The team at Nationwide Plumbers were amazing! Krista and the office staff were a great balance of professional and down to earth, just overall very good people in a company with a good culture. Pricing was great, communication was clear, always available for questions, providing me with all the necessary insurance paperwork for my building, and was patient with me every step of the way. They were really a pleasure to work with.
The plumbers were knowledgeable and upfront when they came on site, and their work was thorough and excellent, provided me with all the right information so I can make the best decisions to button everything up so I can reduce the cost of re-work in the future. Very reasonably priced add-ons. Highly recommend! They will be the first plumbers I call moving forward.
i hired Nation Wide Plumbers to install my new stove and dishwasher. Working with Krista and David and the was a terrific experience. The operations Team came a disconnected my stove and dishwasher one day and thereafter came a second day to re-connect. The Team was exceedingly proffessional and polite. In fact following all safety guidelines the could not finish installing my dishwasher because I was informed I had to hire an electrician. They returned after the dishwasher was installed and completed the job, they provided all COI documents to my Coop and worked with me every step of the way, they were amenable and supportive. I want to thank Krista and David and the entire Team for their help. I highly recommend Nation Wide Plumbers . my name is Benjamin I am a shareholder.
Ronald A.Needed Nationwide again today for a new problem. I have used this company for every conceivable plumbing issue in my home, from radiators to literally the kitchen sink. Each and every single time, this company continues to prove that this is the only plumber that I will continue to use. Not only do they do the job once, with no need for them to address it again, they do the work as if they are doing it in their own home. In addition, when they leave the job, they leave it cleaner than when they arrived. They continue to prove the old adage, you get what you pay for, and in their case, even more. They certainly are the best.
I used Nationwide for a recent job, fixing a leak in my ceiling. The job ultimately involved some complications. The initial crew they sent over was not their most experienced, and when they realized what they were dealing with they sent over a senior plumber (John) who was truly excellent. Even though the job required a lot more labor than initially planned, they stayed true to their initial estimate, and I very much appreciated that. I was in constant communication with their office and very pleased with their responsiveness. They clearly value customer service (and customer satisfaction). I would definitely use these guys again. For more complex jobs, I would certainly request a senior plumber, as there was a marked difference in quality between the first crew that was called and John, who ultimately fixed the issue.
So ..here we go. The guys were nice guys. Don't like the fact that this company has a high turn over of staff. That says something! Hmm. In any event, I asked for a senior guy. They sent someone with supposedly 5 yrs with the company howver,...he did not do the snaking of the drain! He had the trainee do it.!!! Well, I DID NOT want a trainee.!! What if he damaged my sewer pipe? I know we all have to start somewhere...but I didn't get the first request of the person I asked a for...I got the 2nd and in reality...got the 3rd.!! Used them 3 yrs ago and had an issue. Tried them again....eh...well...not sure now for the future. And very pricey to snake a main drain
Maria C.We have a warranty company for our home should any appliances, plumbing, or gas lines break. As part of our coverage, our company uses Nationwide Plumbing as part of their services. Boy do I feel so much better knowing it's them to call to get stuff done! As a new homeowner, there are some minor things that needed attention. My warranty company would give me the earliest appointment and I would take it. Yvette got back to me within the hour and would send someone out to me same day, if not the next morning! She's so courteous and professional to work with. They send out the team as quickly as possible to get it done. The work is clean and you couldn't even tell someone was at your house. I would recommend 100 times over Nationwide Plumbing to anyone who needs service. No job too big or too small, I feel at ease knowing that they'll take care of me. I highly recommend using them for your plumbing needs!
This is an update to my review. The day after I posted this negative review (and filed a protest of the charge and a BBB complaint), the proprietor called me. He said that he had now listened to a recording of my call and indeed, I had correctly described the job and they had failed to mention a per-fixture charge. He apologized and said he would refund $450. The refund now appears on my credit card bill. Nationwide did repair one toilet correctly (not the other) and after 2 days of arguing and many calls, they charged the agreed upon fee. It is what I originally asked for, I wish it had not been so aggravating.
Original review, now amended: Icalled Nationwide for repair of 2 toilets on a Friday evening. They told me over the phone that the weekend charge was $450/hour. I agreed in order to have a working toilet for the weekend. The plumber fixed one toilet. Snaked the second but could not get it flushing properly. He claimed it was unfixable He stayed for 40-45 minutes. I then discovered that they had charged my card $1004!! I called and spoke to David. He insisted that their policy was $450 per fixture, not hour. When I said that I had been told something else, he changed his story, claiming the plumber worked for 2 hours , then an hour and a half, then that they charge for travel time, etc. He offered to send someone back to complete the repair, but only if I agreed to withdraw my dispute over the charge. I was not willing to pay nearly $600 more than I agreed to, so I had to call a second plumber to fix the other toilet. Who by the way, fixed it in 10 minutes. He threatened to sue me if I wrote a review.
I found this company on a listing for plumbers and read all the reviews before calling them. My mother's bathroom faucet had a leak that other plumbers had a difficukt time trying to assess how to manage fixing it without destroying it & trying to charge for a new faucet and tile work. It is an old faucet, but my mother wanted to keep it and not change out for a new one. Nationwide Plumbers sent their Master Plumber with over 25 yrs of knowledge. I sent them a picture of the faucet, and he was able to find the problem and solve the issue. Thank you very much!!
Bummed to have to leave this review... but here goes: Nationwide sent a good plumber, who did a great job re-piping a leaky radiator. However, they told me a price per hour (and said there was no minimum number of hours). It took one hour on-the-dot. I even called the office to let them know when the job finished and that he had left the building. I got charged for 2 hours anyway. I spoke to the office / managers who said it was a fair price for the job that was done, and it would have take somebody else 2 hours, but the plumber they came was so experienced it went quicker. All of that may be true, in which case they should change their pricing structure to a flat fee per job. Again, the work was well done, but I won't be using Nationwide again, and can't recommend them since their pricing isn't transparent. (Also I only found out how much and how long they were charging me for by my credit card bill... never received an invoice or signed anything) Dang! I'm not looking to pay less than anyone else.. I just want clarity when someone tells me how much things will cost.
Eric C.We were in a jam and needed a plumber on a Sunday, and though we paid dearly for weekend service (2x normal rates), it had to be done and Nationwide came through for us. Unlike other plumbers we called who offer emergency service, someone answered the phone immediately and I was able to book a plumber right away. Plumbers came within a few hours and persevered through a repair that was more difficult than expected. Customer service, both over the phone and with the plumbers themselves, was very good, and I appreciated that they used parts that seem high quality, did not leave until the job was perfect, and cleaned up thoroughly afterward (not always true for other services). I'd definitely use Nationwide again -- hopefully on a weekday!
