Stacey K.Do NOT use them! They cannot meet their own appointment time window. Called for an appointment a week out. Scheduled a 4 hour window of 7-11am. Called at 10:30 to say they wouldn't make it by 11. Asked them to come between 11-2pm not later than 2:15. Never called back. Never showed up. They have been calling my house for months trying to get my business. I finally tried to give them some business but apparently they aren't really that interested. Why can't service providers meet their OWN 4 hour appointment windows?? Or in this case, a 7 hour window????
Bill K.I have long heard of this company so I assume they were reputable. There have an advertised $49 furnace ""check up."" At the end of the ad they state that ""our tuneups are guaranteed for a year or your money back."" I scheduled them to come out assuming they we're going to do a service or some type of tune up or at least check the unit's operation.
When the technician arrived, he called and told me that he didn't want me to""waste my money"" on this service. He further told me that he didn't want me to tell other people that I had my furnace checked by them since he was not going to do a check up, tuneup, or anything like that. This was ""just a safety inspection"" was his exact wording. He tried to sell me on their other services.
I called their office to ask what I was spending $49 for an why the service tech was essentially trying to talk me out of it but obviously trying to up sell me to other services. The dispatcher told me she didn't know anything about the service because she was ""just a dispatcher."" She said she would have a manager call me. It's been a week and no one has called. My wife told me that this person spent more time talking to her and selling their services than doing any actual work.
They are very clever in their wording on their commercial (the $49 dollar service check and their tune up are apparently not the same thing), but to me this is false advertising.
I will not use this company again. As far as I'm concerned, I just paid $49 have a sales person come to my house.
They were not on time (there were several visits). Sending an email as they dispatch the plumber or work crew is not the same as actually getting there during the scheduled time window. When crews were not coming, they never notified me; I had to call them and find out where the crew was. Their communication within the company is atrocious; it's like their right hand doesn't know what their left hand is doing. Work was not finished regarding completely refilling an excavated hole (outdoor work involving water lines). The payment check given to them took a long time to get to accounts receivable, so we received past due notices/threats of sending to collections after we had paid and thought it had been settled! The plumbers themselves do decent work, but I feel bad for them because the company makes the actual plumbers look bad. If you are in Maryland, you call their main (Virginia) phone number to handle all scheduling and issues. Take note that the Maryland and Virginia groups are separate, requiring some all-important communication to get things right.
BJ G.Professional tech very friendly and knowledgeable. Fast service but a bit pricey. $1300 for a few hours of labor. (Parts were cheap I looked up water bibs going for $13 online. )
Sloppy looking final installation, work was performed within about 1-1/2 hours of technicians arrival only to find the waterline install 9 feet of the ground looking more like a shower head than what is typically expected (within 12-20 inches above the floor grade located behind the refrigerator). Extremely expensive considering the technician was only here for 1-1/2 hours. Will not recommend their services.
Niki S.Adam O. did a great job with a broken dishwasher, toliet installation, and some bathroom work. He did such a great job that I'm having him install a hot water heater and dishwasher in the next few weeks. Service was professional, prompt, and within my budget. I highly recommend Adam and My Plumber!
Thank you for your polite and timely return calls. Thank you, John, for coming right out and doing a very good job fixing the issues I had. I appreciate your expertise in addressing all of those issues, you helped me so much. And I do understand a business needs to make profit and cover overhead. However, I think the amount of the fees were excessive and I will have to look for other options next time.
Needed a garbage disposal replaced plus a faucet
badger garbage disposal $105.00 on line...
faucet non name brand $50.00...
charges $900.00 for 4 hours of work with parts and the tech finishes the job in 30 minutes.
I work in the industry so I know how it goes, but wow!, isn't that a lot????
very disappointed in the high pricing so i will not be using My Plumber again!!!

My Plumber replaced a water valve and the inner workings of one toilet. They charged $575 for 50 minutes of work and maybe $30 maximum parts. This is outrageous price gouging. They have been our plumber for years and years, but we will never call them again. DO NOT USE MY PLUMBER! BE WARNED - even if you decline to have them do the work after they quote you a price, you will STILL OWE THEM A $79 trip fee. And by the way, My Plumber rep offered me $50 to remove this review.
These nimrods told me I needed to ""rebuild"" toilets at $400 per toilet, a new toilet costs about $150 to $200 and installation is about $50. So they completely ripped me off. I am a landlord who lives 100s of miles away from the house and they took complete advantage of me. I complained and they never responded. UNREAL
