Called John to come out to give me an estimate for a valve replacement. He came on time and provided me with a competitive quote. I moved forward with the replacement ($120 approx) for the type of valve I had. In and out about 40 min. It's been about 2 months and everything works as new. Will use him again if I need to.

Had a bad leak recently one morning in the pvc pipe leading into a valve. Water was just flooding out and had to shut the water off to the house at the main. Called Orange County Sprinkler Service and spoke with John. He gave me a reasonable quote over the phone and had someone out within a few hours. Ishmael professionally and promptly made the needed repair and the bill was exactly what John had quoted on the phone. Two weeks later called John to come out to look at a few valves that were leaking and to get a repair estimate. John again provided a very reasonable quote and was very professional in making the required repairs. He worked hard, was very neat and did a quality job. I also inquired if he could install a separate shut off valve for the irrigation system so would not have to turn off the water at the main in the future. John dug down into the ground and found a irrigation system shut off valve that had been buried over the years. He replaced this valve and raised it to be above ground. The final bill came in a little under what he had quoted as he was able to use a few less parts. Found John to be very honest and professional and will use him again.

In fairness, John did work for me about a year ago. That being said, I told him I would leave a comment on Yelp but I soon forgot. I was cleaning my email box (John emailed me a receipt for his work) and I remembered our conversation. As it was, I had several broken sprinklers and my watering system was not working. I assumed at the time that I would have to replace everything, as it was older equipment and the last person I called told me it was not worth fixing and wanted to charge a lot of money to replace. Not only did John respond quickly, he was able to diagnose the problem with my sprinkler system so I did not have to replace it. He brought my system up to code, repaired my sprinklers and threw in a sprinkler tuneup on top of everything. His prices were far more reasonable than anyone else in the area. He was professional to tee and polite as well. I would use him again in a heartbeat.

Wow. Where do I start. My sprinkler system is over 10 years old and I have 7 zones. Noticed problems with the timer, flooding, and low pressure - planters dying and certain spots in lawn not receiving water. John came out and did a free assessment. Ended up installing a new timer, repairing a bunch of underground breakage points, repairing some wiring, replacing a bunch of broken sprinkler heads, and performing a tune up all around.

I would recommend John in a heart beat. He was professional and conscientious of my budget, walked me through my entire system (as well as giving me a quick lesson on a few things), and helped me determine what was critical and what can wait. He actually worked another day to finish the job and didn't nickel & dime me. He has very high work ethic and standards - you'll see it when he's on site working on your system while he provides periodic status updates and explains issues to you.

There are certain people/businesses that you trust and want in your rolodex. OC Sprinkler, John, is now my go-to guy for sprinkler service. It is my great pleasure to write this review.

I had two valves leaking and John came out and replaced them and wired up a new rain bird timer very quickly. Reasonable prices too.

One of the valves from two months ago was leaking. John came out today and replaced it PLUS installed backflow prevention valves on two zones!
This was at zero additional cost.

John is a real pro and stands by his work.
