Nick is great to work with. he help me with fixing my new head board .

I gave Nick's Quick Fix a call on a Sunday and asked for some minor work to be done; drywall repair and some recaulking. He said he could make it on Tuesday at 12 and gave me a quote as well. I was at the site early, gave him a call after about fifteen minutes to confirm that he was indeed coming. He said he would be an hour late. I was pretty confident that he would make it since he has such stellar yelp reviews. At 1:30 I gave him another call and he said he would be there by 3pm. I wasn't too confident at this point but nonetheless I waited for him to show up. He never showed up. I gave him a couple more calls after that and he never picked up.

Called Nick today for help with my garbage disposal. He spent several minutes with me on the phone and we solved my problem without a visit and no charge. Nick's Quick Fix is a class act. Five stars all the way!

Called Nick on Tuesday to replace a 40 gallon water heater. He quoted us $950 parts AND labor but said he would need us to go with him to buy the parts because he did not have the money. I felt like $950 parts AND labor was pretty steep since I knew a water heater was about $500-$600 and being mechanically inclined myself, I KNEW the job should only take about 2hrs. BUT I have a day job so what the hell! Get it done. He said he would be at the house between 6:30 and 7pm. 7pm no Nick so my brother checks with him and he said he will be there ASAP. 8pm no Nick! So we called him to see where he was? He said sorry it's too late now! I can't make it tonight but I can come between 9:30 and 10am the next day! I personally had worked a 12hr shift already and had to be up at 4am SO, at 8pm it was too late for me to go to Home Depot and install this water heater myself. 10am the next morning and guess what? No Nick! He shows up at 10:30 without a courtesy call after already leaving us hanging without hot water the night before. My brother goes with him to Home Depot and buys the water heater and new water lines. $550! Nick was at our house a total of 3 hours INCLUDING the trip to Home Depot. He then proceeds to ask my brother $950?! My brother, not being mechanical, settles with him for $750?! Are you kidding me? $250 per hour to remove an old water heater and LITERALLY reattach 2 water lines, 1 gas line and 1 relief valve?! That is completely unacceptable and wrong! Screw this guy! I don't know who all these 4 and 5 stars are coming from but they must not know the difference between a phillips and a flat head screw driver if they think this guy is fair, punctual or honest or any of the other good things they have stated about him! If I had been home, I would have paid him $300 and told him to kick rocks! Dude is a crook preying on uninformed home owners!

Guess I'm in the same category as another reviewer, must have got him on an off-day...a real off-day. Simple job to cap off a copper water pipe. The space around it wasn't cleared enough to his satisfaction, had to ask three times what clearance was needed to get an answer, then he promptly left and said call me when you're ready. Rudeness and inflexibility are definitely strong points, along with promptness returning calls and showing up. Won't recommend, won't call again.

Had to get a pocket door fixed and a doorbell. Nick promptly responded to my request and helped get the job done with minimum fuss. I would definitely trust him for future wok.

Nick just saved the day! Backed up sink, all the way to the roof! I am new to the area but luckily I chose the right plumber, he fixed the problem, and was professional and courteous. His prices were very good, especially for this area. Can't say enough good things.

We had a broken valve underneath our bathroom sink that needed fixing and a faucet that needed to be replaced. I called Nick and he was prompt, professional, and gave us a fair estimate for his labor. He arrived when he said he would and was courteous and got the job done quickly. We are so glad we found a handyman in the area that we can call on. We will call him again and would recommend him to anyone who needs work done.
Thanks Nick

Nick is great to work with. Professional, articulate, and reasonably priced. I will definitely call him again if I need work done to the house.

Unlike most handymen, Nick does the following:
1) Responds promptly to voicemails / texts
2) States a price for the work after asking relevant questions
3) Does not take the job if he if is not confident of the results
4) Shows up on time
5) Does the work and tests it thoroughly before leaving
6) Provides written invoices promptly
If you don't understand why this is 5 star service you likely haven't tried hiring a handyman in the Bay Area.
I asked Nick to switch out a ceiling fan with a new fixture. It took about 2 hours of work and cost $120. If you want somebody to do it real cheap with no assurances or receipts you can always swing by Home Depot and take your chances, but I like supporting actual businesses.
