will never call them again, the owner is rude and they had to come out 3 times
to change a faucet and the guy who came out was Jay, could not do a good job and
it started leaking, ruining my granite because of the leak...just not a professional

Carlos showed up within 30 minutes and was a rock star.

He could not have been nicer or more helpful and most important, efficient.

I wouldn't call these guys. We waited two hours and then called for an ETA only to be told that the appointment has been canceled. I'm curious to know what would happen if we didn't call and if Oscar's would even bother to notify us. I'm especially livid / miffed / pissed / outraged / hulk angry given we took 3 hours off of work to accommodate Mr. Oscar.

I learned my lesson the hard way with this company. I called them from the reviews here on Yelp. They came to the house and were very friendly. It was Miguel and one other guy. I should have known as soon as they kept on repeating how they always try to help people and how honest they were.

Then the act started which was a bunch of up sell. A simple plumbing job to re set a toilet and fix a small leak that took less than 90 minutes total and about a $90 part they wanted $750 for! On top of that they tried to sell me on additional service that wasn't needed with dropping a camera down the clean out which I did not ask for and was no need for. Tried to sell me a service for $3000..

The act continues as soon as I'm not really wanting that. Miguel calls Oscar and the price drops on the added service but not the work they did and wanted $750 for.
I called another plumber at that point with them there and was told point blank 90 minutes of labor and a $90 part would come to no more than $300 if I was correct. Well I went to home depot and found the part for $70. I had no problem with the extra $20 they charged me for parts but the labor was obscene!

* The back and forth phone calls between Miguel and supposedly Oscar were about 5 calls altogether. Each time the price came down for the added service.

* Very important - I was quoted less than 1/2 by another company and told that service was not necessary for my home.

Bottom line is I do not recommend them!

It's so hard to find a plumber you can trust. I just found one. Oscar's Plumbing and Rooter. Their man Steve came to my house and was so thorough, friendly, expert and all around top notch. He put up with my endless questions, always ready to explain and demonstrate. The work he did was quick, professional, clean and just right. Thanks!

I first heard about OSCAR'S PLUMBING-ROOTER Service thru our Church, where they had done EXCELLENT (Emergency) Work + Regular Work); so I've had to use them for the past SEVERAL YRS in my ""older"" home on a Hill (w/lots of Roots). All their workmen are SUPERB, but STEVE is my PRIMARY OVERSEER & ""FIXER"". STEVE & his ""crew"" are always On Time, Personable, Answering ALL of my many Questions = taking time to explain practically Everything, since I've had to pay them Thousands of Dollars for more than 1 Extra-MAJOR-Job - - -but, it's been worth every Dollar. The ""main' Owner/Boss always comes by; so, this Sr. Citizen feels well ""taken-care-of"". If U need the VERY BEST PLUMBING-ROOTER Job done, please be sure to call these EXPERTS. Jenny in their office is most cooperative in every way & STEVE (& his ""team"") are Most Efficient = making a ""dirty"" job Pleasant. (Most RECENTLY, they LINED 108' OF Sewer Line w/the BEST Impervious Epoxy/Fiberglass Lining; guaranteed for 10 yrs+ = Showing me Video of said Sewer-Line BEFORE & AFTER. Miguel absolutely worked his butt off on my problems at home - suffice it to say I had a major backup! He went above and beyond the call of duty and used everything he had to solve it! The best!

Coincidentally, the same day we discovered a problem we drove past a truck on the freeway for Oscar's Plumbing & Rooter Service, I took down the number and called them on Monday. I spoke with Oscar about what seemed to be the issue, he was very clear and informative. They were willing to come out that same day but, nobody would be home so I scheduled an appointment for the next morning.

They thoroughly checked the entire house and the simple rooting issue we thought we had turned out to be a partial main drain replacement. The gentlemen that came out, Steve and Gil, were also very clear and detailed about what they'd be doing, what they found, and the expense. I wasn't home, so after explaining everything to my husband, Steve also got on the phone with me and re-explained everything to me and answered all of my questions.

It was a two day job, all the prep work was done the first day and when I came home in the evening was pleased to see how orderly and clean the work was being done. Tarps were laid out below the piles of dirt, the deep holes were covered so nobody would fall in, a bright orange cone was set out, and all my potted plants had been neatly moved. And, our trash bins had been brought in!

I got to meet the guys in person at the end of the second day. Again, Steve showed me the various things he'd done, re-explained it all, and answered some more questions. Everything had been put back in place. They were honest and upfront, respectful, informative, orderly, and thorough. We'll definitely be keeping their card and calling them for any future needs (which I hope doesn't happen soon) - and asking for Steve.

First time customer of Oscar's Plumbing and Rooter. Our plumber, Steve, was awesome! This was a weekend so the on-call rate was considerable, but affordable and he arrived within an hour of my call. Steve was quick, responsive, informative and highly knowledgable. Also, he expertly cleaned everything up. I will definately recommend Oscar's to anyone seeking efficient and effective plumbing services!

Second time using Oscar's Plumbing and Rooter Service where I work and really pleased!

Jenny the dispatcher keeps us informed of whether or not the plumber is on schedule and headed our way (from the Valley to Santa Monica so you know how that goes with traffic).

Miguel is the type of plumber and person who makes it worth it to go with a smaller company vs a big one. He like other reviewers have said was honest, friendly, knowledgeable and prepared!

He brought with him extra parts just in case and ended up using them in the replacement of our leaky sink faucet in our kitchen. He took a look at issues with the plumbing and sinks in our men and womens room as well.

From start to finish Miguel worked efficiently and had a pleasant demeanor about him. It is so refreshing because most people kind of hate their jobs but you can tell he takes pride in his work and hopefully the team at Oscars rewards him for his great customer service and mastery of his craft!

They include a sheet of why they charge what they charge (which is not cheap by any means but is all legitimate costs for parts and labor). Oscar's has a good team of 3 plumbers but ask for Miguel he is the best!
