BEWARE!!!! They have competitive prices but shoddy work that will cost you more in the long run. The plumber left behind a leak which led to mold. We notified O'Quinns, and the plumber came out and repaired the shoddy work attempting to lay blame on the filter, when the leak did not originate in the filter. When pressed the plumber asked us to contact the owner regarding the damage caused by the shoddy work. When we contacted the company, the owner, Wes, was extremely rude, stated he was busy with meetings, and asked me to email him before hanging up on me mid sentence. I emailed him the below email two weeks ago, and still no response. The plumber made a mistake, and the owner has no concept of responsibility, business ethics, or customer service. BEWARE!!!
Wes,
Please find attached a picture of the leak which resulted
from O'Quinn's plumbers workmanship. The source of the leak is the white
pipe, not the the filter or any of its components. The plumber didn't
check for leaks properly or seal it thoroughly. This oversight resulted
in a leak that has built up and lead to mold growth as is visible in the
picture attached. This is very concerning, especially since we have
small children. As of today, we have received one estimate of $1650 to
repair the damages caused by O'Quinn's . Please do the right thing and
repair the damage caused by O'Quinns plumber. As I have stated
previously, we have small children, the damages caused by Q'Quinns need
to be handled in an expedited manner.
I am reaching out to you
first to give you the opportunity to fix this in a timely manner. I hope
this can be appropriately resolved without the involvement of third
parties.

Awj A.This technician from QQuinn's plumbing Service called David was rude, unprofessional, inadequate, and misleading. He got serious ethic issue. He wants to make money and he misled me with wrong information on the phone to force me agree with him open the dry wall and pay him $275 to check a situation which got absolutely no signs of leaking. The company owner is even more rude. He screamed at me with ""mother fucker"" many times on the phone for over 10 minutes. Do not ever hire their service. They will for sure mess you up!!
The details are as below - David misled my tenant by exaggerating the issue while I was still on the way there. He told my tenant there was a big water pocket between kitchen and breakfast room ceiling connection area. Actually the little bump area was from the reconstruction where we opened up a wall. David requested to open up the dry wall because of this big reason plus he said the darker paint area was all wet which was not true at all. He gave me all these wrong information and a lot of pressure to make me agree with him to open the dry wall when I could not see the real thing. My instinct was there was no pipe leaking. So I asked him again and again if the dry wall was wet. David was arrogant and inpatient. He said yes to me. He said he has to open the dry wall and he got 18 years of experience... When I get to the house, David opened half of the kitchen ceiling. All the dry wall he cut off were on the kitchen floor. I touched all the dry wall. They are all very dry. I asked David where the pocket of water he saw. He pointed to the area we removed the wall. I was amazed his lack of professional judgment, just intentionally misleading, and arrogant attitude. He was still trying to cut more dry wall. At the same time, he misled my tenant saying there are mold in the ceiling which I only saw some dust from many years ago when the house was built. For sure, he cannot find a drop of leaking. It was the spot my previous tenant splash juice to that area of ceiling when using the blender. The stain was covered by a slightly different paint. We got special ceiling and we need to spend a lot of money to restore the ceiling and recess light. On top of it, we had to hire professional mold tester and performed the mold test to proof it was absolutely dry at this area and no mold exist at all. We spent $950 because of this stupid company misleading us and trying to make money out of us. I called the company to complain and give them a chance to justify. I requested to talk to the owner. He asked me not to put negative feedback online because he will loss big income. When I called him back upon his request after a few days, this guy called me ""mother f*****"" many times and screamed at me on the phone for over 10 minutes.
Kristy W.I'm surprised to see such a low rating on their page. Maybe I just got lucky? We had a guy come out today to fix a water pressure issue. He was very cordial, timely, and showed me things that he was talking about. I would recommend them and we will likely use them in the future. Oh, also he wore footies when he first came in which is always appreciated.
Peter M.My home was built by Van Metre and Peed plumbing was the original contractor. peed was purchased by CroppMetcalfe so I called them to look at work done by Peed. Our water heater had stopped working after a recent warranty repair by Peed. Cropp said they did not purchase warranties or liabilities, only business. After Cropps tech came and diagnosed the problem we spent nearly 2 weeks without hot water and no return phone calls from Cropp. Called O'Quinn""s and their tech was there on time, reviewed the information from Cropp, saw a solution which Cropp had missed, ordered the parts and called the next morning to arrange a repair time.
I cannot say enough good things about my experience with O'Quinn's. I have hot water while awaiting the replacement parts.
Liz V.I had a burst pipe in my bathroom that needed attention asap. It was during a cold spell, and I could tell they were swamped busy, but they fit me in because it was an emergency. Dave came to the house and was friendly and informative. Instead of putting a band aid on the problem, (like the last plummer did) he gave me an alternative solution to prevent the problem from recurring. I feel badly there are bad reviews because my experience with O'Quinn's was great.
I have to say that I am shocked to see all of the negative reviews of O'Quinn's Plumbing. I just had a new hot water heater installed in my home today and could not be more pleased with the entire transaction from the very first point of contact until the technician shook my hand and walked out of my front door after install. After receiving an estimate from another local plumbing company that seemed astronomically high, I decided to call around for price quotes. The 2nd company that I contacted quoted me a much better price, booked the install, and promised to be at my house 24 hours later to complete the work. About 20 minutes later, they called me back to tell me that they had misquoted the price and that the work would actually be $200 more than the price they gave me. How is that acceptable? Working in the customer service industry myself, I firmly believe that if the business makes a mistake, they honor their word and take the loss, knowing that the result will be a satisfied customer. At this point, their price was still the lowest, but I did not want to give my money to a company be so shady as to actually call a customer back and tell them that their price just went up $200.
Now on to O'Quinn's. I called and first reached Deb, who was incredibly friendly, sympathetic to my situation, and thorough in her price breakdown. There was still a slight gap in O'Quinn's pricing and the company that I really didn't want to use, so I told Deb I would have to think about it before committing. She informed me that she was going to reach out to Wes, the owner, to see if he could meet the price of the quote I received elsewhere, and that she was leaving for the day but would pass the information along to her colleague, Erin. When I called back, sure enough, Erin knew exactly who I was, what service I needed, and what price I was hoping for. I was very impressed by the attention my request received and the fact that Deb had communicated my needs so well that I did not have to explain anything again was a huge plus for me. Erin was very kind and helpful, and explained that they were awaiting response from the owner as to whether or not he would be able to complete the job while matching the price of a competitor, and that she would be back in touch with my sometime the next day. Sure enough, first thing the following morning, I received a call from Erin stating that Wes would absolutely match the price I was looking for, as he would love to have my business and would be out to my home first thing Monday morning. I hung up the phone grateful, relieved, and thrilled to know that there ARE still companies out there who value earning a new customer's business.
The service technician, Nick, was on time, professional, informative and completed the work exactly as expected. There were no surprises, hidden fees or problems. He simply took care of the job, cleaned up after completion, showed my everything I needed to know about the new unit, then told me that they would like to be my plumber for the next 30 years. I can promise you that contrary to other reviews, I will absolutely call O'Quinn's for EVERY future plumbing need as well as praise their amazing customer service and quality of work to all of my local neighbors and friends. Thank you to Deb, Erin, Wes and Nick for making me a new lifelong customer!!
Don't waste your time. They were a no-show*** (see below).
They had high reviews on Angie's list so I gave them a call. I left work early to meet them during their 2-hour window. They did not show up.
I called them twice after they didn't show up to get a status update. Both calls were during their business hours. Nobody picked up, so I left a message.
*** To their credit, they tried to reach me twice. Once, Deb called to tell me they were running late by 30-45 minutes. Then, Chris (tech) called to ""verify"" I was home before he spent any more time in traffic.
For whatever reason, they called my work number only, and didn't once try to contact me on my cell phone. Of course I didn't pickup my work phone - I was at home waiting for them. Since I didn't pickup my work phone, they decided to abort the service request.
Had O'Quinn called me at the other number, or bothered to answer their phone/ listen to messages during business hours, both parties involved would've saved time, money, and energy.
Instead of figuring how what went wrong, the Wes (owner) said ""we called you and you didn't pickup"" and told me to ""never call again.""
Had hot water heater, garbage disposal and another leak all in one week.
O'Quinns took care of it all and made sure I understood what had happened
and why I needed the repairs.
I have used them in the past and they have always been wonderful
Lisa R.I had a positive experience using O'Quinn's Plumbing Service this week. Full disclosure, I had some trouble getting a response at first, but eventually I was contacted by the company owner and he wanted to earn my business. I was in a jam when my garbage disposal was failing and leaking. Wes sent someone over to help same day. Andrew explained my options and gave me lots of helpful plumbing information while replacing the disposal. The job was done quickly and efficiently. Now, the new disposal is working great. Solid work.
Joseph M.This is the second time I had to use them because the first time the job wasn't complete.
The first time I used them, it had snowed outside. I told their plumber that I just finished mopping and I thought he would put on shoe cover or take off his boots. Nope, he just stomped his feet on the welcome mat and went on in. He didn't have the slip cover shoes on that other plumbers had. Then on his way out, I guess he got tired of just ""stomping"" his feet because it took him a couple of trips to take his gear out and he tracked from the front of the house to the kitchen and back.
Now I work nights, so the next time he came back I scheduled it at 8 in the morning. When I got home from work I took a nap in the couch so I can hear him ringing the door bell. He called me at 10 saying he stopped by the house at 8 and 9 and no one was answering the door. I told him I was sleeping on the couch waiting for him and I didn't get a call or anything. He just shrugged it off and said he'll be at the house in 15 minutes. So 30 minutes later, he gets to the house and aggressively rings the door bell. No apology, no nothing.
Customer service goes along way, I would have been just as happy if he said he was running late and apologize rather than lying to me.
