Had them come out to quote some revisions for a kitchen remodel. Franklin came out to look at the job. He was timely, polite, and helpful. The price quoted was higher than I had budgeted so I ultimately went with another company but I would certainly keep them in the running for next time.

I'm sorry I have to amend this review. Everything I said below is true, the people who work for Oak are friendly and efficient. My first experience was great. But this time I called them and they charged me WAY TOO MUCH for a water heater install. $2240 for a 50 gallon including install and when I asked what their hourly rate is, they couldn't give it to me because it would be so high...instead they say they charge by the job with a ""book"" they use. Well the book likely says how many hours it should take to do something, but they're not transparent about hourly rates. And that ends up kicking you in the backside. (After our convo Cory offered me 5 percent discount so final install price was $2120.)

All of this is more frustrating because in my first experience with them they replaced the hot water heater coupler at a reasonable price so I came back to do business with them. But as a property owner, I've had people sweeten the deal the first time to get you to call back, and imo it feels like that's what happened here. It's business model, but not one I'm fond of.

I would only contact them again for an emergency because when other plumbers failed me in the first situation they did not. They had a part no one could get, and they were Johnny-on-the-spot. I just can't get past that install price when I know the high end of the National stats for same replacement is around $1600. And the model they installed has a price range of $700-1000. And the install job took 3 hours. So that means Oak must have charged me $300+ per hour for the install. Why not lay out the cost of water heater and labor on the invoice instead of lumping them together in a single bid? That would provide more transparency regarding hourly rates. Yes, in this situation another plumber never came through for us and Oak did. But that doesn't change the fact that installation cost was unreasonably high. Ultimately I recognize that it's my responsibility because out of desperation to get the job done quickly we agreed to the price. But that doesn't make the hourly any more reasonable.

Previous Review: Lauren the receptionist offered immediate help to a crazy water heater emergency just as I was going out of town. Technician Daniel was patient, kind and explained everything. Rates were fair for immediate service. Daniel checked in with my tenant and followed up with me after. All in all very professional.

Was having an issue with our sink so we called this company. They sent out Danny a very amazing guy. He quickly assessed the situation and told us there's a $49 inspection fee but after he saw that the only thing wrong with our sink was that there was a penny in the sink. He then told us he wouldn't charge us anything since it literally took him 2 seconds to fix and he wouldn't feel right charging for that. Now that's what I call taking care of your customers. They have my business from now on!

Called to have water heater checked. They were out the next day and Franklin was very professional, explained everything well and was very thorough.

Called them after having a dishwasher returned because I was missing a hot water valve. James came out in about an hour, worked up an estimate... price was reasonable and his van was fully stocked. Work was completely done within 2 hours. If You ever need a plumber.... call them!

Matt Harris installed a new toilet for us today. Very efficient, knowledgeable and personable, plus he was great with my 4yr old and 2yr old who wanted to 'help' him with his work. It was our first time using Oak Plumbing, but won't be our last. What a great company!

They are incredibly expensive but so was everyone else. Damarus was professional, friendly and courteous. Didn't try to talk me into items I didn't need. In fact talked me out of a sink that I thought needed replacing. He will quoted me a few options and explained them in detail. Work was done fairly quick and looked a hell of a lot better than what I previously had.

Damarus was really personable, thorough, and efficient. The prices are a bit on the high side - welcome to the Bay Area - but I was very happy with the job and look forward to doing more business with Oak in the future.

I have been procrastinating for over flowing toilets and leaky pipes. Danny Jimenez was on site
next day, gave me a quot( liked that better than charge me per hour). Did excellent job for three new toilets and new pipes. Later minor leak happened and Chadwick sent Danny right away to
fix the leak. What a service. Danny is an efficient, pleasant and staff at oak plumbing are supportive , informative and very pleasant to talk to them.
they are my now and future plumber. Danny fix the additional leaky shower head-no charge.

We had a clogged sewer drain. They needed to come twice to fix it. I think the problem is fixed. We had some challenges with time slots but that is the business. What was most impressive is they took ownership of not getting the clog the first time and of not meeting their time slot. Very impressive. Technicians knew their trade. I would use them again in a heartbeat. Very customer focused.
