They called shortly (within an hour?) of my filling out the Yelp online form explaining my need for plumbing assistance. Yeah, I'd done everything I could think of to solve the problem myself and hit an impasse. They sent Jose Lopez (of Oakland Rooter & Plumbing) next afternoon. A couple guys had come from Gator Rooter and Plumbing in the morning. The Gator guys had a different take and I couldn't quite make out what they were going to do if I asked them to do the work. They had several options, I wasn't clear on it, but Jose's approach (and he came solo) was very different. He went right in and attempted to remove the deteriorated galvanized nipples of my kitchen's wall mount faucet, which I was attempting to replace (with a unit I'd already bought). By the time he'd done this (impressively!) I realized I'd not only not have hot water in the kitchen (it had been 2 months so!), I'd have no water of any kind in the house until this work was completed. So, I was over a barrel, but Jose's offer (which I couldn't refuse at that point!) was better than Gator's... of course I said ""yes!"" I had him install my water pressure valve (which I'd bought off Amazon over a year before) after he fixed the faucet. Jose's quite the experienced plumber, efficient and impressive. I got a quote on repiping my 111 year old craftsman house from him before he left. Yup, didn't see one negative review of ORP.

I'd tried to removed the hot water nipple above my sink with an internal pipe wrench without success, even with the help of my recently retired plumber friend... we couldn't do it. But Jose had a better internal pipe wrench than my friend or I had. In fact, I searched the internet for a similar one after the job was done and couldn't find one like it. Fortunately, Jose had everything he needed to get the job done in his truck. Prepared!

Called due to great reviews in Yelp. Berkeley plumbers are underwhelming in my experience so tried these folks for the first time. Great experience.
Showed up within 24 hours of my call, easy to book. Courteous, prompt, clean booties and masked. Fixed the issue so fast due to a dumb homeowner not knowing that the irrigation was turned off, that they were gone in a few minutes and didn't even charge me. Said they'd appreciate getting the first call again next time. That's customer service, relationship building, wonderful surprise and I certainly will call them first next time. Go Oakland Rooter.

Okay, so if your looking for plumbers on Yelp, look no further. These guys know what they're doing. Alberto serviced my messed up disposer and clogged bathtub. The service only took about an hour, super fast and efficient. Alberto was professional and friendly, he carefully explained the issues i was experiencing and showed me what he did to fix the problems. My only gripe is he left his shoes on and walked through my bedroom carpet, but I can look pass that, next time i'll suggest taking them off. otherwise fantastic service, reasonable prices, and swift. i would contact them again for future plumbing needs!
