We have been waiting for a New water heater for three months. The master plumber that did come out in the beginning talked to himself and then went to his car and was smelling his shirt. We were told that he would get the water heater and install it because Lowe's couldn't get one. We have called several times without them calling back. Would never use them . We are going with Fred's because they are professional

Absolute terrible experience, the worst! Never returns phone calls and doesn't show up when promised a time also they have no clue what they are doing!! Lowe's referred us to this company and that's a complete embarrassment on their part! Very unprofessional company!!!

We had Oakes redo our bathroom. Bob is the guy who does all of the estimate work and then his team of youngsters comes in to do all of the work - plumbing, tile work, etc. Bob talks a big game to get you signed up for the work and really stresses that you'll love the outcome.

Overall, the process, while much longer than expected, was fine until the end. I had to continuously ask him to make sure things were getting done and it seemed like unless I asked several times it was overlooked. On top of this the bill at the end was much higher than expected, largely due to the fact that he tried to sneak in a ""small tile fee"" of $500. I called him on it and he removed it. He stressed that it was an honest mistake, though looking back, it obviously wasn't.

I made the mistake of giving him a check before the work was done. Left were several things he said he would do on the last day, clean up and putting the doors back on the hinges. My texts and calls are now being screened and I haven't heard back since he left with the check.

I would have highly recommended Oakes prior to the end. Now I'd give a lukewarm recommendation.

As everyone else said.... called several times.... when I finally did reach someone they said they would be over that day. At 4pm and not hearing from anyone I called again and was rudely told someone would be over. Nobody showed, nobody called.

This is the worse ""company"" around. Zero stars. Negative stars if possible. Worst customer service of my life. They agreed to do a sink replacement job for me and move the old sink out. They never showed up on 4 different occasions, and the correspondence was non-existent. They really should be ashamed of themselves for trying to run a business.

The worst service ever. I have an appointment with them to install a dishwasher. They have never shown up, they didn't even bother to call. They are repaid by the carrier. worst of the worst. I will never hire them again. it has been 10days just waiting for them.

NO STARs---Worst service I've ever seen. They lie right to your face. they put in the wrong furnace at my parents, it's October, they've been without heat for over a week. Every day my Dad called(he's in his 80s), They would say they were coming, he'd wait all day and they never show up. My husband called yesterday, They said someone would be there this morning. no one showed. I called, they said they would be there soon, no show. Told my husband they would be there in 30 min. No show.

There is a reason these reviews are generally consistent. I think in the one off case, where reviews are positive, BO (pun intended) might (???) be minorly ok.

Incredibly difficult to get responses from by text or voice and deal with. Was hired by my local property manager, BO took more than two years to close a permit (and has actively taken 2 months to pursue and close now) that was essentially a toilet change. In the process of closing the permit, first-hand he liked to me, to the property manager, and was reported to have lied to the village mechanical inspector.

At this point, if someone had been a $1000, I would go with them for the headache BO has caused. Though I suspect it would only have been $75-$100 more to go with someone with a 2-star review.

If you have a different review, please correct me because I dislike giving such a poor review.

There are some negative reviews on here, but I had a positive interaction with them. After getting jerked around for months (yes, literally months) by Sears about a dryer that didn't do what they said it did; Oakes stepped in and was able to solve the problem. Props to them for doing a complicated install that no one else could.

If there was an option to give zero stars I would. I have never had worse customer service in my life. My husband and I have been trying to get a delivery from them for over a month and every day they promise they'll show up the next day. This company should not exist and I'm amazed they haven't gone out of business yet. Everyone that I spoke to was very rude and had no inclination to help. I was given several different phone numbers to call and each conversation was worse than the last and every time I called they blamed me for not getting the delivery by saying they didn't have accurate contact info. Finally canceling the order, should have a long time ago. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
