Wow - Use with caution:

Plumbing Problem: I had a clogged kitchen sink - no drainage at all and water was backed up. Upstairs neighbors sink water also couldn't pass through my clog and her kitchen sink water was backing into mine.

Quote from Yelp: I requested quotes through Yelp. I was quoted by New Generation $175 if they came after hours or $45 for next morning. I told the gentleman on two occasions it was an apartment on the 4th story and that the morning was fine.

Bait and Switch: At 7:30 am, two plumbers came as scheduled (to their credit, on the dot). I won't mention their names. They quoted me $150. I told them I was already quoted $45 for a clogged kitchen sink and they explained that was for homes, not apartments. I pled my case that the quote was based on me stating I lived in an apartment on two occasions and wouldn't do $150. They agreed they would do it for $75 if I left them a Yelp review. Still almost double the original quote but fine.

Fail/ Improper Diagnosis: We proceeded and he ran a 25 foot snake and the drain wouldn't unclog. He stated we would need to go to downstairs to my neighbors and break down some walls to access the pipes and troubleshoot. He quoted me $3,200 for this. This didn't make sense.

He charged me the $75 and left me with a clogged sink and a headache. Thanks a lot.

Second Opinion: I called another plumber. I explained the work from New Generation and it didn't add up to him. He said he needed to saw off and recup a portion of the pipe so he could look into the drain and verify the direction of the snake cable - something the New Generation plumbers negligently failed to do that could have caused serious damage to my neighbor's pipes/ garbage disposal (did I mention New Generation plumbers told me on multiple occasions that if something breaks, it's not their responsibility?). For instance, some pipes are two directions (up and down) and some are 3 directions (think of sideways ""T""). Without looking to see which way the snake is going, you could end up in someone else's garbage disposal and your drilling the snake cable.

Problem Solved: Second plumber says because New Generation Plumbers failed to cut the pipe and recup/ weld back, they likely were guessing on the direction and accidentally ran the snake UPWARDS towards my upstairs neighbor instead of downwards towards the clog. So the second plumber runs a snake himself and wouldn't you know it? Problem solved! Wow. Steve Harvey moment for New Generation.

I understand and forgive mistakes. But what I can't forgive is that the New Generation plumbers not only made a mistake, but failed to take necessary steps to protect my neighbors property by verifying the direction of the snake, prescribed a $3,200 solution that would require breaking down walls in my neighbor's unit, and then proceeded to bill me as if they solved the problem.

Nope. Nope. Nope. Calling New Generation and telling them I'm canceling payment.

Update: Lorraine called me after this review was posted and apologized for my experience. She stated they will not be charging me. One star for good customer service but the review will stay for future readers to consider all experiences.

These guys are the best. I convinced my self I had a major drain problem. Jake first, then Martin and Jose came over, listened to me carefully, then did their due diligence and determined that what I was smelling was actually just all the stuff caught in my poorly designed drain poppers.
They are professional, courteous and honest. They could have easily told me the problem was a more complicated and expensive fix. Instead I got charged the minimum.

They have done other work for me before and I'm always super happy with my experience. Couldn't recommend them strongly enough!

Excellent job. Fernando and Carlos were actually able to make it over only 15 minutes I reached out. They identified the problem with the garbage disposal very quickly, and charged a reasonable fee. The Yelp discount helped too! Thanks New Generation Plumbing. Glad you're in the neighborhood.

Jake at New Generation called me right away when I submitted a request for a quote on a few issues. Jimmy and Jose took care of us first thing the next morning, checking the house thoroughly for any additional issues since we recently purchased the home. The guys fixed our issues and more. They offered us a complimentary video check of our sewer line and even helped us install our new dryer. They went above and beyond and charged us an affordable amount for their services. Jake is even having someone come back tomorrow to record the sewer footage we requested from him after the fact. Highly recommend. Reliable, trustworthy, efficient and affordable. Thank you!

I found Jake on yelp on Memorial Day after we had issues with our plumbing drainage in our bathtub and our bathroom. He was very responsive and was able to give me a great price quote for our job compared to the other people we spoke with. Not only was his price reasonable he was able to come out that day, on a holiday, to take a look at our issue. He explained clearly what needed to be done and what had happened helping us understand why we were having drainage issues when we never had them before. After taking a look we needed a portion of our pipe replaced because it wasn't connected well. We needed to make a decision on replacing the pipe and after letting him go for the day we called him at night at about 9 p.m. to let him know we would like the work done he was still able to send his team out the next morning. Talk about extremely responsive! His team arrived at 8 a.m. sharp and started working they knew exactly what needed to be done and worked very quickly.

Long story short - Jake is very responsive, honest, and his prices are more than fair. His team is great, punctual and professional. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to get plumbing done!

Found this company on Yelp. Just purchased a home less than a month ago. Received my new washer & dryers this past weekend but upon installation, we noticed the cold water faucet that is intended for washer hookup was leaking. We tried to fix ourselves but the knob was so corroded we decided to call an expert so we wouldn't further damage. I searched Yelp, I've never need a plumber before. I sent quote requests to 6 companies. This particular plumber was the first and fastest to respond & also the most affordable. He also said he could come today, Monday morning which also happens to be a holiday. Quoted me a low price & when they arrived this morning they suggested it was best to replace both faucets as both were deeply rusted & corroded. The price to do both was hardly any amount more which was good news. Service was fast & efficient. We got their card as I will definitely be calling them for future maintenance.

I'm in the middle of escrow and needed a quote for repairs to submit to the seller to get credit. Jake called me immediately and was very professional.
