Shocker, I had the same experience as pretty much everyone else. Purchased a dishwasher from Costco, which was delivered on time. Unfortunately, more than a week later, I still have a dishwasher sitting in my living room.

Oakes was a no-show for the first appointment. I scheduled a second appointment - another no-show. No call, no text, no communication whatsoever. I'm not sure why Costco continues doing business with Oakes as they are completely unprofessional. If you have a choice, go with someone else.

How are you still in business?? These were the contracted installers for my dishwasher from a Costco purchase. My story is the same as all of the other one star reviews. Get your own plumber. No-showed on three different occasions and stopped returning my calls. Useless company and utterly unprofessional. Don't waste your time.

We purchased a dishwasher through Costco and they assigned Oakes to do the install. The two men who showed up took over 4 hours to remove the old dishwasher and replace the new one. They ended up damaging the new dishwasher door, it was installed wrong and tilted so the door didn't open all the way. My husband and I think these two were not licensed plumbers as they seemed clueless throughout the process. They also left a mess all over our floors and one of the guys asked to have some ice out of our freezer for his mtn Dew & was about to dig his completely oily, dirty hands into our clean ice bucket when I stopped him and said I would do it. When we called Oakes afterwards to tell him it was installed wrong Bob, the boss, promised to come out first thing the next morning himself. He never showed, never returned our calls. Costco replaced our dishwasher bc of the damage Oakes caused and we are paying someone else to install. NEVER give these folks your business and ask any corporate seller like Costco or Lowe's who their installer is beforehand to be sure it isn't this crew!

ordered dishwasher through Costco. Oakes Plumbing was contracted to install. He never showed up or called. Costco ended up cancelling him and reimbursing us to find our own plumber. what a bummer.

One of the reasons we purchased a microwave from Costco is that installation and the removal of our old microwave were included with the price. Oakes was assigned to do this by Costco. Microwave was delivered four days ago. I emailed him on the day it was delivered, and he said he would call back that morning to schedule installation that day, the next day at the latest. He still hasn't called. My husband ended up doing the installation and disposing of the old microwave. Given all the low ratings of this non-professional that say basically the same thing, he has got to be put out of the business of appliance installations. We and the companies selling the appliances are basically paying him for doing nothing. I, for one, will be calling Costco to do my best to ensure that he does not get any more of their business, and Oakes will certainly not be getting any more of mine.

Contacted him multiple times via phone and text to do some work on our kitchen pipes over April 30th weekend. He stated he would be out the next morning two different days. Never showed up.

I ordered a dishwasher from Costco and they contracted Oakes to install it. Kevin called within one hour of delivery to schedule installation this afternoon. He was knowledgable and efficient. My new dishwasher was installed within an hour and a half and he hauled away the old, broken one

Worst plumber ever! Lowe's sent Bob Oakes to replace a water heater that had failed but was still under warranty. Not only did he never return the faulty one to Lowe's so I could be credited but he hooked the new one up backwards so after he left it didn't work. He came back to correct (believe me this was not complicated as an electric with already existing copper pipes) and then after he left it was dripping. Over a year later it is still dripping! He never answered my repeated phone calls.
Do not let this man anywhere near your house!

THESE PEOPLE ARE TERRIBLE!
I would give them ZERO stars. Costco set them up to install our new gas range but they never showed! All they had to do was call us to let us know they won't be able to make it. We received no call and they did not answer our email, or messages. That was 2 days ago! I would never recommend them to anyone. Apparently Oakes makes so much money that they do not need all of their customers. I've had a new in box range in the middle of my kitchen floor for two days. Suburban Propane is coming tomorrow, thank God.
