Incepted in 1961. Barnett's began as a family-run enterprise by Harold Barnett with his brother-in-law Dick Parkhurst. In 1964, Dick departed the company to start a new chapter in Alaska. Harold focused on plumbing, heating, and air conditioning systems for new homes until the economic downturn of the 1980s when his son Bob stepped in to lead and redirected the company’s focus.
