Was referred to this company by American Home Shield. I scheduled them to come out ten days in advance. They never showed. I called AHS, who spoke to this contractor, who replied that I never spoke with them or scheduled the appointment, to which my phone records and my fiance's ears disagree.

I couldn't believe that such a glaring error could happen with a company that thrives off of responding to plumbing emergencies.

I am so glad I went with someone else, even though it means I have to take more time off work. I think it is worth it to have someone reliable, which this company is most certainly not.

Shoddy repair. Plumber disassembled my shower fixtures to fix the leak and put it back together haphazard. No caulk, because ""caulk isn't covered under the warranty and he doesn't carry caulk on his truck"". In addition, he tracked dirt clods from his shoes into my house AND used my bathroom to relieve himself. When asked about another plumbing question when ""Ed"" the plumber arrived, he said that would have to be another claim, another $60 fee because it wasn't on his current work order. When I called to complain to MSE, the secretary hung up on me. Horrible customer service by the office secretary. The owner did call me back and told me, ""Lady, get out of here"". I will never use this company again. Definitely don't recommend them.

The technician who came out to my house changed out the gas regulator on our water heater on a Friday. Which saved us from buying a new water heater before the holidays. Unfortunately there was a problem after the install and when we called for help Mse had closed for the weekend. We had no hot water and I was very upset that no one called me back until Monday. Don't have this company do any work for you on a Friday!

I agree with the other reviewers: I'd give zero stars if I could. Not only are they hacks, they're also unethical shills for their only customers, AHS home warranty. They just got done fixing the same two problems they supposedly fixed two months ago. I watched the diagnosis and repairs (I'm an engineer and former general contractor, so I know what I'm looking at), and they wrote it up as something else to avoid being blamed for a bad repair.

Yes...i wish there was a zero star option. I, too, belong to AHS so i had to use MSE Plumbing. I would have RATHER paid Ivo from B&I plumbing whatever he'd charge because the mess that was left would NOT have happened. long story short, Ed smashed my 60 year old tile to gain access to my cold water pipe in my kitchen sink. How am i supposed to fix that?? He didn't even try to tap out a minimum amount of tile to do what he needed to do! he SMASHED MY TILE! I'm contacting my bank to stop payment on my credit card.

I had the PLEASURE, and I say that, simply to emphasize how far efficiency and kindness goes.
Of course, there was a plumbing issue, clogged sink that was affecting the dishwasher and the other side of the sink.

Ibn; Our technician, was not only in touch with us prior to the appointment, to ensure that he was as accommodating to our schedule that he could be, but he also made sure to give us constant phone calls/updates to let us know when he'd be arriving.

Ibn knocks out the sink with minimal effort. He explained everything that he was going to perform, before he performed it and made sure that I understood fully, what was going on.
Now, he's on his way out and I happen to let him know that maybe one day in the near future, he could come out and look at our bathroom tub, due to the fact that it too, has a very slow drain.

Ibn didn't skip a beat, he asked to see the tub, took a quick look at it and walked back to his truck to get a couple more tools, in about 5 mins, that tub issue was resolved.

The price was still the same, even AFTER he fixed our tub.
I've looked at a couple of places and trust me, you're not going to find any reputable company close to quoting you $75.00 for a sink and bathtub repair.

When all was said and done, there were no traces that he was ever here, very meticulous. I will definitely call his supervisor with a glowing review.
If all of the other technicians work with the same tact and efficiency, like Ibn; I personally don't see why this company doesn't have 5 star reviews across the board.


I am now inclined to believe that Yelp does indeed extort their customers (small businesses/companies) by placing the worst of the worst reviews on their page if the company does not pay the ransom.

MSE was called by my home warranty (AHS) because i had clogged toilet. after waiting several days for a response they finally made it to my house. When Derek the technician showed up to my house he was on the phone and not very professional walked in and while talking on the phone carried on his conversation while leaning up against my wall as though he had just walked into his buddies house.

I showed him to the bathroom after he ended his call and proceeded to flush the toilet about ten to fifteen times and then determined it needed to be replaced because the ""lazy flush"" is notorious with my brand of toilet (Sterling) I told him that my other bathroom has the same brand and there is no issue with that one.

He left shortly after and said he would call AHS to report it as broken. It never crossed my mind ask him to snake it but i requested that he come out and do that prior to installing new toilet. He and his company refused and would not return any of my calls. I called AHS and they stated that they could not make them come out for that request and that they would have to replace it. To which i responded well that will more than likely cost more than just snaking it. Both MSE and AHS have absolutely no customer service and they are horrible when it comes to returning calls and making sure customers are happy

this is the third bad experience i have had with AHS and first and last with MSE i would not recommend any of these companies

Worst company of all time!!!! First of all, if you're using them, it's most likely you already made the mistake of buying the AHS home warranty, so I'm sorry about that. But then you call about a plumbing problem and they send these jokers out! These guys will find any reason to not fix your problem and collect your $60! First problem I had; they said the pipe was out side the foundation, so it wasn't covered. Second problem I had; they said my crawl space was too small and their plumber was too fat to fit down there! Now I called AHS because I went down there and fixed the pipe in the crawl space my self but, after I fixed the leak, the pipe was clogged. So I called to have them snake it, but they came out and then left because they said it wasn't on the work order! I hate them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have known Ed (the owner) for over a year now. We have sent him out to many of our rental properties. They have done great work and at a good price. Would refer them to anyone looking for a local and honest plumber.

I just want to say that MSE is the best! Their Tech IBN came to our emergency and he was done all in all 35min. He was very understanding and so professional. Their office staff got better too and the lady that answers the phone is so polite ..thank God they got rid of all the bad people . They r the best !
