Just had a leak detection visit with Connor and Alfonso and they spent approximately 2 hours detecting where my leak was coming from and gave us a very detailed explanation of the possible remedies. They are both very pleasant and polite. They also gave us a no pressure estimate for fixing our problem.

They left a 4' x 1' foot hole in my exterior kitchen wall and have yet to come and repair it. Supposedly I have to wait for some kind of inspection but it's been a month and no one will get back to me. I should start at the beginning through because this is just one in a list of issues as to why I do not recommend this company.

I noticed a gas leak in my house one morning and called them to come look at it. They claimed that all my gas pipes needed to be re-piped because they were old after going under my house to inspect them. They also claimed that I had a couple of sewage leaks in my water pipes and roots in the main line that went out from the kitchen. So they ended up repiping most of my kitchen and bathroom lines, even ones that I know didn't need them. How do I know that they did this? Because they replaced pipes that had already been replaced several years ago.

I didn't know that this is what they were doing because I wasn't following them under the house or looking over their shoulders every minute they were here, I trusted that they were going to do what they needed to do. But, I had qualified for their financing and the price they quoted me was very high and they made it seem like these were urgently needed so I bit the bullet and signed on the dotted line.

The project manager, Kevin, was very friendly and personable and as I was signing the paperwork for the special financing, he specifically told me that I did not need to set up autopay if I didn't want to after quoting me a certain price. The work hadn't even been completed yet when i start getting numerous emails from the finance company to set up autopay or my price and interest rate would go up from what was originally quoted to me.

Two of the workers nearly came to blows during an argument outside by the entrance to the crawlspace. One was accusing the other of not pulling their weight and doing their fair share of the work and the other said: ""you wanna go take a walk?"" It was very unprofessional. Once the work had been done, large interior sections in my house now had the dry wall removed to the exposed piping and I asked if they were going to patch them and they said that they didn't do patching which would have been nice to know from the get-go.

But the gaping hole in my south wall which opens into my the cabinet below my kitchen sink is by far the biggest issue because I was told my Kevin, after calling and complaining, that they shouldn't have done that in the first place and that he would get it fixed for me. But, as I said, it's been a month now and nothing has been done due to some inspection that I've yet to receive any update on. I should have at least been informed that they this is what they were planning to do before they did it so that I could have made the decision whether or not to have a massive hole put in the side of my house. They did a lot of things they didn't need to do without telling me and that's just not how a good contractor operates.

Also, since it's been very cold in my house thanks to that massive hole, I decided to try and run my gas fireplace only to find that the gas valve is now incredibly loose in the floor and I do not think it's connected to anything anymore but am too nervous to try and turn it on. It just rocks and spins in the floor. That line was replaced 4 years ago and it seems like they just took it out and never replaced it. They shouldn't have even needed to touch that. They also said that they would service my electric water heater but it doesn't seem like they did that at all.

This company will say whatever they need to and overcharge you just to get your money. It's like taking your car to an auto garage for an oil change and having the mechanics tell you that your brake pads are shot and you need a new transmission, it's the same basic thing. They price gouge you for unnecessary work and rely on your ignorance to get away with doing it and making a greater profit. My advice is to find a smaller company that won't gouge you, prevaricate or take advantage of you. NexGen definitely follows the what is called the ""churn & burn"" business model which basically means that they will get away with what they can and, sure, they'll lose some customers that way but there's always plenty more where they came from so who cares, right?

Great service from Josh. He arrived on time to fix the thermostat and was polite and courteous. The value was there and I would highly recommend for future services.

Wow, what service. I had an appointment with them today between 9 and 10, which was verified the day before. They called today at 10 min to 10, asking to reschedule to 12. I canceled my morning with the family for this. They should have called first thing in the morning and canceled. VERY DISAPPOINTING!

At Bill:
At 9 am on a Saturday you don't run 3 hours behind! The least you could have done was call at 9 or earlier to let me know.

Prices are astronomically high. Like an estimate to replace a sump pump, which only costs a couple hundred bucks on ebay, can run you around several thousand dollars with labor. So we declined the service. The $88 inspection fee came out to be $385 because they partially pumped some water for an hour. We were flooded including the garage. The guys started out very friendly and chatty. But when I later declined they became snarky and avoided me and one guy just abruptly shut off the pumping, abruptly pulled the pump out of the water and took it and drove away. Guy said ""Nobody wants to pay"". That isn't true, nobody wants to be ripped off! I told the other guy please finish. He quipped, ""there's too much dirt in the water"". Wait a second, they said they were ready to do the job and now they can't? The first guy said there was illegal wiring and the cord was spliced, and ""power should be delivered not carried"" or other bs. ""You need GFCI"". But I have a box isn't that good? ""It's dangerous"". ""Your sump pump is a cheap $100 Liberty"". WRONG, I later found out there was no cut/spliced wiring. I had a $350 Everbilt. Guy didn't have to frighten us and lie through his teeth. So I ended up paying for nothing in the end. Avoid at all costs!

Dominic and Clemente came today, and they did a great job checking absolutely everything. They went to the crawl space down below our house (I would not have been able to do that). They used ultrasound everywhere to hear for leaks. They did pressure checks. Seriously, everything. I was so appreciative of the work. But what I am most grateful for were all the pictures and videos they took of potential future problems as well. We have some corrosion on our pipes that will become a problem in the future and gave me an idea of what we need to start saving for in the next five years. They were amazing. I highly recommend them.

The service by this company started out very well but significantly deteriorated. We signed the contract for a gas line replacement in early September and they promptly finished the work within a few days as promised. However we have not been able to get them to get clearance with the City of Arcadia. They forgot to make the appointment with the city after agreeing on the date with us. After numerous calls, they made the appointment with the city - however they showed up significantly late to the appointment , so much so that the city official left before their arrival. It has been WEEKS since this incident, we have been calling and texting without success. And of course they went ahead and charged our credit card for the entire amount of the contract. In the meantime, we have large dirt holes in our yard and our landscape is suffering from the lack of ability to water and maintain. I am extremely disappointed at the poor quality of their quality and lack of follow through for over a month.

So I made an appointment with this place at Home Depot. The guy who made it for me told me they could to a service for a very good price and check out another problem I had. They had to reschedule with me the day of so I called them and the technician even had the nerve to ask me why didn't the previous service do it. He also made me feel so dumb when he told me why couldn't I do it myself.

Alfonso and Clemente came out to help us assess our washing machine flooding issue. They were responsive, honest, and made me feel very comfortable with their explanations and service. Thanks for all your help guys! I'll definitely reach out to these two again if I need help/consultation.
