I've always used these guys since Jim from Jim's Pasadena Plumbing move up north. Juan and Mario worked for Jim. Had a bad experience when Mario came to my home to fix a few very minor problems - fix leaking faucet, install a new faucet, repair shower hot water valve. Mario arrived with has helper. They had to go get a part at noon. They came back an hour and a half later and installed the part. All was good until I received the invoice. The invoice stated that I was charged for the full hour and a half they were gone (getting the part and having lunch!). I was also charged the normal $94 an hour, but also charged $60 an hour for the helper. I've never had to pay for the helper in the past! This was big time price gauging! Putting my trust in these guys in question. Beware of price gauging!

I am also a previous customer of Jim's Pasadena Plumbing. Mario has been my guy for plumbing needs for as long as I can remember. They continue to provide quick service. Love not having to waiting days for the the plumber to show up. They kind courteous and do a clean job.
I would recommend them to all my friends.

Our sink drain was clogged on a friday evening. And after trying to resolve the issue, my boyfriend and I decided to call New Design Plumbing. (We noticed that they received good reviews). We called around 4:30pm on friday, thinking we would have to wait a day or two and pay a premium for weekend work. But they were able to accommodate us and send someone within the hour. They were all sooooo nice. In about 30 to 40 mins, they were able to unclog the drain and charged us less than $100. We would definitely use them again.

I also learned of Juan from his previous work with Jim's Plumbing. Well - THIS never happened to me before . . . water heater died, leaking from the bottom. Shot! Juan came within an hour of calling him and provided a very thorough assessment and options. My new water heater is a re-located tankless and all remnants of the old one removed. New Design is wonderful to work with in every way. Responsive; communicates throughout; highly recommend.

Juan is fantastic. Fixed our gas line leak for less than 10% of what another well regarded plumbing company was quoting us.

I don't believe the other company was trying to rip us off, I just think Juan's experience led him to correctly diagnose the issue the first time. Very happy to add them to our short list of tradesmen we trust.

Juan and Mario, formerly longtime (EXCELLENT) plumbers at now-defunct Jim's Plumbing, have opened ""New Design Plumbing"". I had used Jim's Plumbing for over twenty years, and had these guys doing repairs at my house for over ten.
I called Mario this morning to check a leak that was making a pond outside the house. He said he would be by between 2 and 4 today. The Water and Power emergency person had shut off my water last night. Twenty minutes after I had made arrangements with Mario, he called me,to say that he had had a cancellation, and he could come over right away.
He promptly saw the problem, disconnected the damaged pipe, connected the water back to the house and gave me an estimate for repairs. Since the rotted piped connected to the sprinklers, he proceeded to advice that I water by hand, and decide when I want to do the repairs, since they would run probably $400.00 or so.
How can you not trust him??I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NEW DESIGN PLUMBING!! I,am delighted to have found these men again, and I am passing the word to all my friends!!

New Design Plumbing is great. Came out at short notice to look at a situation I had, made their recommendations in a professional and clear way and did a great job with what I asked them to do. Very prompt, professional, accommodating and courteous. Highly recommended! My dealings were with Mario, Gilbert and Amar.

I used Jim's Pasadena Plumbing ever since we bought this house and had to re-pipe it, so I was a bit at sea when he retired. So I asked my neighbor for a recommendation, and she told me that two of Jim's guys were now in business on their own. I called Mario who set me up with an appointment for the next week. In less than an hour, he and his helper had fixed problems with one sprinkler valve and one bathtub, then addressed an issue with the shower upstairs as well. Parts and labor were quite reasonable. Mario is as politely spoken as one could imagine and he's committed to fair dealing, not scare tactics. I intend to make New Design my go-to plumber for as long as I continue to own this place. Thanks for THREE jobs well done!

I could not have been more pleased with these guys -- after having been given an estimate by Ritz Plumbing for several hundred dollars, along with dire warnings that my entire plumbing system needed to be overhauled because of one small leak (!!!) Mario and Juan were able to fix the leak in less than two minutes for NO CHARGE. They were awesome. Cannot recommend more highly.
