Called them to fix a leaky kitchen faucet, was able to get an appointment next day and they did fix the problem. Very pricy though, the guy spent 35 mins and charged $137 labor and another $92 for parts. They charged 2-3 times normal price for parts.

We've now had three wonderful experiences with Norblom. They're reasonable, friendly, articulate, show up when they say they will and they do great work.

This last time, we had both toilets fixed. One of them we didn't even know needed maintenance, so it was really nice that he checked and replaced a few inexpensive parts. It flushes much easier now as it was too stiff for our three year old to flush previously. She had to leave her tiny turds in there for one of us to find and flush, so this was truly a gift.

The toilet in the main bathroom started running again about a week after it was fixed so we called back. They warrantee their work for 30 days so they sent someone out and he figured out that the water level was too high, installed another new flapper and just did a thorough job all-around. He let me know that if this toilet acts up again, they'll have to charge, which I totally understand, but more than that, he communicated this fact to me clearly and directly. Communication is key! We tried to tip one of the guys and he walked out the door as fast as he could saying ""You guys use that money to buy much-deserved beer."" (we have three small children, same as him, so he ""gets it."")

SUCH nice folks, from Amy on the phone to the plumbers in the field. You won't regret going with Norblom. Do it. Do it now.

These guys are the best. Jim came to our house he wasn't here for more than half an hour. One of the nicest guys I've ever had come fix something for me. Extremely genuine and all around great. I will tell many people about this wonderful service

I picked Norblom based off of all the good reviews here and I have to agree with everyone! I just moved into my house a few months ago and my mom noticed water spots on the ceiling of the basement bathroom when she was visiting. I called yesterday and they were able to come out today. The plumber showed up at the beginning of the two hour window, found the leak, taught me how to fix it, showed me where the whole house water shut off was, and helped me find my outdoor shut off. I will definitely call again if I need a plumber.

I called Norblom based on Yelp reviews, and now I can add to the praises others are singing.

I got a ballpark estimate of how involved and expensive my job-a kitchen faucet and leaky pipe to a toilet- would be when I made the appointment. Kurt was exactly on time and very professional. Even though another issue was discovered with the toilet, he had everything he needed in his truck and got it all done in an hour! Best of all he did not try to scare me into fixing other things I can't afford right now, but when I have some money for those lesser problems, I'll call Norblom.

In September 2014 I installed a new toilet in my condominium. While purchasing a new toilet at Menards ($200 on sale) the sales person there was telling me how easy it is to install a new toilet and he was sure I could do it myself.

However - since I live in a building that is almost 50 years old and this was what I believed to be the original toilet I was a little hesitant to tackle this DIY project. If I lived in a home that was only 10-15 years old it would probably be a different story.

I brought the toilet home and phoned Norblom a few days later to have a plumber install it. I was able to get an appointment the very next day which was great. I've used Norblom on three other occassions for a sink and dishwasher install.

The plumber arrived shortly after the time window they provided and immediately went to work - since they work on a time and material basis there was no small talk and wasted time on his part which I appreciated. Total time for install was about 90 minutes and the cost was $290 which was for time, materials and removal of old toilet. As I suspected - given the age of the building it took a little bit longer to clean/prep the flange area. In addition, either the floor or toilet bottom was not flat so it rocked a small amount so he needed to install some shims to level it which added some time.

Overall - I am once again pleased with the service of Norblom and having the job done professionally and correctly the first time.

By far the best plumbing service around. I had a small flood in my house and Jim was at my house and had it fixed within an hour and a half. Jim was a great guy and very professional. Id never use a different company.

I called Norblom around noon and the guy (Kris) was there within an hour! I had water leaking out of the wall of my house. Kris was polite, efficient and a nice guy. He found the problem (which was a pipe leaking IN THE WALL) right away and had it fixed in no time. I think plumbers all charge the same amount, so this wasn't a ""deal"", but the service was excellent, the plumber knowledgable and decent (ie, I didn't feel like my personal safety was in jeopardy, being home alone with him). I'd for sure call Norblom again.

It was time for us to order a new dryer...the one that came with our house was over 30 years old and could be heard all over the house. Since we had to buy a gas dryer, the hook up was going to be more extensive. We were put off by the price Home Depot was quoting...over $300 with parts being extra, etc. We figured we could find this service for cheaper and liked the idea of supporting a local company, so my husband decided to do some plumber research and found Norblom.

They were very helpful over the phone and they were here on a Monday morning after calling for the service on a Saturday. The plumber who came was quick and helpful and explained everything thoroughly. To top it off? It was just a little over $200! We will definitely use them again for our plumbing needs (though hopefully not anytime soon...)
