going somewhere else for your plumbing needs.
I would recommend Ernie's plumbing in Gilroy. They are a local family owned plumbing business and they were able to fix our problem for just a fraction of the cost of the Bay Area golddiggers society.

I would be extremely wary of this company.
I had two plumbers call out to my home to look at the shower which wasn't working. They were very knowledgeable and were able to diagnose the issue. The 1 star review reflects the quote I was given which is daylight robbery. They quoted me $8000 to replace a shower valve, 8 thousand. I was shocked when they said this and told them I would have to check with the landlord. I then google the price of a shower valve which is between $30-80, and then rang around a few others plumbers and got quoted between $500-900. I ended up paying $749 for the shower valve to be replaced by a different plumber. Madness.
We had a leaking Toto toilet.
Edgar came out, requested to inspect the crawl space. He told us that the 'flange' and subfloor needed to be cut out and replaced. He explained that it was never the seal but the flange that goes bad. The work would cost a mere $3,800.
My husband asked him to just replace the seal and reset the toilet. Edgar strongly advised against it but agreed to do it for $485. He was done in short order, collected the check and left.
When I came home and flushed the toilet I found that it leaked stronger than before.
The next day an honest plummer replaced and reset the toilet for $280 and there are no more leaks.
I need to add that we are both senior citizens and my husband is disabled with mobility problems.
If I could, I would give Edgar minus ten for not just conning us but sabotaging the fix because he didn't get $3,800.
I am not sure whether it was his greed or company policy, but Pacific Coast Home Services will not be on our go to place!
Clearing out a plugged toilet.
The service technician used an auger and after working on the plugged toilet he cleared it after about 15 minutes. Before he did this chalenging job, he had his assistant have me sign numerous contracts, the signing of which took about as long as clearing the pugged toilet.
The two technicians charged me $895. This is at least double what other services charge. I had no experience with this service and have checked other services who charge much less. In the end, he did the job contracted for, but charged too much.
