Incepted in 1961. Barnett's started as a family-owned company by Harold Barnett with his brother-in-law Dick Parkhurst. Dick left the business in 1964 to relocate to Alaska. Harold focused on plumbing, heating, and air conditioning systems in newly constructed homes until the recession hit in the 1980s when his son Bob took the reins and guided the company toward new opportunities.
