Watch out. Neighborhood sent flyer for cleaning. They showed up on time. It went down hill after that. Technician found problems right away, but wanted more money to find solutions. Another company came two hours later found leak in 10 minutes. Felt pressure from neighborhood technician right away, He talked my ear off. He didn't even know how to use my control pad to diagnose my system. His quote was vague. I will not be calling them again, felt my money was used to have them use me as a sales call.

We arranged for Neighborhood to come out for a $54 AC tune-up and Bryan came out for the service. We found him to be extremely knowledgeable, efficient and professional. Unfortunately our 23 yr old furnace and AC could not be saved without extensive repairs. We opted to replace both units at a very fair price and look forward to not having to call for repairs every new season. I highly recommend!

Worst customer service I have had the tech that came out to give the quote was great and knowledgeable so I figured it be a good company to go with. so I set up a date to have my job done with them the tech told me this day would work if not they would call me. came to that day and no call from anyone and no work was done so I called asking and the gal who answered said with a attitude that it was the next day and that's what it always was set for even though it wasn't the day I talked to the tech about. when it came time to doing the work they only completed half of the work and insisted I still pay for the full job even though it wasn't complete. the office would not return your phone calls when I called i always just got a I will look into it from the gal and nothing further came of it unless I called back.

Very disappointed with Neighborhood. I called them for my a/c not cooling the house down. Glen, though very nice, literally walked around my house and within 20 seconds, without even touching my a/c unit, tried telling me my service valves were leaking and that I needed a whole new unit as it would cost thousands of dollars to replace the valves so I might as well buy a new unit. There was no bubbling at the valves despite him telling me there was. He attached NOTHING to my condenser to test any pressures/levels. I asked him what the pressures were to see if there was in fact a freon leak, as I had checked for bubbles and leaks at the Schrader valves and there was nothing, and he tells me that he's not going to hook any of his gauges to it ""because it may just release what little freon you have left in there and then you'd really have no cooling."" He spent a whole 5 minutes at my house, 4.5 of those spent writing his paperwork up, asking for a check and telling me to trust him as he has 15 years of experience and knows what he's talking about. I of course got a second opinion and it turns out it was the compressor that was going out and the coil needed to be cleaned. Nothing wrong with my valves. Glen wouldn't have known that as he didn't bother to look at my coil inside or test the compressor. If only Mueller's Plumbing and Heating didn't get bought out by these guys. I may have actually gotten a straight answer from them.

The actual work they do is fine, the major problem, they are over charging shysters. First they sucker you with a club membership charging monthly. This is a big rip off and money maker for the company. Also when they do the yearly check up, they will find things that need fixed. They will do it, at a certain over charged price. No itemized bill, no pricing on what the actual cost is or the labor is. They tried to charge me twice on a job I was already charged for. When I cancelled the job due to more work then what was originally told, I had to go to the State Attorneys' office to get my money back. The people in the office are absolutely clueless. Best find your own repair service tech like plumbers or a handy man. Use them at your own risk and the risk of losing a lot of money that could be done by other more honest technicians.

We recently called in Neighborhood Plumbing for routine maintenance on our furnace. They found that our carbon monoxide was over 400 parts per million, condemned the furnace, and turned off the gas. The source of the problem was not investigated, with the only solution being a new furnace. A different company diagnosed and fixed the problem -- no new furnace needed.

I called this company after seeing an ad that said that they answer calls 24/7 and you always get a real person. Well.,., I got voice mail. I left 2 messages and not one call back. I decided to wait until Monday and use Lyons sheet metal as we always have, so I called and left a message with them, and they called back right away. I was not expecting this as their ads don't make this claim. I guess neighborhood could learn a lesson from Lyons. I will never try this company for anything. I can wait out the heat in turn for honest customer service, and I trust Lyons will provide this. My advice; avoid Neighborhood, go with Lyons.

Scam artists. Do yourself a favor and call the little guy in town. These guys enjoy a good ride and taking you for one. Don't fall for the biggest page in the phone book with a bunch of coupons. They have that much margin for marketing for a reason, and that is by telling you one thing at the door and then up charging you until you are ""forced"" to replace your unit for 6k or more.

I was able to get off this ride on the first stop but someone in a tough situation is exactly what they are looking for. Look elsewhere.
