We called Oakland Rooter on 7:30 on a Friday night because our garbage disposal was clogged and our kitchen sink wasn't draining. They sent a technician by 10 AM on Saturday. Alberto was friendly, professional, and fast, and the problem was fixed in less than 30 minutes. The price was reasonable. This is now our go-to plumber in Oakland. Highly recommended!

My downstairs bathroom sink was in need of a whole new pipe. Something of great value went down the drain so my bf took it apart but was unable to re-assemble. The whole thing was crumbling and old. I called Oakland Rooter ( the very 1st plumber I found and read reviews about). I had an appointment window of 9-11am but they were there BEFORE appointed time which was great. Got the parts in no time and fixed it same day! Yay! Cesar and his plumbing partner were great. Very nice, mindful of my home. Wore masks and protective footing! The price was fair too. I would highly recommend them and if ever need another plumbing job, will definitely call them. Thank you so much Oakland Rooter.

I had an issue with my kitchen sink not draining & the water coming back up on the other side of the wall where the washing machine was. I called Oakland Rooter & they were so kind listening to me explain.

Alberto came out next day, was patient while the dog was situated, saw the issue and had it corrected in no time.

They are by far, the nicest, most fair price and very professional.

I will use them for all my plumbing needs in the future and I highly recommend.

Alberto came out twice yesterday to try to remedy a sewage back up problem. First time to use the snake and the second time to do a hydro water flush. He was determined to resolve the problem spending hours flushing out the system, but his efforts were unsuccessful. He suggested that it may be a problem with the main sewer line, which the City needed to address and did not charge us for the service (he said it was the company's policy if the problem is not fixed, no charges). He even said he out come out the next day with a supervisor to try to address the problem. I called the city's sewer division first thing in the morning, because we did not want him to come out unnecessarily. The City came out in 30 mins (props to City of Oakland sewer division) and discovered the main sewer line was the problem. If Alberto reads this, we want him to know that he exemplified professionalism. THANK YOU and we appreciate your efforts. We have used Oakland Rooter & Plumbing several times now and each time they have gone above and beyond. We are customers for life!

Oakland Rooter does it again!!

I wrote a review a couple months ago when first calling them for help.

This time it was for a different, but more challenging, issue of outbound kitchen pipe being badly clogged about 50 feet down the line.

Fortunately, the A-Team , aka Team Milagro, arrived. They were amazing!!! Remember these names: César and Juan!!!

Huge thanks to these professionals for their conscientious expertise, and to company owner Ygnacio who shows what a business --local or otherwise-- is at its very best!!

Great service from knowledgeable employees.

I have a storm drain that wasn't working properly, and Oakland Rooter & Plumbing sent Cesar and someone else whose name I didn't catch. They tried to snake the drain and removed some mud and fabric (?!), but the water still wouldn't drain properly. Because they were unable to fix the problem, they didn't charge me, and asked if a third person from the same company could stop by later that day to assess the situation.

Jose M. came by and looked around. He provided a thorough explanation of what he thought the issue was with the buried drainage pipes, how it might have happened, and what my next steps should be. The fix was outside the scope of the work that Oakland Rooter & Plumbing does, but I appreciated their attempt and recommendation!

Jose and Enrique were excellent. They came out very quickly, scoped my sewer lateral to make sure that there were no issues prior to doing an ADU build and sent me the video! I would use them again for any plumbing issues I had. I highly recommend them.

Jose M was the plumber that came to take a look at my garbage disposal. He didn't charge me the service fee because when he looked at it the issue cleared itself up. He was helpful and gave me tips on how to make sure things drain properly and the drain is maintained well.

We needed to remove a gas line to a fireplace that was no longer useable. Oakland rooter and plumbing sent an associate out for a free estimate and we scheduled them back for the job. We didn't look for a competing estimate at the time because we were wanting to get this done quickly, but he asked at the end whether we did in order to gauge where his service prices fell overall. Everything was efficient and clean and he provided some useful tips along the way.
