Yesterday morning, my wife and I noticed a leak in our downstairs bathroom and the ground was wet. We immediately searched around on Yelp for a plumber and Oakland Rooter & Plumbing was able to send somebody over within the hour.

When the plumber stopped by, he carefully assessed the situation and explained his thinking aloud. He walked us through all the steps that he would take in order to try to fix the problem and gave us a full rundown of our options as well as the cost for each of those options. I appreciated that this guy was very honest. Instead of recommending the most expensive option right off the bat, he told us what he would do if it were his house, and how he would proceed if it did not work.

I loved the thoroughness from start to finish. In the 40 minutes that the technician was on-site, he was able to unclog the back-up -- first trying with an auger and then using a traditional plunger.

Getting a professional to stop by always feels a bit expensive but getting a same day appointment and the problem fixed right away is worth the peace of mind. Definitely would call up these guys again if I had another plumbing issue.

Highly recommend Oakland Rooter. They service in San Leandro and is where I reside. We had the pleasure of working with Daniel. Daniel was efficient and responsive. We had a leaky kitchen sink and garage sink and both times Daniel provided attentive listening and helped us resolve the problem. Daniel went the extra mile to help us with our washing machine as well. Pricing is great and affordable. I would recommend Oakland Rooter/ Daniel to anyone looking to get their plumbing needs.

Angel is the man. He was clean and very thorough.

I had a kitchen sink clog that another plumber had previously made worse with a drain snake. I explained to Angel what had happened. He took the time to understand and evaluate the issue before developing a plan with me.

He let me know the costs up front and the expectation for the work. Unlike the previous company, I would not be paying for just the attempt to resolve the issue. If Angel didn't clear it, I wouldn't have to pay.

Of course he cleared it. He kept the area clean and was very careful. He made extra efforts afterwards to confirm the clog was cleared and was very thorough.

If they attack all their jobs with this same level of effort, this company can't be beaten.

I had a plugged main sewer line on Labor Day and called Oakland Rooter. I told them I was having a family barbecue and could they expedite the call. Byron was out at our location in Upper Rockridge in 20 minutes. Reviewed the problem and ran his snake two times up to 100 feet to clear the problem. We were good to go within 30 minutes, a job well done. Not only did he wear a mask but also took out a roll of paper towels and cleaned up any excess drips around the area he was working wiping down the furnace unit which was close to his work area. Very reasonable pricing and I would recommend them anytime.

Had to replace a whole house filtration system. Called them on Labor Day (!), Andre came out within 40 minutes (!!), offered a good assessment and what in retrospect was a fair price (perhaps even a great price for the amount of work he put in), and did the work on the spot. (It helped that we had already purchased the required parts.) He was courteous, answered my questions, and addressed my concerns.

I've worked with half a dozen plumbers over the years and this was the best experience I've had. Will definitely give them a call the next time there is an issue.

Talk about responsive! Oakland Rooter had a technician on site in less than an hour. Now your results, as mine may be the next time I use them, might vary. They booked a same day appointment and then moved it up when there was a cancellation. The office was thorough and efficient and their tech well-explained my options to me. I will use them again.

oakland rooter & plumbing rocks! i called about removing a second floor washer drain pan and installing a new one. literally i called at 5 min to noon and daniel arrived a little over an hour later. he went and bought the pan at the hardware store and came back to install. he was super nice, extremely professional, and did a great job. i am so happy to have this taken care of and will definitely call oakland rooter for plumbing needs in the future!

Thank you Odi and team!! Our hot water heater died on a Saturday night so we were without hot water, we reached out to Oakland Rooter and Plumbing and Odi was at our house to help early the next day (a lot of companies weren't open and some we inquired with before we found Oakland Rooter still haven't even responded) Odi gave us our options and honest recommendations which we super appreciate. We ended up replacing our old water heater with a new tankless and Odi and team worked with our schedule and were able to come back the very next day to get the job done quickly and get us back up and running with hot water. These guys were super professional, and great to work with. We had a downstairs sink that was overflowing when the upstairs dishwasher or shower were used. They came out on short notice, figured out the issue, explained what they found, and were on their way!
